why won't he sue
Why won't he sue
why would an octagenarian care about twitter drama, dumb zoomer?
It's free publicity though.
mononoke currently doing numbers at the rerelease, cant convince me this wasnt all some weird marketing stunt
Studio Ghibli shit is overrated. Yeah they look pretty but the stories make no fucking sense and just have random things happen with no explanation
Howls Moving Castle
protagonist quickly adapts to being an old woman and barely freaks out
she gets onboard with joining Howl with barely any convincing
evil witch gets turned into an old docile woman and they all just keep here around and pay her no mind?
Spirited Away
protagonist gets absorbed into this weird spiritual world and barely freaks out, just starts working there like it’s no big deal
falls in love with a boy she barely even interacts with
turns into a dragon
there is no explanation for this
dumb plotfag
the animation equivalent of jiggling keys is PEAK
Companies like Disney and Ghibli need to do a joint lawsuit for this AI slop that's been plaguing the internet recently. The more companies that sue the better. This will unironically reshape how AI images are used and created
oh no something promotes my movies!
I AM SO FUCKING TIRED OF PEOPLE POSTING THIS.
HIS QUOTE HAS LITERALLY NOTHING TO DO WITH GENERATIVE AI.
PEOPLE SHOWED HIM A FUCKED UP SEWER ZOMBIE THAT MOVED AROUND USING ITS HEAD AND HE THOUGHT IT WAS GROSS BECAUSE HE HAS A DISABLED FRIEND.
ITS FROM TEN FUCKING YEARS AGO.
IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GENERATIVE AI

it will go away in like a week. if it lasts that long.
also this is another case of creative people shouldn't be worried about AI, since even if someone copies your artwork, it will only be used by creatively bankrupt people who just hop on trends.
great artists will be fine in the future, good artist will have to improve - but that was the case pre-ai as well. you couldn't really make great money by being good/average, since pajeets and co were doing the same for 10% of your wage.
only low iq people are afraid of ai, who don't see it as a tool to enhance their workflows.
the biggest downside is that the web is now filled with even more mass-produced garbage, but imho that just make it easier for the truly great stuff to stand out.
He already "retired from making movies" 3 times
unironically defending huge companies
unironically calling for AI legislation that will spiral and end open access to the people
this will then consolidate AI to be in the hands of mega companies which will monetise the shit out of it while also limiting features

The only big worry with AI is that it’s going to manipulated by governments. They’re either going to fake videos of attacks to justify war or they’re going to use the sheer amount of AI slop to justify a Ministry of Truth
He should be happy the repetitive task that he spent countless hours on can now be delegated to computers. Now theres no barrier for his ideas
oof
even as a cartoon, jaime pressly makes my boy parts tingly
that's already a thing, but governments already had tools to do this. And it's not like gullible people really NEED super detailed and accurate videos to believe something that already further their existing beliefs.
Scammers will scam, hustlers with hustle, governments will make propaganda, suckers will believe. It's all the same in a new coat.
1 minute and 3 seconds for my rig
4 second scene takes 1.25 years
they animate those on threes right? so 8 fps x4 sec, that's 32 frames took them a year and three months?
that's why they should hire fans

see people already believe anything that further pushes their existing opinions.
Could have outsourced this to India and had it done in 2 months
it's a complex shot everything in it is and individually animated character
He's an old guy and Sam Altman probably threatened his entire extended family.
the only reason ive never watched any studio ghibli movies is because i feel like they wouldve been magical as a kid and left a long lasting impression, but as an adult would probably be totally underwhelming. im actually a bit sad that i missed out on them
That article isn't even related to AI that we have to day, it was in relation to a game and the way the devs used AI to make a model learn how to move when it had no limbs and Miyzaki has a melt down about it for no good reason.
why doesn't Miyazaki like kino?
they are still good as an adult. watch the first 10 minutes of one, and you will know if you will enjoy the rest of it or not.
That sounds crazy but they probably did 90% of the hard work the last 2 weeks of that time.
nah they are kind of timeless, some are more kid friendly while others definitely have more serious themes
creates "art" in 5 seconds
The people screeching the loudest about generative AI will be mindlessly consuming AI content in about 4 to 10 years. There may be grumbles, but nobody will really care. It's the same as what the industrial revolution did for clothes. AI will make graphics and animations cheaper faster and more accessible to consumers and only enthusiasts will care about handmade. If all you do is make art to fill a blusky feed you are rightly being 'replaced'.
Governments just do attacks for real and claim it was the other side. They don't give a fuck about some celebrity porn tech.
you know for a fact he would react the same pseud high and might faggot way to this Ghibli ai stuff right now because hes a faggot high off his own farts
I bet he's seething and shitting his pants in complete impotent range alone in his room crying like a deranged baby. Serves him right for ripping off Moebius. Fuck this cheap hack, fuck Japan and above all, fuck jannies.
thats literally not true
god, i hate twitter so much its unrreal
The annoying thing about AI is that it is skirting under what we have been told is already law. You can't copy software. You can't put movies on Youtube. You can't torrent things. One rule for them another for us. That's why people are pissed.
You will never win against internet misinformation
the AI images itself don't infringe anything, them using the images to train the AI could be said to be infringing but as long as it's free there's nothing they can do about it
As an adult I appreciate them even more. They put insane effort into their animations that a kid couldn't appreciate. Pic related, water flows differently at low Reynolds numbers and they took that into account in their animation.
