Force Awakens was a boring rehash

Unlike the story about a new jedi heading to find an old master who's hidden away on a deserted planet and seeking training but first the master says no he won't train them only to have a blue transparent figure from his past talk to him and convince him to train the new jedi which mostly is light physical work and him just explaining what the force is in vague terms and then he puts the young jedi in a spooky cave that shows some weird visions that may or may not relate to the overall plot but when in the spooky cave the young jedi leans into the darkside which upsets the master and then afterwards the jedi receives visions from across the galaxy and realizes that their friends are in trouble so they go off with the intention of facing the fallen darkside apprentice despite the protests of the old master and after a conversation in an elevator between the new jedi and fallen darkside apprentice the new jedi confronts the crinkly old darkside weilding master who corrupted the apprentice jedi and after it looks like they're about to be killed the jedi is saved when the darkside apprentice betrays and kills his master. All of that and while this is going on the side characters from the first movie are running away from the Empire who are hot on their heels and eventually come to the conclusion they need to meet with this new character on a new planet so the side characters detour and meet up with the new character only to have the new character betray them to the empire.

It's so fresh that the scene where the main character and side characters are on a pure white planet and being attacked by giant four legged walking tanks on the rebel base and only just barely escape specifically in the millennium falcon happens at the end of the movie this time!

Seriously how did critics show their ass this hard. They kept pushing "It's just so different!" and the dumbest fucks ran with it.

The salt planet battle is a blatant hoth ripoff. but shittily copying the OT is something all three of the sequels did - TLJ is the one that makes the most unique creative and plot decisions.
