Rest In Peace joe Don baker

Didn't he die 20 years ago?

Guess he went ahead on

Joe Don Baker (February 12, 1936 – May 7, 2025) was an American actor, known for playing "tough guy" characters on both sides of the law.[1]

Rip in peace, ham sandwich.

This guy made every movie better. RIP, king.

Framed is a fucking masterpiece of action kino. Watch it. Joe Don's best unless you count his small kino role in Fletch. nb4 Mitchell kys

buzz of kid. BUZZ OFF

I'll have to get real baked and watch the MST3K of Mitchell tonight in his honor.

That sucks that he died. I liked that he was in those Bond movies I guess. Although GoldenEye is the only one I liked.

I hate Tommy LaSorda.

"Uh, can I get another meal?"

MEATBALLS FRIED IN LARRRRRD!

F
Mitchell is the ultimate kino

Did rifftrax ever do other joe Don kinos ?

I unironically like Mitchell, though.

It's a fucking weird movie. I still don't get the plot or the motivation for any character. It's like every person and the *script* itself somehow is disinterested in everything.

TONY! YOU KILLED MY BROTHER COWBOY!

Rest in Peace, guy who died ten years ago and was resurrected by CERN and is now dead again. I shall watch Mitchell tonight, but not Final Justice because I just watched it.
P.S. You were a good villain in The Living Daylights, which I also just watched. Sorry I killed Joe Don Baker, guys. And yeah I watched it a week ago, when he died for real.
Alan Oppenheimer is probably next. Sorry!

You son of a-

YOU'RE the son of a-

The plot's not that difficult to hollow, but the MST3k version cut out a lot of scenes that made it clearer.

rich guy John Saxon shoots a petty robber for kicks

Mitchell knows it was cold blooded murder

department doesn't want anything to do with it since Saxon is connected

instead assigns Mitchell to watch a smuggler (Martin Balsam) to get him off the case

Balsam is in trouble with his own people

they hijacked some Mexican heroin and want him to smuggle it into the US

meanwhile Mitchell is still obsessed with bringing down Saxon

he sends a hooker to Mitchell as a bribe

he doesn't take it

Balsam uses Mitchell to bring the heroin in, promising him a big bust

instead he double-crosses both Mitchell and his own people, then tries to flee the country

Mitchell kills the bad guys

he wins basically because everyone underestimates him

Honestly it's not even a bad movie, it's low budget and doesn't strive for greatness but it's a comfy, offbeat 70s cop drama.

GIVE STICKY NAOW

But where the fuck did Saxon's character go? I might need to watch it uncut.

*follow

Alright, that's fair. I didn't dislike it, I just felt lukewarm on it. Sunday afternoon type of film really with a few extra chuckles when I start thinking of fat jokes and JDB.

WHERE DID SAXON'S CHARACTER GO YOU NIGGERS?!

Its amazing that final justice is even worse then mitchell

Final Justice in infinitely more entertaining that Mitchell. You must be on hard drugs. They go to Malta and see hot women and do fun things, none of which happens in Mitchell.

Viewers of the MST cut may be wondering what happened to Deaney. He tried to run Mitchell down, but flipped his dune buggy and got himself exploded in a scene that was removed from the MST3K version. The opening credits are showing a portion of that scene, incidentally, where Mitchell smashes one bad guy's head with a rock before boosting his buggy. Deaney's death is mentioned on a radio newscast Mitchell is listening to while staking out Cummings. His disappearance is amusingly lampshaded by Servo during the movie's climax with him randomly commenting, "Hey guys, wasn't John Saxon in this movie?"

Guess I'm shadowbanned/haven't sucked off the tranny jannies, but there you go.

Corey from Pawn Stars died too.

Mitchell kills Saxon's character in a somewhat silly dune buggy chase. As much as I like MST3k, it was dishonest of them to cut the scene and then pretend like the movie just forgot about him.

So the Broccolli's ripped off Mitchell's poster for A View To A Kill? lol

Yeah but it was funny, so it's okay. (I just looked it up minutes before you posted because this place is a shithole now)
Fucking captachas can suck my dick.

I mean as an actual movie. both are funny MST3K episodes

Ah I agree then.

I never liked MST3K cutting movies because of ads and all. Just cheapens the whole thing a little bit. I still enjoy MST3K but god I hate the cutting for unfunny skits and shitty ads.

I mean, thats the only way it could have aired on tv back in the day. otherwise every episode would be 3 hours at least

Cut the terrible skits except for an intro skit, between 4-7 minutes long and then make it just movie + ads.

Hope he got a last sip of liquid beef before passing

Reality slop

Kill yourself

Honestly, if that weren’t the Joel/Mike transition episode, I probably wouldn’t watch it as much as I did. I always found the movie really boring and confusing. It feels like 2/3 of the movie are just Mitchell staking out houses and having dinner, and then everybody just starts shooting at him at the end. If I’m honest, I don’t even remember what happened to John Saxon, because the other crime guy who lives in a huge house becomes the focus of it.

WHERE'S THE FUCKING STICKY

now hes in heaven with cameron mitchell

RIP, 89's a good long life.

RIP Buford Pusser
