Are we really supposed to believe these characters exist in a world where zombies are this new thing that never existed in pop culture?

zombies have sex

they are called Zomboners

Would you prefer meta references to how zombies were a thing in pop culture

looks into camera

wow, this is just like a mobie!

See Shaun of the Dead

Are we really supposed to believe these characters exist in a world where zombies are this new thing that never existed in pop culture?

Yes. It's hard to imagine an actual zombie apocalypse in a world happening with zombie media culture. It would be impossible for anyone to take anything seriously, because they'd just be thinking of stupid zombie movies. It's scarier and less distracting when there's zero precedence for a cannibal apocalypse scenario (outside of the occasional book nerd saying "Hey this is just like I Am Legend"

Id say this desu id be telling everyone about niche kino that explored this possibility and books and theyd throw me infront of zombniggers to shut me up

Most people don't know any zombie movies by name or remember what happened in them enough to recall scenes.

If the zombies were fast people would be saying this is just like 28 Days Later, but us knowledgeable ones would know it's actually like Nightmare City (1983)

I'm pretty sure literally every normie I've ever met in my life has watched several seasons of the Walking Dead (and the Last of Us show, more recently). World War Z and the Resident Evil movies also made half a billion at the box office, and the Dawn of the Dead remake is a modern horror classic. L4D also once had a peak player count of 140k, which puts it on the level of Apex Legends and Helldivers 2. I can't imagine how out of touch you must be to think that most people don't know any zombie media.

How many normies can define exactly what a lich is?
Not many.
In their universe zombies are as niche as any fantasy creature race thing.

Think you mean (1980) desu

no one knew what a zombie was prior to the walking dead

Bait or zoomer. Call it

Educated people knew it came from Haitian voodoo

rape a zombie girl

other survivor gives you this look

wat do?

how are zombies supposed to reach a critical mass in the first place if a normal person with a plank of wood or a bat can easily beat one
who the fuck is dying to the few starting zombies? retards and geriatrics?

zombies as apocalyptic event has always been inherently retarded, every trope it relies on is retarded, zombies are meant to be a small scale horror thing but it obviously loses its novelty after a single story. every zombie apocalypse relies on unrealistic incompetence, inconsistent zombie power etc.
its one of the shallowest genres ever and i dont get why normies love it so much.

if a normal person with a plank of wood or a bat can easily beat one

Yeah you can beat ONE, but what about a whole horde that has you cornered?

You were born in 2007

zombies are super slow and stumble around, you can beat 5 easily and you'd have to try to get cornered, you can beat a horde of 100 zombies by standing on a car with a plank in your hands aslong as you have some white monsters for the energy you need.

the vaccine killed more people than 20 zombie "apocalypses" ever would.

patient zero zombie wakes from the dead and tries to kill somebody

they use the fact that they aren't retarded to clock it in the head with a bat

nobody dies to make horde

amazing

Zombies gonna clime up and drag you down and rape you

they're not smart enough to climb

The setup you're describing is literally nonexistent. In the Living Dead movies and the Walking Dead, the virus/radiation is airborne and automatically reanimates all dead people, regardless of if they're bit. In 28 Days, the Dawn of the Dead remake, and Zombieland, the zombies are extremely fast. And in Resident Evil, the virus was put in the water supply, so there were thousands of simultaneous "patient zeroes". Have you ever even actually seen any zombie media?

in 28 days the speed and power of the zombies basically meant the rest of the world immediately quarantined the whole UK and they beat it, until the sequel where again it went wrong only due to unrealistic incompetence.

How are they even smart enough to walk then or grab and bite anyone? Nah they are grabbing your legs and raping you.

they're animated corpses that follow humans around and bite them spreading the infection, thats why they're so weak and easy to beat they have no intelligence or strength or speed.

Well, most people are unathletic and probably not expecting a zombie attack, so a few getting infected is at least probable. And the first couple reports of a "Zombie Attack" will get laughed off before they start being taken seriously. So probably a few hours to a day before some sort of response is mounted.
More than enough time for a group of Protagonists to have their little misadventure.

Unless we're talking about bullshit Return of the Living Dead zombies, in which case we're all fucked.

Crossed zombies are the worst case scenario.

multiple simultaneous patient zeroes in every country for no explicable reason

if they catch you, they'll rape and torture you to death

they can operate guns and lace the bullets with their bodily fluids to infect you with

creates a nonexistent strawman and gets called out for it

gets mad

Based retard

They wont even need to climb btw, one wrong move if even that is necessary youre off that car roof and raped.

It literally happened to us in real life a few years ago. They called the common flu "covid".

If zombies were real, it would be politically incorrect to call them zombies. Like, those were people's loved ones.

We prefer the term "mortally challenged"

We

I remember people would shit on WWZ for being "unrealistic" about how the pandemic would spread, then it happened exactly like how it happened in the book.
