I get it, but at the same time it is kinda overrated
I get it, but at the same time it is kinda overrated
the original? Yeah
Underrated* I meant. Shit
people that says its better thsn the original are gay but its pretty good still
~65% of it is kino
Blade Runner 2049? More like Kino Runner 2049
overrated
There's that word again.
Please explain to the class why you think this is a valid criticism of anything?
I get it
I sure as shit didn't. This movie sucked and has absolutely no soul. The original was mesmerizing, this was a snoozefest.
I get it
i don't, i have sex with women (female)
Blade Runner 2049? More like Blade Kinoer 2049
I dunno. Guess it didn't entirely live up to my expectations.
It's still pretty good though
You'll never understand. You aren't one of the chosen few this kino was made for.
Ridley used up his last bit of talent on this one. It ran out a bit early, but he got a decent movie out. After that, the gas tank is totally empty.
Ridley didn't direct it. Denis Villeneuve did— and Ridley apparently doesn't like this movie, because had he directed it, he would have gone full "OMGZ MUH DECKARD REPLICANT" and shit
Real Girls? Disgusting. JOI is superior in every way.
Please explain to the class
Overreddit
Ridley must have been so pissed about that kek
you went into it already thinking it was overrated and ready to call it bad, so "I get it" is high praise
Sure, but thats not a flaw of the movie or the filmmaker. Thats a marketing issue which are decisions usually not made by the people in charge of creative decisions.
Unrealistic expectations will ruin more movies than actual bad film making.
the original, but worse in every way
has to rely on old music for the important part because the new music sucks
One of the best movies ever made, I doubt any new movie will surpass it in my lifetime
It was fine. The part with the dream maker was annoying because he already confirmed his dream was real and he clearly should've been asking if it was really his rather than re-confirming something he already knew.
Didn't care for Leto's character. Feels like the original was about analyzing what it meant to be human/alive, whereas this one is more about analyzing what it meant to be a replicant and different. Not great, not terrible. Just fine.
Villeneuve's style is a bit too clean.
Every part with the dream maker was horrible. She was the worst part of the movie. Even worse than grumpy Harrison in his "grey walmart tshirt just rolling out of bed" wardrobe
This movie made me realize that I hate women
I recently read a youtube comment that they had a 4 hour cut and the idea emerged to release it into two movies. But Villeneuve said no. It sounds a bit farfetched, but I do feel like the last of the movie was a bit rushed in terms of introducing new elements. Leto looked like a retard. And the ending was a bit weird. I suppose it's plausible.
This movie made me realize that I love Luv
The movie doesnt have enough meat to cover its own runtime.
A longer movie doesn't mean its better, and none of the themes are so complex that you couldn't fit it into the runtime.
I don't really mind if it were longer. I want more interesting cyberpunk media and if this is the only way to get it, then so be it. Give me four hours of Gosling wandering around the dark neon city looking at things and weird people.
I loved the meandering pace of it. Images in combinates with the soundtrack, the pacing. The last quarter of the movie was a bit too shallow, imho. I didn't care for the new persons being introduced.
There's nothing to get and it's shit.
Hunter Schafer is cast in Amazon's "Blade Runner 2099" TV series, co-starring with Michelle Yeoh. The show is a sequel to the original "Blade Runner" film and "Blade Runner 2049". Schafer will play Cora, a character who lives on the run and adopts numerous identities. Yeoh plays Olwen, a replicant near the end of her life.
it's over
tranny in a cyberpunk setting
This is the one case where I think trannies make sense, even though I guarantee it'll still be shit given nu-Yeoh is in it and she's a red flag.
Real or fake?
Schafer will play Cora, a character who lives on the run and adopts numerous identities
it's written by a white womyn btw. she was involved with the Halo show
this + nu-Yeoh
Fucking garbage
this will surely help our franchise
failed son, loser male, wannabe tranny, tranny with bolt ons etc.
but maybe hunter is pushing to play a woman, I remember somebody spamming that here, that hunter doesn't want to play tranny roles anymore and wants roles as a biological woman in the movie/tv show whatever.
You think Villeneuve was aware of 'JOI' being an acronym for 'Jerk Off Instruction'?
He already did that at least in the Jorgos film.
ana de armas knew and there are lot of recordings where she did that, villeneuve saved all that footage for himself unfortunately, according to the blu-ray director commentary
I don't have a problem with a long movie per sey, but I do like it to feel justified (to me).
You can't go wrong with Deakins photography, but so much of it doesn't drive anything forward and it feels a little self indulgent.
Which isn't to say i want breakneck pacing where you run from plot point to setpiece as fast as you can. Its not like original is really that kinetic either.
I just think that on a gradient of movies too fast paced for their own good, and too slow for their own good, i definitely think this is towards the too slow end.
Also at this point I have to admit to myself that I just hate hans zimmer scores, and I rate the original vangellis sound track very highly, so it was never going to satisfy me there.
I like the movie though, don't get me wrong, im not shitting on it, and it looked fucking great on the big screen. Its just got some problems that keep me personally from liking it more.
per sey
it's puhr seigh, not per sey, idiot. you probably misspellt it on accident, its fine.
Is there a fan cut without nudity and without jared leto?
No, because no fan would ask for such a thing.
This movie SUCKED!
Now let make a proper sequel to BR please.
Zimmer went to shit when he started to work together with Nolan. Or is that wrong ;-).
fan cut without the retard ford in it, please?
Oh this is REALLY gonna suck now.
why is she transforming into julia roberts?
Went to Shit? He was always shit maybe when he was working with composers where he did BackDraft his music was good.
One of the few movies I fell asleep in AND walked out of when I woke up.
Cause you are fucking high.
Felt unnecessary, but it was alright. It was basically just Drive but the car flies.
I just hate synth horns so much.
hates the interstellar soundtrack
you're literally a soulless ghoul
True Romance. Pirates of The Caribbean. Zimmer can do fun.
Sorry chief. they're all the same. He was even sued by the company that he was working for as he was taking credit for other peoples work.
I watched Blade Runner Black Lotus. It started out ok, but got repetitive really fast. A lot of filler and turning the Blade Runners into super hero ninja assassins rather than skilled detectives. 4/10
I for the longest time was led to believe that Blade Runner and picrel were part of the same franchise and was incredibly confused when I finally watched it
I want to see The Blazed Runner
I got tricked into watching this and it was so fucking boring. It felt like a 6 hour long movie
It's the best-looking sci fi movie I've watched in a long while.
but the plot and characters suck
Go read a book. Film is a visual medium and BR2049 is a homerun.
wat lol
dude bright colors!
Blade Runner 2049
bright colors
49 has not a single witty line of dialogue
he had a seizure
kinda overrated
No ‘kinda’ about it. It was uninspired, clichéd rubbish. But lots of people didn't notice that because Ryan is charismatic and Ana is cute.
im unironically so looking forward to this
i agree
a fan would ask for this
not as soulless as the interstellar soundtrack
No
