Ok THIS was kino
Ok THIS was kino
I like the bomb maker kid. I felt the Bix ending was weak though.
Garbage show that feels NOTHING like Star Wars, but more like some terrible Rebel Moon tier rip-off slop
show that feels NOTHING like Star Wars
That's a good thing
There were no lightsabers, no cameos and no glup shitto. I got so upset, I couldn't even clap.
Boring and dull. Star Wars? Where are the lightsabers? Where are the Jedi? Where are the aliens?
I felt more like I was watching an episode of Law & Order than a sci-fi show about plucky rebels overthrowing an evil empire.
Is it too much to ask for at least 1 interesting character?
have you tried turning on your brain
Not as good as the first season. I really dislike the long time skips between arcs. And the climax of each doesn't hit as high as any of the season 1 climaxes.
Andor and Bix's relationship is terrible and shouldn't exist. They're really boring to watch and now that means he had a long term girlfriend right before he has the romantic tension with Jyn in Rogue One. She should have just been a platonic friend. Justice for good guy Tim.
Syril and Deedra are pretty good though. They are a highlight of season 2. I don't get why he was against the ghorman plan at the end though. He was well aware of the plan to let them incriminate themselves. What'd he think was gonna happen?
No aliens is a dealbreaker
My biggest issue with the time skips is that they have to spend the first episode explaining what happened in the past year and set up the next two episodes. Really kills the flow, and I feel like there could have been implied time skips to smooth things over.
Total Ghorman Death.
waiting for the entire show to release to watch it
nonstop news articles and tweets fellating this as some anti-trump/pro palestine epic analogy
interest killed.
Antifa slop for trannies who think Star Wars is not le deep enough.
What if Starslop...but rape?
Kek
Baby Yoda is in The Mandalorian
You can watch it while eating you happy meal, kiddo
Wheat is essential for evil fascist space empires you know
I don't get why he was against the ghorman plan at the end though. He was well aware of the plan to let them incriminate themselves. What'd he think was gonna happen?
He thought they were going to catch the outside agitators and arrest the Ghorman Front, not use it as an excuse to destroy the entire planet.
If that’s actually the last we see of bix it’s a huge letdown after the end of ep6. She either needed to join saw and die as some rebel jihadi or keep the same ending after never getting out of her drug funk
Finally a mature Star Wars show for us mature Star Wars fans (Empire Strikes Back and A New Hope only)
*sips scotch while leaning back in my leather recliner*
Yep, Disney sure knows how to make 'em.
Literally nothing noteworthy happens in this show.
Finally a mature Star Wars show for us mature Star Wars fans (Empire Strikes Back and A New Hope only)
*sips scotch while leaning back in my leather recliner*
this but unironically
This guy would never be able to make something as kino as Andor despite wanting to do le R rated Star Wars shit that ended up flopping terribly
Boring and dull. Star Wars? Where are the lightsabers? Where are the Jedi? Where are the aliens?
The noteworthy thing is that it didn't put me to sleep like the sequel trilogy or Obi Wan did.
This but unironically.
luthian is a force user, a jedi who left the order
sorry to spoil but andor shoots him in the head
This but unironically
Ok THIS was kino
sit tight kid dont get cocky.
it ain't over yet. look out!
3 episodes of 1 gay wedding
3 episodes of retards fighting each other
3 episodes of bitches babbling
"kino"
Hahahahaha
yeah the ugly brown dwarf fucking every white woman he met really sold him to me personally
who are you?
arent there still 3 more eps?
oh shit this came out? i'm gonna have to re subsribe to yidsney so i can watch it in bed damn.
Mon's speech was weak
It's called Andor not the Speech Olympics. Expecting every speech to be the all time greatest and top the previous speech is kind of cringe as a concept. Just experience them as a viewer as they are in the context of the show and move on. If one happens to be super GOAT that's a bonus.
he pays for Disney+
That line was probably the most viscous own in all of Star Wars.
It's the most important speech in the franchise.
Also I don't like that there were already rebels amassing on yavin. Kinda defeats the point if they were getting together before she did it.
Why are they trying to make me feel so sad for the bad guys?
I will give you the 3 episodes of retards fighting each other. But not the rest were kino.
this but unironically
Well it sure would've been nice for Saw and his fucking REBELS to catch wind of this and do something about it. Saw's rebel cell are cowards, LOST even
It's a TV show, calibrate your enthusiasm...but it is kino.
Well that was a nice nap
no actual war fighting
just endless talking
They took the most boring approach possible to gritty Star Wars
I'm putting together a rebellion against the empire
"YYYEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH"
Is that Stormtroopers in a field? Why aren't they Wheattroopers or Graintroopers?
It was about her calling out the Emperor in public by name. Not how try hard kino the speech was. I stand by the fact that if the show tried to top Luthen's completely spontaneous off the cuff in the moment speech with some kind of f telegraphed s ok speech Olympics tier moment it would have turned the entire concept into a meme and even retroactively tainted Luthen's speech because the whole thing would have be a meme. It would have veered way too close to cringe territory so it's best they didn't try to over do it. They made it about the significance of the speech. Not the Speech itself. Which was smart.
you must be part of a different algorithm. what part of the internet do you frequent? i'm a fan of the show and have never run into a single article like that.
It should have been the other way around, given that mothmas speech is actually preplanned and she is a veteran politician, who was preparing to give this speech all day, and had given speeches before. But some random assholes came up with better speeches on the spot apparently.
The force is portrayed in Andor closer to how it was in the Empire Strikes Back, as something that is mysterious intangible and connected to all living things, and is not exclusive to Jedi.
So it's more true to the spirit of Star Wars than the prequels and sequels that portrayed the force as midichlorian Jedi-exclusive superpower telekinesis and lightning and super-jumping.
Andor is a political thriller. It's a completely different genre. Which is kino as a concept. Different genres executed tmwith top level expert precision in the Star Wars setting.
Reminder that Mon Mothma is the one who made the New Republic not finish off the Empire for good, that dismantled the New Republic's military and allowed the First Order to rise up and destroy the Republic.
Anon if you can use the Force you are a Jedi.
it's an everyone cries or dies episode
Pottery
This. Andor has LITERAL plot armour. It's now established the Journal of the Whills is a metatextual device. The opening crawls aren't just for 'us', they're part of the Journal.
It's pre-ordained that Andor will undergo the events of Rogue One. That's why, say, a blaster shot misses him. THIS is the Force; not levitating rocks or firing lightning.
Sounds a little too close to predestination Calvinism for my comfort
I'm sure that sounded smart in your head.
They would have to be, you can't just spring up a base in minutes, that kind of operation takes years to build.
The Force is an energy field that covers the entire galaxy and some people posses the ability to interact with it.
It's not hard to understand.
political thriller
written by soilennial npcs who understand nothing about politics, war or science fiction
bravo disney
Millennials will never not try to make a big, pretentious deal out of action blockbusters.
hahaha fucking idiots
Maybe Luthen is just an agent of chaos
It also controls their actions. Partially.
I rather watch the sequel trilogy than this boring, uneventful crap.
"forgets" the wig/doublespeak/accent
Like a serial killer taunting the cops.
It's the most important speech in the franchise.
Wrong. Luthen's monologue is the most important speech in the franchise. Mon Mothma's speech is one of the most important -moments- in the franchise. The speech itself could simply be filled with a placeholder where she talks about kamino seafood recepies and Mustafar summer fashion and how the Emperor is a closet faggot that can't cook or know fashion but should because a fag.
No, it's a show written for the modern american "idealist" that talks big but does jack shit.
You know, the "THIS STATEMENT IS SO POWERFUL, THIS IS WHAT WE, AS A SOCIETY, NEED RIGHT NOW" types.
Tony Gilroy has been making political thrillers since before you were a fish in your daddy's balls.
It's the most important speech in the franchise.
Just what I said here Right, in a Civil War the most important thing is POWERFUL WORDS from an incompetent politician, not the actions of the soldiers who actually won the war.
It's decent, far from perfect. Better than most slop wars related releases, both old and new.
Finally, my dark and gritty star wars series. thank god they added rape, now all they need is the nword
How would dying for the rebellion inspire Cass to do the same?
This show could work even if it wasn't Star Wars. I'm actually glad they chopped it to just two season to maybe inspire people to make pretty good TV shows again. If this show was about the state of Texas being taken over by the US government and a rebellion forming it could still work just fine
all of the redditors replying to this
tells me all I need to know about this slop
Can you imagine the absolute banger of a rave party Mothma had after the second Death Star got blown up?
We already saw in season 1 how Mon gives impassioned speeches all the time, and the other senators will just ignore her or step away. Like the other anon said, the most important thing with it was naming the Sith.
shit is good because this guy has been making shit for a long time
yawn
Shill as much you like, i'm never gonna watch disney wars trash
The themes in Andor's version of Star Wars are evergreen just like the themes in G.L.'s version of Star Wars. Which is exactly why to some Andor's theme's seem to be so on the nose with current events even though they were written way before. The themes in Andor are completely different from Hollywood s usual done to death ran into the ground obsession with current era social politics and themes which seem dated and played out five minutes after they are created.
Yeah that's usually how talent works retard.
They noticed people merging the S1 themes and decided to make all of them so they'd sound like loud screeching if they tried it again kek
That doesn't change the fact that this is clearly written by politician worshippers who think talking on the internet counts as activism, the kind that scream and panic at the mere idea of war.
3 episodes of a gay wedding = talent
can't even write an entertaining heist scene = talent
inane prattling = talent
Sure thing reddit
false
Well it was fucking stupid. She should have come out and said “I support Donald Trump” and then heiled Hitler for the remaining run time of the show.
Sobis that old lady who told Anakin in TPM menace a Jedi? Intuition and a connection is one thing, being able to use the force to do fucking backflips and shoot lightning is another
They could have revealed Jar Jar as part of the rebellion, have him in the show. It could work idk
At this point in the timeline Jar Jar is literally dancing around and acting like an idiot for pennies on Naboo as a street performer
Yes. All those tricks are a product of having a stronger connection with the Force, but all Force wielders are Jedi by definition.
Serious question. What even IS Star Wars at this point? Shamelessly inserting more and more storylines into a conflict that was resolved in the 80s?
Nostalgia pandering after their poor attempt to make something new failed catastrophically.
npcs
What's first order?
he works best adapting already made great stories like 300 and watchmen, man of steel was an exception because of nolan
There is no civil war, both sides are slaves owned by different shade of jews
Kathlyn Kennedy must be very talented then shill
No, you don’t understand. This time my Disney space show is dark and gritty and says Trump bad so that means it’s fresh and for adults like me.
Honestly, the more shows come out the less sense the state of affairs during the sequel trilogy makes.
Neomarxist propaganda, subversion and demoralization plus tax (tickets) on the most zealous adherence of the religion
probably some fan fiction nonsense. safely ignored forever.
no it isn't
grow up
yes it is
grow up
