Fix them
Fix them
not make them at all
If Natalie Hershlag isn’t getting naked in it, why bother with it anyways?

Make the clones the antagonists that the seperatists use
Make the republic army composed of draftees to better sell society militarizing

Get rid of Qui Gon
Stopped reading there.
Stop making Slop Wars threads.
Qui-gon fan doesn't read
Not shocking
get rid of the mentor and focus on the twink and twinklet "relationship"
poof off wanker
Let JJ Abrams direct them and a room of Marvel contemporary trend and quip experts write them.
Better yet, just poll what the audience wants to see and make the movies into a series of references and epic scenes loosely connected by some plot about a doomsday weapon.
Alternatively, bring in some literally who fanfiction writer to make a dark and gritty sci-fi misery porn series with no Star Wars elements for the more mature fans.
Tony Gilroy should have directed the Prequels and JJ Abrams should have directed people to their seats in the theater.
The issue I have with Qui-Gon is that despite liking him, there's very little that I feel is achieved with him that could not be done much more efficiently by simply having Obi-Wans development through Ep1 be baked into him from the start. Consider we spend 2/3rds of TPM building Ani and Quis relationship, only to essentially restart that process over with Obi-Wan in Ep2
Get rid of Qui-Gon
I don't have to read any more of this post to know that this is a reddit letter media parrot
I want you guys to explain what they did with Qui-gon that they couldn't have also done with Obi-wan. I get the feeling you guys are incapable of understanding that you can get the aspects you like about Qui-gon out of Obi-wan.
cast Hayden Christensen for all three movies
give Anakin and Owen Lars an actual fucking relationship so him being given custody of Luke in Episode 3 makes sense
replace Mas Amedda with a younger Tarkin and have him in on Palpatine's schemes from the very beginning
have the Clone Wars start in Episode 1 as a regional conflict that by Episode 2 has completely spiraled out of control and the Republic is on the verge of total defeat to the CIS Droid Army's overwhelming superiority in numbers
Palpatine was secretly preparing the Clone Army this entire time as the regular Republic Army/Navy was slowly being whittled away by attrition
he effectively usurps the Chancellorship and deploys the Clone Army, which finally turns the tide in the Republic's favor (while also allowing him to undermine institutions like the Jedi)
have a bunch of the Imperial and Rebel officers from the Original Trilogy like Piett, Ozzel, and Dodonna appear as junior officers fighting in the Clone Wars
have a fellow pregnancy fetishist design Padme's costumes in Episode III
make Order 66 even longer and more gruesome as the original draft intended
501st Legion wear the red armor of the clone shock troopers so it literally looks like Anakin is leading an army of demons to ransack the Jedi Temple
the initial assault on the Temple fails and they have to bring in Venator star destroyers and turn it into a pile of molten glass, showing how despite their valor, the Jedi are no match for overwhelming Imperial firepower
Padme tries to kill Anakin but is unable to bring herself to do so and gets thrown into a wall like in the original script
Obi-Wan is unable to defeat Anakin in lightsaber combat and instead has to play dirty and drop a giant vat of molten metal on him
have a professional Shakespearean playwright and screen writer review the script together and adjust the dialogue
secret X-rated version of the film featuring a sex scene with Anakin and a heavily pregnant Padme
Pay me first.
This jew did a pretty good job of unfucking the prequels.

How do you read a movie?
More Jar Jar
keep the plot. change some dialogue, reduce quips, get good takes of said dialogue. kino
Obi-Wan cannot die while Qui-Gon's effect on the other characters is defined by his death. Qui-Gon's role is established throughout the film as a wise intuiting mentor, not like the other Jedi, who would be capable of training and guiding Anakin, making the loss of him in Anakin's life a tragic turn in his development. That is his most important role.
Shoot them on actual fucking film instead of 1080p digi-slop early 2000s cameras
where's the trashcan
Also Obi-Wan spending most of his time on the ship, away from Anakin and not getting to understand him like Qui-Gon does, is part of this.
You're making some huge assumptions about Qui-gon's abilities to teach Anakin. His teaching style wouldn't have faired much better than Obi-Wan's and if you need proof of that simply look at Obi-wan as he was directly taught by Qui-Gon. Also this ignores that fact that as a prequel Anakin was predestined to fall regardless of teaching. Qui-gon's vaccuum is not as important as you think
It's almost perfect. Personally, I'd add more revealing (seethrough) oufits for teen and pregnant Hershlag and more space dogfighting sequences.
3 was great, all you have to do is somehow make 1 and 2 less like 1 and 2 and more like 3.
more podracing
But make him a girl with big badonkers. That would get me to forgive a lot of the problems with those movies. Bonus points if you change his name to something like Jar Jar Boobs.
I'm interpreting what is presented in the film, and Qui-Gon comes off as a capable Gandalf type mentor character, consistenly displaying his knowledge and wisdom. I don't take Obi-Wan being a perfectly good stable Jedi as proof that Qui-Gon is a bad teacher.
Yes, Anakin is predestined to fail as these are prequels, and they are also movies about how he got there so I expect them to show that in a believable narratively satisfying way, which by my interpretation they do and which I'm happy with. The alternate Obi-Wan version doesn't sound better to me.
Also I think the vacuum of Qui-Gon as a father figure leading him to turn to Sheev is another important point.
This jew did a pretty good job of unfucking the prequels.
No
I'm so fucking tired of these 3 movies being constantly discussed on this board
Dude Qui-gon new how attached Anakin was to his mother and didn't even make an attempt to go back for her or even tell Anakin that planned on doing do.
Ignoring that he dies at the end of The Phantom Menace and we can only infer what he planned to do with regards to Anakin's mother, Qui-Gon as a Jedi and with personal knowledge of Anakin's attachment to his mother would likely have tried to teach him to let go of that attachment rather than ignore or encourage it.
Because Qui Gon is the one with the stronger mystical connection to the force who teaches this to Obi Wan and Yoda who were both just as blind and arrogant as the rest of the jedi. He’s actually a super important character but the movies don’t make a great job of illustrating that point. Probably the biggest win the Sith had over the Jedi was Maul killing Qui Gon, that pretty much guaranteed their victory in the future.
but the movies don’t make a great job of illustrating that point.
More of a reason to remove him or put his qualities in another character that didn't die
Yeah and I'm sure it would have went about as well as it did with Obi-wan. Not to mention he most likely would have joined Dooku by Attack of the Clones bringing Anakin to the emperor anyways.
recast padme with a bigger booba jewess like kat dennings and I'm on board
Get rid of episode 1 entirely and fit another movie between 2 and 3
I agree with this anon. For me he disproportionately takes over the movie with Obi-wan having nothing to do until the end and being bland as hell. I think qui could have still been in the movie but he should have had a similar role to obi wan in a new hope, moreso as a gentle wise wizard pointing Obi wan in the right direction. Obi wan is younger and less experienced so it makes sense he would be more captivated to train Anakin due to his potential
Darth Maul survives until movie 3. He is a main threat for the most part. There is a showdown with anakin and obi-wan. After he is defeated, anakin and obi-wan fight each other.
The prequels would need moments that encapsulate this reminiscing.
Fix what? Star Wars ended in 1983.
Qui-Gon is the ideal Jedi, what they're supposed to be in Lucas' eyes. Obi-Wan and Yoda are blinded by dogma and doctrine, the same as the rest of the order.
t. Dave Filoni
If Qui-Gon mentored Obi-Won, wouldn't the latter turn out the same way?
Darth Maul is the star and dies near the end of Episode III. He has no lines, he's just fighting niggas.
Three straight movies of Obi-Wan as the main character is difficult to keep fresh. Easier to keep him in the background for movie one and then bring him to the forefront.
Oh damn good thing the original trilogy didn't have Luke as the main character for all three films....
Update all the CGI and use the originally captured blue-screen footage to recomposite the actors back into the CGI and miniature plate photography to get rid of the hazing and awkward perspective in some shots.
Have Hayden Christensen record a scream to blend in with Jones' "No" at the end of ROTS, and have Ewan McGregor do a different take of just the "killing younglings" line read.
Have Jango survive AOTC (this is just my selfish desire because Jango fucking rules)
There all the, all the problems from the Prequels are fixed.
