What are some great movies entirely focused around revenge?
With either the protagonists or the antagonists revenge plan being the main plot
Cape Fear was great (haven’t watched the original but I hear that was great too)

Recently watched Avengement. Probably th best modern revenge action movie I’ve seen in years.
Scott Adkins is really a fantastic action star, not sure why his career never really blew up, u think his biggest roles were just being a fighter some movie star had to beat. You can tell this guy is legitimately ripped, is a real trained fighter and does all his own stunts.
Gist of the plot is he’s set up to go to prison, the bad guys who set him up also want him dead so he spends YEARS in prison, constantly training to fight and be strong, all while surviving regular attacks by inmates, really fucked up stuff
So as soon as he gets the opportunity to get out, imagine how hard he goes after the people who fucked him over, all in gloriously choreographed action violence
Trailer here. It is schlocky but I love it. The actions feels so visceral in the movie, and surprisingly good acting from Adkins as he potttshs a pretty normal dude at the start, then him gradually turning himself into a monster to survive all this shit in prison. Feels like a completely different character by the end
I Saw the Devil
first blood
more animosity but revenge becomes a big part
death wish
vigilantism
commando
action version of death wish. people can complain about there's no real revenge done but I'd argue the results speak for themselves
The Toxic Avenger
Thriller/Ms. 45/Audition
The Crow (not a good movie but revenge serves as the main passion for the protagonist)
V for Vendetta
Only death wish is really about actual revenge. First blood was just a ptsd rampaged where he held back, commando was personal mission. I wouldn’t consider that revenge otherwise almost every action movie is about revenge. Like John wick
Death Sentence was like a modern version of deathwish but I enjoyed it much more
James Wan is a great director, very versatile
don't listen to anyone else... find a solid version of Golgo 13: the professional and watch it.. its pure revenge kino. even if you're not into anime.. it's like the 007-version of cape fear but in an animated form

u can ty me later
First blood was just a ptsd rampaged where he held back
ha, sounds like you didn't watch the movie.. once his pal died from fallin outta da chopper, the cop went full Max Cady on Rambo.. how is that not about seeking revenge?
Commando, personal mission
tell that to Sully
The Count of Monte Cristo
John Wick (just the first one)
criminally underrated flick
Cape Fear is a good movie, but it only made me want to 'punch Deniro in the face. For some reason I can't stand him
The original is more to my tastr
Law Abiding Citizen
Martyrs
Desperado. It's a bit cheesy in parts but still very cool. Worth watching for prime Salma Hayek alone.
Aren’t they making a sequel somehow?
Payback.
Make sure it is not the gay ass cut with the woman boss. Theatrical version is the best one, which is usually not the case.
It has Asa Akira in her prime and Mel Gibson being himself.
Whiteys getting mad? Look out everyone! Lol not anymore huh? Replace you soon, trash.
W..what happened to Sully?
He couldn't stick around.
Guess what did you forget about the awesome soundtrack?

The Crow (not a good movie
You are saying the 2024 version of The Crow is not a good movie right?
KIIIIINOO
The Limey
1994
Tony Scott kino. Sure, it's a remake but the original is pretty trash.
Once Apon A Time in the West
Will we ever get to see the lost ending? The way the film just abruptly stops has never sat well with me.
You go to hell. You go to hell, and you die!
Amazing movie
Kill Bill
I'd rather go to hell than be a fucking goth-fag. If you don't realize The Crow is a mid movie then you're hanging on the wrong board. If Brandon hadn't died we'd laugh at how bad the movie is.
Why didn't they use the Death Wish name? It's written by the same guy.
We all knew it was a mid movie you fucking retard, they didn't pretend otherwise. And it was and is still great as a b grade movie. But you don't get that. Because you're a faggot.
Based Scott Adkins enjoyer.
