/who/ - Doctor Who General

Why yes I am homophobic, misogynistic, and hateful.

Racist? Heavens no.

Conrad my son you can have this big titty blonde or become a pet for indian woman and her old white mother

the book covers look like the old harry potter books did. i guess there's also a subtle swipe there at muh transphobes

the timeless child was written by a straight white man. discuss.

Squats, piriformis stretches, even hamstring stretches can help with this.

Fucking Rouge of all people

You think that's too many fucking characters Russel?

so the world is HIS wish? Britain with nice suits and less screens and stuff, early 20th-century but with SOME modern advancements too?

and he can affect culture? he's not like that Rory ap Williams guy, he WAS a trendy podcaster even with his motives. he's fine with a multiracial population (multicultural? different religions etc? or is it just skin colour and they all integrate?)

i ask because the show feels like a sudden spooky moment that a bloke expresses anything homosexual. the guy doesn't even respond like he's a 1970s homophobic skinhead about to do some gay bashing. it's like to him it's strange and new and scary.

why did he un-do the gays? or the tolerance/awareness of gays? he's fine with women workers? workers of all races and creeds? can they all vote? the world actually looks nice ;_; but i'm guessing it's meant to be what a slimy little shit's "perfect world" would be...?

He also is seen criticizing classic who.

i guess there's also a subtle swipe there at muh transphobes

Fucking hell I didn't even think of that.

Imagine being RTD and just constantly being on.

Rogue*

thanks anon. i do need to exercise more in general. GP asked if it was affecting my relationship and no, not really. we just couldn't have sex, at random, sometimes.

do a few curls or whatever it's not l then become aroused, but i'm fired up to the point i could THEN immediately have sex. supposedly my testosterone levels are fine, any dysfunction is just age + depression according to the docs.

fucking rouge of all people

I'm not saying this show would be BETTER if there was a big titty bat girl in it, but I don't think it would be worse.

How come he didn’t have a wife or kids in this perfect world he wished for himself?

It's all very ADHD-coded.
There is no coherent plot behind any of it. It's just a series of events moving in a direction. The bone palace was never explained. Why disabled people are above suspicion was never explained.

what exactly does bother people more in TTC?
the Other ripoff getting canon?
or the fact that half of TTC's selves were ethnic?

the wheelchair resistance is coming to save the day

flamboyant gay types make being gay their entire personality

Honestly made more sense than anything else in that episode.

What was the deal with the walking skeletons?

most likely group of people to have their nonsense fan fiction published in some way, whether it's a novel or even on the main TV series.
that side project all about LGBT+ in Doctor Who is obviously going to be written by LGBT+ fans. maybe they have great writing experience and know lots of interesting history, or maybe it'll be utter wank that just happens to be in the Doctor Who Universe.
i'm glad a woman writer who makes 'a show' of being a woman didn't write Jodie Whittaker's series. in the end that barely mattered, there wasn't even the backlash they were expecting, it just wasn't very good. but in my darkest nightmares i see Doctor Who written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Peter Davison and Sarah Sutton.webm

Why disabled people are above suspicion

anon, the Davros retcon made it pretty much clear that this is a given in current year writing. literally the same as sound in space.

They had like 10 minutes were they explained them, did you not see?

Rusty’s just getting all his leftover ideas used up at once because he knows the show’s getting shelved after next week

The explanation is going to be Conrad is a white supremacist neonazi who also happens to not be racist so that the BBC can meet the filming requirement for POC but is sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and ableism.

All because this shit showrunner during his first run made 1 gay and trans joke with some villians who happened to be disabled. So now he's over corrected to the point that the far left are even mad at his decisions.

Anyways here's hoping that he dies horrifically and the Doctor does a dance like with Al and Kid

The Rani leaves the gay guys alone at the end of the Interstellar Song Contest

Ok, this isn't the Master were dealing with here, that makes sense...

Fast forward a week and she fuck's that baby's family's shit up

What the fuck.

Gotta test that baby magic wishing

Go away furry, nobody likes you!

What's with OP's not providing the backlink?

. Why disabled people are above suspicion was never explained.

It was all very wishy-washy and nebulous, as ever, but the way they set it out makes it sound like Conrad just doesn't really give them much thought at all, so they don't fit into his Wish World properly and are able to just carry on unnoticed

huh, for some reason i thought Lawrence Miles was Asian or mixed race or whatever. maybe because of his Unquiet Dead post.

i know he's actually a schizo but didn't he have some masterplan idea too?

They were a straight white family. Frankly I'm surprised her killing them was even supposed to be a bad thing.

i know he's actually a schizo but didn't he have some masterplan idea too?

You talking about Faction Paradox?

No Conrad

sadblueis.png - 1280x720, 909.49K

huh, for some reason i thought Lawrence Miles was Asian or mixed race or whatever

Nah he's just a big fat cunt.

They went out of their way to make Conrad NOT racist.
He ended his broadcast with "anyway... here's pictures of India." He was concerned about causing a flood in South Africa.
I don't think there's a single person on Earth who would say their ideal world is a happily married black and Indian couple who hate gays.

Wait, maybe hardcore Christians.

they sort of explained this in the episode, that the whole point of the remade world was for it to be shoddy enough to have people doubting the legitimacy of it, because the baby can't sustain altered reality like that and they needed reality to collapse so they could break through to the penis dimension or whatever the fuck

But this is still just...word salad. Why doesn't Rani just wish for reality to fall apart?

So, for those that are actually watching, what's even happening in the show now? Who's the guy in the OP image?

Who's the guy in the OP image?

Why he's the Doctor of course. Who else would it be?

He's the new doctor.

Give me an episode QRD since I don't watch this slop but wish to make fun of it.

It's a nightmare dystopia where...
*Checks notes*
People marry, have children and live happy fulfilling lives

when this show eventually gets rebooted they need a 2nd doctor and jamie dynamic again
just two bros exploring the universe

When is he coming back?

I just remember them saying 'That's weird'.

This story is too confusing for casual viewers

Never. Russell Tovey is the new Mater.

Who's the guy in the OP image?

He's some guy from earlier in the season who decided he fucking hated UNIT for dubious reasons and started doing online conspiracy theory stuff to try and smear them by convincing the world aliens aren't real and it's all a big government conspiracy to do something or other, and the whole episode was just a very heavy-handed analogy for various sorts of reactionary conspiracies/X-denialism that ended up contorting itself around to taking the moral stance of, "an unaccountable security apparatus is GOOD, actually!"
Anyway, the Rani recruited him at the end of his episode, so now he's in charge of the God of Wishes, which is a Bavarian baby from the 19th Century, and the whole world has been contorted around the guy's wishes, and it's all part of a scheme by the Rani to break the universe and get to the underverse(?) so she can recover Omega or some shit IDK

So there's that guy, who was a chud. They gave him a magic german baby who could grant wishes and he remade the world in his image, with tradwives and no gays. The Doctor is there being married to his companion and whenever someone doubts something, the world disintegrates a bit. This produces energy to rip a tear in time and space to release Omega, a dude from Classic Who. The Doctor has no agency is basically retarded, the cripples all formed the resistance with Ruby, but they don't have agency either.

Conrad believes Shirley is faking her disability to claim benefits

In his perfect reality formed from his beliefs, Shirley is still in a wheelchair begging for handouts

Honestly bros, no memes, does RTD have some sort of neurosyphilis?
Are we going to look back and say "It's honestly amazing he was able to make anything given how far along he was."?

Why would RTD cast a fellow gay man to play the Master?

The Doctor created all the gods and magic in the universe because he poured salt on the floor

The girly and the freak, though I'm not sure which is which.

You and your gang are public enemies number 1, 2, and 3, which by the way is ticking every demographic box so good for you

cripple resistance

What the fuck how can this not be a meme?
How did this show fall so far? This is literally a Anon Babble parody but unironic

I've genuinely believed for a while now that RTD is unironically suffering from mental degradation. It's different from the likes of Chibnall and Star Trek's Alex Kurtzman who are just simple hacks, and Kathleen Kennedy who is driven by pure and deliberate spite.

At some future point can the Doctor remember that Romana was left in E-space?

This is what happens when you give a man only yes men and free reign over a tv show

Not young enough for Russel to fancy him anymore. So never.

The random political outburst always land into strange places, like the time Moffat stopped a woman from being a brainwashed slogan-chanting cultist by reminding her what happened when she obeyed COVID lockdown.

Calls Jack a girly and a freak because he's gay

Calls Martha a freak because she's black

Yikes.

I'm so far removed from the lore of the show at this point.
Why did Conrad say the Doctor and the Rani were the last two timelords left? I know Chibnall destroyed Gallifrey and RTD is sticking to that, but the Master still existed.

Come to think of it, why the fuck did Conrad know any of this?

Bring back Romana

Anon, you fool.

Monkey Paw.gif - 498x379, 1.67M

The Doctor is the last Time Lord and the Rani is the last Time Lady

Oh shit, our passive progressive Russell's gonna set off the mongs who get triggered by the term Time Lady again.

For me it was when the Doctor was supposed to be assimilating into regency era London social standards to find out what was going on, someone made a comment that could be construed as either sexist or racist at Bill so he punched him, breaking his cover.

Toymaker killed the Master. Who owns their tooth? Who fucking knows or cares

They put The Master inside the Toymaker's tooth and he's still not out.

disabled people are superheroes

but the Master still existed.

He's dead again now, he was in the Chingchongchinaman Toymaker's gold tooth (which was then picked up by a mysterious female hand, which is TOTALLY NOT THE SAME AS THE RING FROM LAST OF THE TIME LORDS SHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUP)

untitled-43.jpg - 1400x700, 126.25K

The Master was out of regenerations and ended up trapped in The Toymaker's golden tooth after losing a game to him. A random hand picked up the tooth at the end of the 60th.

I didn't watch the Conrad ep and never will bother but I assume the Rani filled Conrad in on the lore and told him what to say in exchange for him getting to turn the world into his 1950s fantasy

Romana was left in E-space

She left and went back to Gallifrey to become Lady President.

At least that was done for comedy to show that Bill could handle the racosm of the time period while Capaldi couldnt. Unlike 10th who'd prob let Martha be sold into slavery in Shakespearen England.

Was this just a throwaway line or am I going as senile as RTD?

why the fuck did Conrad know any of this?

The Rani told him.

Was this just a throwaway line

yes

Why? Why would the Rani sit down and explain this shit to him? Why would he care?

I actually said to my parents while watching this 'They never called Jodie Time Lady'.

Throwaway line. Toymaker smirks with his gold tooth to hint at the Master's fate before describing how he killed all the gods, including the Christian and Ragnarok ones

Romana II or we riot.

hqwz6pwz_o.jpg - 685x1024, 477.6K

I really don't think it matters. They never actually bother to reconcile how the Master can apparently die sometimes but not use up regenerations, and when a new Master does show up they don't necessarily explain why or how. I think Moffat having two Masters die at the same time in an apparent bootstrap paradox was a sendup of just how little sense the character's continuity makes if you think about it at all

Why did Conrad say the Doctor and the Rani were the last two timelords left?

So that it'll be dead shocking when Susan comes back next week (even though she was fucking in it last week)
The trailer's also pitching the Rani's motivation as being to make a new Gallifrey, so presumably that's also setting up for the finale's big emotional dilemma of

the Doctor has to sacrifice Gallifrey to save the Universe!... again!

So does RTD hate white and straight people or does he think this will make him "down with the kids"?

Lalla Ward is still alive

What the fuck? I could have sworn she died years ago. And no, I'm not getting her mixed up with Mary Tamm.

The latter. He's a 62 y/o childless homosexual who is desperate to prove that he's still just as relevant and finger-on-the-pulse with it all as he was back in 2003

the Doctor has to sacrifice Gallifrey to save the Universe!... again!

I think RTD forgot why we were okay with it during 10ths run. Then Moffat at least explored the day itself regarding the button. Doing this three times is fucking annoying

Leftists genuinely hate us now and have for a bit. There's every reason to suspect left-wing terrorism gets normalized over the next few years and we get a recycle of what you saw in 1960s Europe, etc.

Romana 1 > Romana 2

There's every reason to suspect left-wing terrorism gets normalized over the next few years and we get a recycle of what you saw in 1960s Europe

You're confusing Neo-liberals with Leftists. An easy mistake to make considering they often get confused themselves.

It's funny because legally, the BBC and its programming is meant to be politically indifferent because it's funded through taxes.

every reason to suspect left-wing terrorism gets normalized over the next few years

We're already seeing it excused all the time.

I do not see why people want Romana to come back, or perhaps put better they are not truly thinking about what her return would be like beyond just the idea of it. I feel like at whatever point of NuWho she would never properly have worked, as the show would never enable the dynamic she and the Doctor of Classic had. Now at this point 1) I do not see why you would expect her to be handled well, and 2) why taint the character with this absolute shit?

Was almost shocked that RTD made the villain a woman of colour. I then realised she has 2 white underlings who are made to appear weak.

The only incidence of left-wing terrorism I can think of was the healthcare CEO getting got in America.
If you think Just stop oil are left wing or terrorist you're an idiot. They're funded by the oil companies to inconvenience the public as much as possible (blocking roads at rush hour) but they never actually do anything against the companies themselves. Funny that.

As someone who doesn't really engage with Doctor Who forums outside of here, which of these final leaks are true.

15th Doctor regenerates and it's an open ending

15th Doctor regenerates into Billie Piper

Fifteen doesn't regenerate but Susan does and they set up the Christmas special which probably ain't even happening this year now

Like I get the whole string of Midnight sequel, Fugitive Doctor cameo, Susan coming back, Mrs Flood bi-generating into the Rani, and Omega being the big bad came from the same source but are one of these endings part of all that? Is that leak about Conrad bi-generating into a Russell Tovey Master true?

Thought the idea of a Time Lord God was cool. Can someone give me a tldr on Omega?

Ncuti filmed an open ended regeneration scene back in February and right now it's looking very likey they then later bolted on a separate "Oh, I'm Billie Piper now" scene.

politically indifferent

Officially, they're meant to stay 'impartial'. It's a very subtle distinction which basically means that individual programmes can express overt opinions on a topic, but the overall output has to represent the wide range of views. There's no obligation to stay neutral per se, or even to treat the whole range of views with respect, just to ensure that they are represented. It's all a lot of mental gymnastics and two-faced language

because it's funded through taxes.

The Television License is not a tax, and is entirely opt-in. We're not like Germany or Ireland or whatever, where it's a compulsory fee for every household. You only pay for a British TVL if you want to use the service

Omega was a contemporary of Rassilon who fell into a black hole and got trapped in antimatter universe, or something

I don't pay attention to any leaks other than what I see posted here, 90% of the time I will see the maddest bullshit known to man and legitimately think it's a shitpost, somebody trying to be funny, then it ends up happening in the show.

If they actually do that then the show is ruined.

I am not ready for Billie Piper wilderness years

Hopefully as the world cracks open and bits of the old world seep through, those Doctor Who fans will come back, correcting the canon. Their plot hole fixes become wishes that take effect in the world.

"Omega! Didn't he technically lose his ability to survive outside antimatter dimensions in one of the Target novelisations?"

"Yeah, without the full suit, he should be decomposing in regular dimensional space."
"Not to mention he doesn't have the Hand, Staff, or Prosthetic Penis of Omega..."
"GOOD JOB MY BABES, YOU'RE ALL DOING IT! Ha, now I'm YOUR biggest fan! :-)"

670986.jpg - 640x480, 58.6K

I don't want Doctor Who to be cancelled. Not because I give a shit about the show but because /who/ won't be active.

I was spoiled the Song Contest episode and it sounded interesting enough to watch. And I pictured the "torture scene" like Doctor would push Kid into the wires and there will be screaming and stuff and it will look like he's completely lost it.

But in actuality it looked very playful like he was a bully in the schoolyard, so weird.

Yeah and it only went on for like 2 minutes.

He'd better not be an animal in the finale.

7nthKdzI_o.jpg - 1600x1080, 262.3K

He's a CGI crab apparently

>Fifteen doesn't regenerate but Susan does and they set up the Christmas special which probably ain't even happening this year now

Well, Ncuti's just been fucking sacked, so any ending which doesn't have him regenerating might be very messy

What if you took off his mask?

It's gotten me thinking about old "leaks" like Omega blowing up the TARDIS in 2010 and the Gelth returning in Army of Ghosts. The one I remember vividly is the Series 4 one that said Harriet Jones was gonna be back as a bad guy trying to get revenge on the Doctor. So glad we got what we got. It's funny because you just know that current year RTD would absolutely have gone down that route.

Bet this happens

ncuti bigenerates

Billie Piper new doctor

ncuti goes off to the hell place with his boyfriend

As somebody that's just starting to watch more Who, is it a contrary take to say I've really been enjoying Peter's take on the role? He has this great world weary gravitas that I've enjoyed so far, though I'm not real far into his season

12th.jpg - 612x380, 29.46K

Are you asking about Omega as in his backstory from Classic? Basically one of the founders of Time Lord society. Got sent to an anti-matter universe. Omega effectively just exists as consciousness without a body and only maintains an essence due to his willpower. In his first appearance he is trapped in the anti-matter universe in a situation where his presence/will is what keeps the reality sustained, the only way he can escape is to release his control, yet if he releases control the reality would collapse.

Billie Piper doesn't look like a wise old lady. She looks like a pop star who's had too much plastic surgery.

Fuck the teasing and Big Finish shite. Just swap over to the Fugitive Doctor. Universe B is taken care of with the death of whoever the lady was. She travels around in her ship and occasionally some Division (?) assassins from a now-fucked-and-fractured universe/timeline try to kill her.

Otherwise, it's just all new adventures and very little in the way of callbacks. Takes on the mantle of the Sixteenth Doctor even if she isn't, from her perspective, but she IS following the Fifteenth so why not?

Basically a clean slate, despite being connected to Chibnall stuff everyone hates. She is someone I want to see in the TARDIS, sure. And being fat means she NEEDS companions to do stuff for her: not just become technobabble smart-arses themselves. Bit more like the original Ian and Barbara dynamic.

Capaldi is pretty routinely hated here. We're more into the Jodie seasons.

RTD wasn't the show runner in 2010.

If they had soul they would just give him his The Three Doctors costume.

So how does Omega exist as the first time lord if the Doctor is "le timeless child"?

Nice reading comprehension, mong.

t. grandpafag

bluetranny.jpg - 1996x1200, 343.56K

Theres still classic who and big finish

What episodes do I need to watch to understand him?

You're enjoying it then

He was the inventor of their time travel not regeneration. Timeless Child is still shit though.

Hell's not so bad. It's just Heaven for bad people.

After sodomy and a few games of Dungeons & Dragons, yeah, I expect they'll end up in Hell together.

they then later bolted on a separate "Oh, I'm Billie Piper now" scene.

Like in Time and the Rani?

omega is a crab because the omega symbol vaguely looks like a crab

RTD the writer you are

Enough about class 2016

Ah I see. So he creates the Tardis?

Ncuti unavailable to record the regeneration scene

they just start with Billie Piper lying on the floor in blackface instead

I'll grant you a series led by the Fugitive Doctor but we'd have to get a top tier white babe as companion in return, a real Seven of Nine type.

And being fat means she NEEDS companions to do stuff for her

Good, makes it all the more important for the companion to be a fittie.

The Three Doctors
Arc of Infinity

Laughed in real life.

He is only in the serials The Three Doctors and the Arc of Infinity. Arc is shit in general. The Three Doctors will provide the context, though I feel like that serial really rests more on the novelty of it being the first multi-Doctor story - it is fun seeing both Third, Second, and First* Doctor on screen together. *First is barely in it due to the actor being very ill.

I want to see Conrad pull pic related on the Doctor. The image of Ncuti being confronted by a white dude who has made himself out to look like him to the point of blackface would be the most hilarious thing ever.

Dr Phil.jpg - 1080x1183, 95.07K

Why are all the regenerations lightshows now? The TV movie did it right by making it body horror-esque.

The real villains behind the scene actually want you to doubt the fascist narrative and destroy the world

What did RTD mean by this?

Effectively yes. The less straightforward answer is no, it is seemingl more he did the theory and engineering that gave way to the development of TARDIS'.

fittie

Bro what?

That's fine. Even make her strong/useful. She's the Doctor's ASSISTANT, not just companion; she can fight or hack or something. Maybe even in a tight silver jumpsuit since she's a demi-human from the 27th century.

Meanwhile a contemporary man ends up on board and he's a bit more objectionable, ultimate Fugie knows what she's doing, but sometimes challenging her is the right call. I miss the feeling that the crew were working together as a group, even if there's some bickering.

Just swap over to the Fugitive Doctor

How about you go be gay somewhere else?

I haven't gotten to any of hers yet so I'll just have to take your word

So he's more of a philosopher than engineer?

I liked her. I didn't love her, but she was good.

There's fuck all else to salvage.

Ohh the anti-mavity gloves! And Ruby Sunday's mum! And what ever happened to the Meep haha. Can't wait to see where UNIT's relationship subplot goes!

There is NOTHING. Could just skip ahead too I guess. 23rd Doctor. Some actor. Adventures. Go.

He says he created the energy source to power the TARDIS'.

Doctor makes it back to the TARDIS

big, explosive regeneration

Billie Piper is the new Doctor

still being chased by Omega

has to use the Chameleon Arch

lays low in London, but needs to make money

becomes a call girl

We're finally getting a prequel to Secret Diary.

sorry shes not the timeless child but susan's mother

no

No that was Rassilon, Omega worked alongside Rassilon in creating an energy source for their experiments and got pulled into a realm of antimatter after detonating a star and got stuck while Rassilon went onto create time travel, tardis and time lords. And threw down the magical matriarchal Gallifreyan empire which itself was slowly collapsing. Various bits of media toy with the idea that Rassilon claimed credit for stuff omega did/did the majority of.

He is an engineer. His work is foundational for the Time Lords and their ability to time travel. Him going through a blackhole though meant he never got to continue his work or seemingly see the throughline to the development TARDIS' as they became. Some of the extended universe stuff goes with the idea that Rassilon sabotaged him to remove competition - though that is neither here nor there for the show.

15 regenerates into billie piper

Oh and it was later on that omega and rassilon were retconed into being contemporaries and coworkers

Oh look it's the Asian bird from Waters of Mars.

I knew there was a reason I broke the Laws of Time to save your life!

Because when I think of Omega, I think of... that.

moqI9g.gif - 720x405, 2.66M

Omega will be the last Doctor Who villain before cancellation. Ironic.

AI isn't usually that consistant with similar images. Jesus christ it's real. He's a dildo crab

Russell's been playing the long game for all this time. We were wrong to doubt him.

Like I said, he posted other images too.

He's getting the same treatment as Sutekh did , only he's not a big dog, he's a giant CGI lobster. Not joking, you can screenshot this and check back next week. Also:
The Doctor regenerates (literally for no reason) at the end but it fades to black before he changes.
The show is not coming back any time soon. It's been axed.

I liked her. I didn't love her, but she was good.

Like I said, go be gay somewhere else.

If I had to wager, this was originally just a monster of the week directly under the control of the rani but the ratings going to shit means RTD needs to punch the scripts up. Namedropping 'omega' generates a bunch of free advertising thanks to hyped up nerds on the internet talking about muh lore

Namedropping 'omega' generates a bunch of free advertising thanks to hyped up nerds on the internet talking about muh lore

predict the viewing figures

He looks like a rejected Zygon revamp. WTF is ReTarD smoking?

2.4 mil (7 day consolidated) for The Reality War

I'm just coming at it from the logic of them finally remembering some of the other Time lords to have featured before, and also remembering there was still one more prominent one.

naw he becomes Billie Piper

Rassilon and Omega weren't mentioned by Chibnall in The Timeless Children because he doesn't know who they are, so how are they relevant again?

Hamas, dude. Lefties love them.
And any atrocity carried out by a Muslim or migrant has the 'tiny minority' defence force responding (plus Sadiq Khan's comments that it's just what happens in big cities).

I'm sure that doc will just wish the world back with the baby

heaven forbid we live in a retrofuturistic society with heterosexuality as the norm. I could do without the weird moose skeletons, but maybe Conrad thinks those are cool?

Nah that can’t be real. Not even RTD would make Omega a walnut with a face

Even worse than Sutekh.

What would the Brig think of his daughter getting involved with an Arab man

If someone has ratings for the last few eps I could try at it, but it won't be anything substantial. Bringing back the Rani (who appeared in all of two episodes, during ratings slump periods over 40 years ago) and Omega (who only hardcore Who nerds will get excited to hear about) isn't going to get a wider audience's attention. Getting nerds on YT make free commercials for you helps to maintain momentum with things that already have a buzz around it, but it doesn't create momentum where there isn't any, and can't reverse negative momentum. Bringing back the Daleks would be an exception but they've been so overused (and often in such an inconsequential manner) in the new series that it doesn't matter either.

Look at the guys other replies. It's real. You can see designs that match the interior of the bone ship from the latest ep too.

What if.....?

How could anyone not understand this is superior to any Who made after 1990?

He wouldn't care because he himself shagged an African woman and had a child.

if you want to use the service

If you want to use ANY live TV service, even if you never use BBC.

Season 3 episode 1 - The Moon Doctor
Following the events of Wish World the Doctor revisits the library to reunite with River Song who has been wished back to life, but an ancient evil awakens

Give him credit, the fucker was a teenage Whovian in the mid-1980s, of course he knows them. They even technically appear in the Timeless Children only they're not acknowledged since you couldn't only dump so much infoshit into one episode.

Look at how he massacred sutekh

not TV

Not canon.

He's fine, but his stories are rubbish.

It's David Tennant again, isn't it?

Actually the Haisman estate controls the rights to the Brigadier and they approved it so yes it is canon.

Boney M's let himself go.

This gets to the issue of who is the audience supposed to be. There was the claim that this was supposed to be a jumping on point for a new audience but, if you take NuNuWho S1 there is both so much not explained and it relies on Classic. Bigneration? Who are the Time Lords / what is the state of them? UNIT. Susan. Sutekh. Rani. Omega. Even if you got back to the specials with 14th, you have them banking on nostalgia.

If Rani needed to harness the power of doubt, why didn't she just show everyone a picture of this and tell them it's a woman?

I believe the original leaker given that they’ve got a 100% record so far.

Sutekh posting was great. The only joyful fun that has come out of any of this.

test

id laugh

people apparently liked the unmasked Ice Warrior.
that was real. i believe this is real. i hate it.

yeah i belive the original leaker

It's Matt Thundercock Smith.

It would honestly be the most fitting way for it to end. NuWho completely incapable of accepting that its best days are behind, desperately trying to revive the late-2000s again to stay afloat

would u say the same thing if its actually billie

what the fuck did the gay bridgerton man mean by hell dimension or whatever he said

Very much in the same vein, although at least slightly more novel than doing literally the exact same thing as RTD tried when he first came back

So one of these is rassilon and the doctor/techtayun?

I'm not saying this show would be BETTER if there was a big titty bat girl in it, but I don't think it would be worse.

Perfect opportunity... Missed.

Titty Tetraps would have been a great "Something for the dads". Much better than the "Trad Wife" one they went for this episode.

(Note for chuds: Tetraps are the bat-like aliens from Time and the Rani)

Without an inspiring speech that gets EVERYONE to hope the world back to how it was?

probably in the same place as omega

i am going to kill RTD

The white guy is Omega, the zesty buck in the middle is Tecteun, and the old black guy is Rassilon (the extra was cast for his resemblance to Don Warrington who voiced Rassilon in the audios).

gay people go to hell

which one is he? any answer you give will be ridiculous and insulting to the character

“OH! THE LOST MOON OF POOSH!” - the last words spoken in NuWho.

is this true

Problem chud?

"still not ginger"

fucking what? he regenerates into the valeyard?

04:26 — “Myths are just science in its infancy.”

08:55 — “Time dulls the gods, just as it makes forgotten truths impossible to ignore.”

09:15 — “The sis is a bit of a negative Nancy, isn’t she?”

10:01 — “Don’t follow me.”

11:01 — “If you see this man, push the button, understand?”

12:01 — “Nurse who?”

12:08 — “Look over there and read what it says: Are you trying to get us killed?”

12:15 – “Shirley, it’s me, Ruby Sunday. How can you not remember me?”

13:26 – “How long does the average pair of socks last?”

14:38 — “Whatever happened to ‘love thy neighbor’?”

15:08 — “But no, my dear, you just lack a little vision!”

17:11 — “You’ve twisted the threads of life, death, and order for years—why can’t I unspool the same defiance in my own creation?”

22:21 — “They’re still here, you know. Scattered all around. I can smell them—hiding in the shadows like the cowards that they are. At first, I thought it was because of me… but now I think it’s something else. Oh, you know, don’t you? You finally know the truth”

29:21 — “Subtlety is key, it’s something he never seemed to understand.”

30:03 — “You had the chance to be so much more than that. Something eternal. But you chose weakness. Now look at you, all these years later, still chasing ghosts, still clinging to a world that never wanted to be saved. You’re just a child!”

36:16 - “I guess it’s time for me to go. Think of me, okay, as you live your life. One day at a time”

38:19 — “Wish upon a star...Wish upon a star? Wish upon a star!”

39:22 — “Don’t you understand? I did this for you, for all of you. A world that no longer needs a Doctor… because I became the cure. I did what had to be done, I bore the burden, I crossed the line, so you wouldn’t have to.”

First is barely in it due to the actor being very ill

There always seems to be a curse with multi-Doctor stories. Hartnel couldn't appear in most of The Three Doctors, Baker refused to do The Five Doctors, and Eccleston wouldn't come back for Day of the Doctor.

i feel like Twin Peaks The Return is literally the only revived thing that didn’t ruin my feelings about it. otherwise i wish dead things would stay dead even when you occasional get a good even great episode/whatever in a revival it’s not worth the desecration of the original’s character and concepts. Andor is not worth what they did to Luke in the Rey trilogy, Heaven Sent is not worth The Doctor losing his borderline asexualness, etc. 73 Yards is not worth The Timeless Child, etc.

40:21 – “Wait, we can work together. I know things. The Daleks, they’ve gone quiet, they’re planning something, I’m sure of it. I can help you. Please, Doctor, we don’t have to be enemies”

43:09 — “I’m here to take back the show, honey.”

43:58 — “Honestly, you both need to think long and hard about your taste in men.”

44:34 – “From the void beyond the stars. Through dark matter and burning skies. The first and the last shall rise. Omega! Omega! From the ashes of broken past. Breaker of fates, creator of time. In fire, in storm, in a breath beyond space, return from silence, return from death! Omega, hear us – Omega, rise!”

48:22 — Do you remember our tree, Grandfather. The one we planted the day we left."

48:43 - “We promised we’d go back, didn’t we? To make sure it had everything it needed. But we never did, did we? We never quite found the time. Well, last I heard, that tree was one of the tallest and most beautiful on Gallifrey” -

53:16 — “By the way, I loved the outfits.”

54:22 — “You are not alone. You never have been. We have walked beside you—every step, every heartbeat. And we are here, now. Until the end.”

54:49 – “Onwards”

You now remember that I.M. Foreman is a Time Lord in the Eighth Doctor novels.

Fucking hell, Russell, how many of 'em are you gonna cram in here.

Yes, just over 6 inches

The Rani, Omega, apparently the Valeyard as well. This is like a /who/ shitpost actually happening. Doctor Who is now full-blown self-parody without realising it.

dugga doo

these are such shit

You defended RTD in the Moffat and Chinball era

Baker refused to do The Five Doctors

The other thing with The Five Doctors is they wrote it so Second and Third were separated as Troughton and Pertwee did not get along on The Three Doctors, though by the time of Five Doctors they had become friends and were disappointed they were not in more scenes together.

I, too, am in this episode-AH.

All it's missing is for Kal to appear and crush Omega's head with a rock

Kal_29.jpg - 600x469, 33.83K

RTD1 and RTD2 are entirely different things, due largely to but not entirely because of the rapid degradation of his brain

I was always yelling at you guys for having rose-tinted glasses about what a shit writer he always was. He shoved in his faggot politics into his first go too. I have no idea how people didn't notice it.

RTD1 had wranglers.

His politics were fine.

If you are a faggot

I can honestly say I've been chatting shit about RTD consistently since he was still showrunner in the 2000s
I've never even dropped the

muh rose

bit

Omega is really such a one-note and dead-end villain. He is interesting enough in The Three Doctors, but there is little else to really do with him beyond the initial mystery and reveal.

You say this as though Dr Who hasn't totally reinvented itself and turned upside down before. If you compare the various eras and epochs of the show then there really is little continuity in truth. When was the last time we saw Davros? He was the main villain in my head when I watched the Tom Baker series and anyone who calls themselves a fan owes it to themselves to learn about the history of the show.
New villains always come and go: it is simply the nature of things.

What are his views on transsexuals, though?

What is there to discuss? The idea is just simply retarded regardless of the creative.

Bit mean.

This feels fake now.

most people did, it's that he held himself back and still remembered DW was for a general audience.
for example he would hack Jack be a man whore and kiss the Doctor on the lips but still kept the Doctor himself hetero.
I don't ever expect him to be 'based' but he's not even reasonable now.

Poppy has been in a bunch of episodes. They even point her out in the African barbershop spider spaceship trickster gods story god episode. But there were a few things going on so it was easy to miss.

I hope the Meep shows up for two seconds, says something about one of the Ranis being "the Boss", and then leaves.

Wrap everything up. The show is doomed.

bring back sabalom glitz and sharaz jek for good measure

He really didn't, right from the start he had patronage from Jane Tranter (head of drama commissioning, BBC1) and Helen O'Rahilly (deputy controller, BBC1), and he was co-producing Who with the exact same people as are co-producing it right now (Julie Gardner, Phil Collinson). If anything was lacking before, it was his own confidence in being able to 'get away' with stuff, not anyone senior holding him back

they really had to throw in "ableist"
RTD you fucking retard welsh monkey faggot

YJK he used the Harry Potter style because he wants to associate JK Rowling with Conrad to show how horrible white people are.

I saw it getting posted well before last week's episode and the Rani and Susan reveal. I don't pay enough attention to know how much about the finale was known but calling and writing up dialog that banks on both of them, and Omega on top of that, is ambitious for a shitpost. You'll find out less than 5 minutes into the ep if it's real or bullshit so I figured I'd post it

They wanted to make it popular with a general audience back then. No doubt his bosses at the BBC vetoed a lot of the crazier stuff that would’ve scared people off. He’s been given full creative control of the show now, so that guard rail is no longer there.

RTD1 was good because the big faggot was being tard wrangled by 90 year old boomer BBC executives who still worked there from the 50s and 60s.

I was thinking earlier they should bring back this guy from the The Armageddon Factor, because why not?

1000.jpg - 1000x722, 92.07K

Early NuWho seemed anti-religious. Jokes about how the space station forbade smoking, teleportation, and religion. That type of thing. Richard Dawkins was on to explain how the stars moved, as though he was an expert scientist: today he's known more as a weird crank.
Now humans need the gods, because they're real? It's not superstitious and rational science is about that sort of thing?

I think the BBC in general has a shift here, from the old John Lloyd crowd (think Douglas Adams, Stephen Cry, and co). But still. Does Dr Who worship God? Even if Christianity didn't reach Gallifrey, does he follow its tenets? Met Jesus? ...or is it all bullshit?

I believe that too
is that Drax? why not

WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT OMEGA REDESIGN?!

Drax

Yes.

Is "Onwards" supposed to be the last line? The final is said to be 65 minutes long, not 55.

You could probably do some stuff with him, but the problem is that he's just a timelord. He shouldn't be a CGI monster.

WHY is he a cgi crab and not just a guy, or maybe a goop person like what happened to him in Arc of Infinity

I'm not sure if you could have just casual acquaintances now. At this point this man knew The Chosen One, the Bringer of Death, The Time Lord Spectacular who...

Can't just have some guy who sat his Academy O-levels at the same time. (Unless that was a planted story by the Division to TRICK people into thinking Dr Who was 'ordinary'.)

Drax is actually a bigeneration of Romana.

Maybe it's something that pretended to be Omega to escape death.

Doctor makes it back to the TARDIS

big, explosive regeneration

Billie Piper is the new Doctor

still being chased by Omega

has to use the Chameleon Arch

lays low in London, but needs to make money

adopts a human family

assumes the alias "Rose Tyler"

the NewWho loop is closed, show ends

bravo RTD

I'd say a really tall guy, with acting chops.

For the mask reveal, something like a hideous scar but I don't think you can do that now.

I was quite young when End of Time came out. What was the reaction to bringing Rassilon back?

the time lords must have had some equivalent to christianity in their history

People saw Timothy Dalton and their minds turned off.

So what caused the BBC to begin pandering to what is a minority in the UK? Its not just the pandering but the active efforts to make the majority look like terrible evil people.

The UK is over 82% White and 89% are straight. So why is every character I see on TV non white and homosexual? This is MASSIVE over representation.

It largely passed without comment. In the grand scheme of things, there were a lot more egregious issues with EoT

Also RTD could get away with plagiarising from Buffy and Angel because the average British viewer hadn't seen those shows
Nowadays he's plagiarising Stranger Things and Marvel and people can see through it in the age of streaming

I was 10 years old and the thought at the time was "this guy looks important".

My parents and grandparents saw Timothy Dalton and were instantly on board.

Michael Grade (yes, him) and Greg Dyke getting the ball rolling for mandatory racial and sexual quotas in shows.
Now it's really strict to the point even historical dramas can't get exceptions unless they're portraying something explicitly race related.

Poppy being wished into existance explains how the doctor has a grandaughter without having sex

The Eigth and Tenth Doctors were also meant to be there for his birth, and one of his incarnations from Ten and before was around to know what really happened with the first Easter.
But despite this, the Doctor isn't a holy man. He doesn't necessarily like religion, but he recognises that faith is powerful.

I was also young, but having watched Classic since then it is baffling to me that it is Rassilon and not Borusa. To a non-Classic audience Rassilon or Borusa means the same. It was not like the same internet culture existed then to explain it. From a Classic perspective it does not seem in line with Rassilon as in the show. Even kid appreciated Timothy Dalton, but him being Rassilon meant nothing.

where did they have to hastily film jonathan groff on a bad greenscreen for his 2 second cameo

oh cool, Timothy Dalton, he's good.

wonder if he's a previous character...Rassilon, maybe?

last five seconds of his screen time:

"Back into the Time War, Rassilon!"

no effect whatsoever. maybe some people thought "who's Rassilon?"
guess it was just Rassilon.

To a non-Classic audience Rassilon or Borusa means the same

well one of them is Rassilon and one of them was just another president so I guess to appease everybody they go with the more important one

Yes because RTD1 was better then both eras. In retrospect NuWho was a fucking mistake, classic and wilderness with a pinch if Briggs finish is where its at

Classic was never good.

Yes if you are a faggot

No. The Doctor accidentally let all these extra-dimensional, god-like beings from outside the universe, because he invoked a superstition at the very edge of the universe (the salt).
This is true.

Let me guess. Tennant is your favorite doctor?

ape crisis.png - 1280x1133, 1.33M

I could see how you'd disagree, if you are a trans.

Yes, i'm a homosexual.

That should be illegal.

Nuwho > classic who

Classic is occasionally good but by the time you get to the fifth Doctor you're already holding your breath through most episodes swear are masterpieces but are too under-budgeted to be anything but painful to watch

Most people watching would have no context about either of them. The story does not even explain Rassilon or hype him up. It could have been Dalton playing Borusa and it is the same effect upon most of the audience. Looking at it from a Classic context then Borusa seems like the more reasonable choice to go with, given both his history with the Doctor and characterisation. Those without context do not need to be appeased, and from the perspective of those who do have context Rassilon makes the less sense - or if it was done should have been played up more given that it is such an important figure as Rassilon.

The main problem with it is that it's too slow and the special effects are bad.

Series 1 > Season 1

Series 9 > Season 9
Series 10 > Season 10
Series 11 > Season 11

Series 14 > Season 14
Series 15 > Season 15

It's certainly nice of the shitposter to allow us a full day of discussing this terrible show before he got back to being an obnoxious troll.

Doctor Who is one of the best shows I have ever watched.

Truth
See you retards next week

I'm trans btw.

After seeing ‘Season’ 1 and 2, I’m very glad the rumours of a McGann spinoff under RTD turned out to be false.

I think Moffat having two Masters die at the same time in an apparent bootstrap paradox was a sendup of just how little sense the character's continuity makes if you think about it at all

Anon, that... didn't happen. That was the most continuous Master death of all. You misunderstood the scene.
Missy stabs Master, Master lasers Missy. Master didn't perma-die there, he simply regenerated into Missy. He was only stabbed, it's no biggie.
Now, apparently Missy perma-died because of the full force laser, but then the normal Master thing of escaping death somehow happened and she turned into 13's Master.

If all past doctors retroactively bi generated according to RTD then the same could be said for Missy

Turns out that DOCTOR WHO is less improbable time travel adventures, and more DEI-ROT POO.

TIME TO DUMP THAT SHIT AND PREFER THE BETTER CHOICE...

Peabody's Improbable History (un-restored) "Show Opening"
m.youtube.com/watch?v=D-QM00ABzfk

After submitting references (one of which being the president), Mr. Peabody was awarded full custody of Sherman. However, he insists that Sherman should never call him Daddy or Father, but rather Mr. Peabody, Or when speaking informally, simply Peabody. Upon finding out that Sherman needs running room, since there isn't a lot of space in a penthouse, Mr. Peabody builds Sherman a time machine for his birthday. They go to Ancient Rome, but they cannot understand the Latin dialogue the man is saying. Then they go to Pennsylvania in 1752, to watch Benjamin Franklin's famous kite-flying experiment with electricity, but find that Dr. Franklin is not a very nice man and hardly ever lets other people talk to him. So Peabody makes some modifications to the machine and changes it from a time machine into a "should have been machine", contaminating the past with anachronisms and making the historical figures act weird, as if they were humorous characters in a cartoon show.

Which basically makes the WAYBACK MACHINE (WABAC) a HOLODECK with time travel themes.
