The one near my grandmas house got torn down and became a Joann’s Fabrics. She goes there sometimes and my mom gets mad because she spends all her government money on useless stuff from there

I had a blockbuster like two blocks from my old apartment.
When it closed down I grabbed a shopping cart from the QFC in the same parking lot and went into the blockbuster with it and loaded it up with all the movies they were getting rid of.
Filled the whole thing and spent like $300-ish bucks as most of the movies were $1 to 2$

It got split up. The main section is a dog spa and the former vidya section is now a smoke shop.

Shifted so many times over the years. Right now I think its a Subway and ATT store

No clue. I remember them being around, but I wasn't really a customer. So I genuinely have no idea where we had stores around here … whereas I know all our former Tower Records locations.

Only time I remember going to Blockbuster was when I heard they were clearing out old video game stuff. People on Usenet reported picking up kitted out Virtual Boy rental sets. Only things I picked up were some "Game Factory" cartridges for the Genesis.

The knockoff Dollar Tree owned by Indians near me used to be a Hollywood Video.

It closed and became a auto zone ages ago.

It became a small Sears, then that got tore down and became a car wash. My Hollywood video became a Japanese hibachi restaurant, and the locally owned video store became a private k-12 school.

Weed dispensary. There are two other dispensaries within spitting distance that replaced real businesses.

Anyone have any good Blockbuster stories?
A year or two before they closed the new release walls were covered in direct to DVD garbage. I accidentally rented a softcore gay porno disguised as a serial killer movie and the clerks gave me funny looks. I thought they were eyeing me weird but chalked it up to me being stoned and misinterpreting social cues. I was wrong.

I remember the drug dealer who was basically the guardian of the Blockbuster and them always having problems with the nogs giving fake addresses, renting N64 games and never giving them back

Became abandoned then got burned down by homeless people. Apparently a bunch of homeless people lived inside of it, they had to leave their shit and evacuate when the fire happened, there were homeless people crying in the streets, you would’ve thought one of their buddies got left inside and died.

What the fuck is with car washes popping up like mushrooms? There are at least 8 of those subscription car wash places in the medium sized city I live in and more being built. They all popped up within the last 3-4 years.
