I need to rewatch it sometime just to see if a specific scene was in that I think was from this show. Otherwise not worth it for Garland dropping the ball in the end.
I did. It was flat and not very interesting. The weirdest part was how intensely unlikeable the company head was, yet the show seemed to be trying to present him in a synpathetic light. Not a clever juxtaposition, but like the director misread the script.

A show about killer snow is somehow boring.
What a cinematic achievement.
It turns out the DEVS predictive model of the future was just a hallucination, as is the case with all AI, and it couldn't predict an AZN girl flipping the script. The model was "good enough" to run a simulated universe inside the company mainframe, where a version of the CEO and protagonist live on. The entire site comes under government control and will no doubt be consulted by the CIA/FIB/NSA to predict the future and manipulate events.

the relationship and pseudo-spy plot ruin the whole premise. fake drama crap you dont need at all. just focus on the god algorythm and have your spy thread throughout the whole few episodes without killing him this early, like youre some god damn tech mafia. cringest shit ever. less is more, focus on the essential, so it has time to shine. the fat quadroon playing with the second ahead algorythm was one of the few modern tv moments that actually psyched me out. or him giving the excellent little "comatose" speech to cailee, only to get downplayed by blondy. tone it down, let the moment swing for a minute. and then, what did garland do after? some boomer slop civil war crap. sad! also, deductive points for not giving us another nude scene with sonoya. fuck you alex! no, braless shirts aint enough for me to go on.
