Grow up
Looks like someone doesn't have the balls to indiscriminately kill allies when the mission requires it
listens to speech, stares at his pistol thoughtfully
gets yelled at to stay where he is
disobeys them and goes to find Mon
Anon, you might have the 'tism
The blaster is the one he took off the corporate security he killed in the first episode
Dude is a fed plant
He just wanted to take the credit
She was such an hero, to take it all away. We miss her so, That you should know, And we honor her this day. She was an hero, to take that shot, to leave us all behind. God do we wish we could take it back, And now she’s on our minds. Pajeeta was an hero, to leave us feeling like this, Our minds are rubber, our joints don't work, Our tears fall into abyss. She was an hero, to take that shot, In life it wasn't her task, She shouldn't have had to go that way, before an decade'd past. Now she sits there in my heart, this hero of mine, Always there to make me smile, Make me feel just fine. She had courage, that poo did, courage in her heart. To take that shot, To end her pain, To tear us all apart. But in the end, she died in courage. Lacking, nevermore, She died a hero, Pajeeta did, And we'll love her forevermore.
Is Kleya just Leia pulling a fast one?
Waiting on new eccentric droid edition
She vaguely looks like Carrie but that as a twist would be mocked forever
She looks like my wife
fuck I hate being an incel
...
It may have not even been clear to him that they were trying to grab her, since they didn't tell him anything for some reason
rogue one
gets one-shotted by stronk woman
andor
impervious to getting shot, needed truck-kun to kill it
ok
mfw andor ends next week and there is probably no good star wars for the foreseeable future
Don't cry that it's over, smile that it happened.
We've lived through that before
Who was this random Jedi at the Yavin base practicing with dual lightdaggers?
I agreed to watch this show with some friends and I'm 80% certain I'm gonna cave and watch this week's and next week's on my own and then pretend to watch it with them later
That was Gloop Tampon, a former Jedi padawan with incomplete training.
Same shit happens in video games
Other team has the big gun oh shit it's so OP
I pick up the super weapon, fuck it's useless
Planka Jinguash, a student of Frink Bungo the legendary dual saber wielder Jedi Master
Dedra never got to take Syril on a holiday in Maltheen
Bros...
Luthen isn't a Jedi.
The reveal is going to be he really was a flamboyant antique salesman, but when his gay Jedi lover died in Order 66 he dedicated his life to revenge.
What Andor gets right about the Rebellion is that you aren't some plucky hero thats going to get your name in the history books you're likely some regular joe who ends up canon fodder for the empire never to see a better tomorrow. I find that oddly comforting
Bix's goodbye to Cassian really hurt bros...
Realistically, what are the odds of Jyn making an appearance in the final episodes?
Unless you're like George Washington or some other revolutionaries who definitely DO get their names in history books because their revolutions were successful and they said "Don't forget to include me in the history books!" As they cackle on their thrones of skulls. Later on what they revolutioned for becomes an evil empire that gets revolutioned again and eventually George Washington is labelled a bad guy. You can't win. As the wise Homer Simpson once said: Never try.
Extremely low
Felicity Jones had a baby and doesn't really work anymore so I kind of doubt it
sir, colonel Yularen is on line 3
what would you do in his situation bros?
Go take a shit
its Finn from the force awakens before he switched sides to the stormtroopers and then back to the rebellion again

Even the latina milkers liked it

HOLY SEXOOO
They're in a docking bay, there's a force field
Uh, everything's under control. Situation normal. Uh, we had a slight weapons malfunction, but, uh... everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine, we're all fine here now, thank you. How are you?
what would you do in his situation
SHUT IT DOWN!
Feeding the algorithm
Anyone else find Mon's speech kind of underwhelming?
Seems like the only people who would care are people who are already rebels. An average citizen seeing a senator go
Um the emperor is lying and genocided people
Would come across just as some crazy bitch
I definitely thought she was going to give her speech in front of the emperor right after he spoke since he normally has the last word and her undercutting him would add more weight but yeah I kinda hoped it would of had more stakes too it
I was expecting her to show some proof, instead of just saying that the Empire is lying.
Considering its open knowledge Tarkin bodied 500 people landing a cruiser on them its really not that big of a stretch what she was saying to the average citizen.
Why is she so hot? Seems like she got the highest costumes budget after Mothma.
The DALL-E 3 client is non-learning
I find it infuriating she's basically the perfect facial type for a Leia recast and they actively chose not to use her. Fine by me I guess I'd rather they stay away from the original story
How did Krennic rise through the Imperial ranks so quickly to basically have the ear of the emperor and his most top secret project? I was hoping this season we would see Krennic operating in the shadows more but sadly he's been little more than window dressing.
Believing the AI techbros
Isn't he a scientist and a leader, making him a little more uniquely qualified to oversee the secret projects which center more on R&D than anything else
Considering she doesn't really meet the Rebellion until the events of rogue one it would be pointless. Her father making an appearance would make more sense.
nepotism probably
Melshibros we are so back
Why did we have to waste 3 episodes on a wedding, bunch of morons in the jungle and rape planet? Maybe they could have spent those episodes making a better story for K2SO origins.
You are supposed to read this shit, I believe.
Doubt it. The Emperor doesn't suffer fools. All the higher ranking Imperials that had the Emperors ear were highly competent. Tarkin, Thrawn, Vader, Krennic and Yularen. What gets me is at least 3 of those were veterans of the clone wars and we know Thrawn is from Chiss so Krennic is the only outlier. He would of had to have been an important scientist in the republic to warrent Sheev keeping him on.
So, where the hell are the AT-STs? I understand stormtroopers being featured sparingly, as army troopers were the common soldiers of the Empire, but aren't AT-STs pretty ubiquitous? And aren't they used by the Imperial Army? Did RLM bully Disney into being too embarassed to use AT-STs now? It'd be like if they randomly stopped featuring TIE fighters.
Yeah those first 3 episodes were painfully weak. I didn't mind the wedding but speaking of what the fuck happened to Perrin?
New Glup Shitto dropt
AL1-L3: A mercenary and droid rights activist, Allie, as she has been dubbed, was once a slave of Kessel, freed in the revolt of 10 BBY. Since then she has drifted between the core and the outer rim in search of work or those in need of help. She holds no love for any government
Expecting the audience to read media outside the film to understand finer details and plot points.
I find this shit really infuriating even if you get a better answer than what you would of in film sometimes a simple exposition is fine if it isn't immersion breaking in the scene.
Sorry, but I'll need Obi-Wan to tell me about this good friend of his.
They do it on purpose, btw. To sell all this merchandise crap: books and comics, banking on FOMO. That's fucking franchising for you.
So far no reason for the empire to roll out heavy war machinery in any of the scenes. Doing so would be too heavy handed for the imperials. They definitely wouldn't of wanted to bring those in for Ghorman because the idea was to make the Empire look like a bunch of peacekeepers and walking tanks don't really scream peacekeeper.
Tarkin
Vader
Thrawn
competent
Given the time gaps present in Rogue One it would have been possible
Technically the opening with Krennic takes place before Andor
0%
Will Are Guy get burned for revealing the ISB spy on Bail Organa's team?
Luthen is Revan
What was the deal with the pointless Vel scene in episode 9?
If Skeleton Crew is an indication then it's that they aren't afraid to tell a good story in the Star Wars universe without relying on nostalgia bait or "Star Wars must be like this" tism. Skeleton Crew is of course not anywhere near close to Andor but it's a good show. People would love it more if it werent for the shit show that is the rest of Disney Wars
he didn't recognize Melshi
A teaser maybe. I mean there is no way that Andor got all this buzz and they didn't talk to her right?
Do you think they were happy during those 3 years?
hours streamed plus 6 minutes long credits
Albert Einstein will appear in the final episode teaser
There is a whole movie that explains this that you might enjoy!
The reason being that he was retarded.
who?
Same, I thought there would be more to it
Peak Glup Shitto moment
This is a good book.
At least the first three chapters are.
I know man, reading is hard. Somehow when I was 10 I read all hundred pages of TPM before it even hit theaters but now... well I gotta find the book again.
Skeleton Crew was shit. Sorry. I don't give a fuck about shallow, cynical, bland 80's nostalgia for manchildren. Jude Law was cool, but that's about it. I don't remember a thing about it.
Fortunately books are free at the library and pretty much free at the flea market, which is where all Star Wars merchandise is destined to go eventually.
manchildren
They made it for people like me who have real children who aren't interested in SW outside of Fortnite.
Sheev doesn't need the Ghormans to cooperate. There's 800K people on the entire planet, and the senate backs him whatever he does to Ghorman as we saw with the Mothma scenes. So kill them even though they would just die with the planet anyway all so that the rest of galaxy goes against you? The writers of Andor should have thought of something better to get the galaxy to rise up.
He would of had to have been an important scientist in the republic to warrent Sheev keeping him on.
Oh now I remember what the book said.
He was smart but he was like Oppenheimer, he would hang around smarter people and figure out how to manipulate them.
Namely Galen.
I'm just glad the Rakata were name dropped this season. As far as I'm concerned, KOTOR is the only logical direction to go now.
no one disputes batman is primarily made for and enjoyed by children. but imagine if there was a Batman Theory crying man on the internet who walked out of the dark knight because “the joker never kills black people, he’s evil but he’s not racist. member when irs comic panel and the nazi lololol.” batman is older and possibly more revered than the star war, but there does not exist some schism of cultural civil war in batmen. and it validates my belief that the star war is too beholden to itself, far too insisting on itself, consumers and fans all… or perhaps too addicted to offense in zeitgeist outrage.
When I saw that scene I first thought that the ISB was going full glowie false flag. That they'd orchestrate that the Ghor storm the admin building, and the droids were there to make sure that there were plenty civilian casualties among the unarmed Imperial workers.
For the people that didn't like rogue one, does andor makes the movie better for you?
I don't know. I've only seen it once and I hated it
I hated the first two thirds of rogue one, but enjoyed the last third mainly for the actual ship combat. But I do like Andor. It's really the only live action star wars show that's paced well and I got to admit I smiled when the ghorman bell hop said "rebellions are built on hope". That was such a subtle George like pottery that someone like Filoni could never do.
mandalorian ended on season 2 for me
don't give a shit about the orange jedi bitch
rey movie or any sequel era movie (LMAO)
Once Andor ends star wars is over for me
No. I rewatched it recently and there is way too many one liners and jokes. The pacing seems off and the near immediate acceptance of following Jyn was unbelievable.
All this Yavin focus got me irrationally hoping for a Wedge appearance with a recast actor, but then I remembered the nucanon made him a limp dicked cuck and retconed all of stackpoles books.
Nah. The movie has structural problems you can’t undo and the central story isn’t as interesting as they think. Perhaps it could have been done better in longform like Andor itself? Developing the father, his betrayal, cementing the relationship with the daughter (genuinely can’t remember her name). Getting us invested in the misfit team. All better in a serial format.
But then Andor is still the least interesting character in the show bearing his name. They’ve done more with Mothma and Luthen as far as depicting the rebellion, costs and motivations.
Andor was never really on board as the latest episode establishes and his big motivation is the girlfriend ditching him? That’s frankly embarrassing.
It makes rogue one worse.
Jyn Erso is their in but luthen and saw know each other through mr bombastic.
Saw stands there waiting to die.
Andor says fuck these bureaucrats and helps jyn like he's new at being conflicted.
The rebels just stand around doing nothing after getting to yavin with no intelligence (if that pilot didn't defect they would have been fucked harder than mon mothma at a rhydonium processing station on jedha). The stakes for rogue one are not actually established by andor because none of them have agency.
I always like Rogue One because it was exactly the sort of "no Jedi" war movie I always wanted.
I would love a 12 episode season format for rogue one where the first 3 episodes focus heavily on Saw and Jyn during her early years as a guerilla fighter. Frankly, just keep paying Whitaker to go on screen and be crazy space gas huffing terrorist man. It's pure kino.
You'll be back for Ryan Gosling
It's only sw the movie I'll consider giving a try in a theather
That's an entertaining hypothesis. All we can do is wait and see.
literally who are you
I always thought it was butchered during editing. Watch the trailer for Rogue One. It makes more sense than the whole movie and has the right feel that they lost during editing. A shame, really, considering all the slop we got.
it's literally me
so disappointed with how syril reacted and died
he and deadra were supposed to go home and live happily ever after
sequel era
No
They re-did a bunch of shit. Saw was originally supposed to go with the crew and not die on Jedha. There were entirely different battle scenes filmed on Scarif. The re-shoots were massive. The post production editing gutted the movie. This was around the same time that the original Solo directors got sacked too. The fact that Andor has come out in this amazing state in unironically shocking considering Disney's track record of interference.
Andor is among the most greatest things my eyes hath ever lain and I was bored during most of rogue one. it is not a compelling film and I always felt the effort toward a father daughter dynamic thus sTaR wArS vIbEs was sand in the plot of stealing from the empire
Andor isn't nu anything
So the Star Wars kino list is basically:
Empire Strikes Back
Andor
Revenge of the Sith
Genndywars
Mando season 1 and 2
Anything missing?
no anh
thrawn trilogy
rogue/wraith squadron
You're missing the point. Everyone already knew the empire was lying. It's just that everyone was afraid to call them out.
You know who I am.
I am your worst nightmare. I am a security officer of Morlana 1. I am the son of Edie Karn. You've lost Andor!
General Hux is Syril's son
I liked when Andor just blew away the driver who'd been turned by the speech, lol
Same girl
Mando is pleb shit for people that confuse plot with vidya quests.
I will be courageous and brave and say the lightsaber episode of the acolyte. there’s one shot where squid game guy force pulls a lightsaber into his hand and in all lazer sword cinematography and choreography, that singular plate is the actual best
seething israelis
that show is treated unfairly
Was he turned?
You are both sniveling faggots. That is all.
It is because of the shitty MC and retarded plot. But Squid Game Guy and the villain are actually Kino.
Too bad they weren't put into a show with more substance
The end of episode 8 made me tear up with the help broadcast. It's the emotion that George Lucas probably wanted to evoke with this scene
I would start peeing
I think it was good.
Concise and getting to the heart of the matter, people just accepting lies and ignoring truths.
She can't prove anything in a speech, she can just tug on what they all already know deep down.
another three episodes without my boy
he's gonna show up in the last three, r-r-r-right?
OT
Andor
That's it.
ANH+ROTJ>power gap>ROTS
I will be courageous and brave and say the lightsaber episode of the acolyte.
Alright I'll add Acolyte to my watchlist due to your bravery.
be all over season 1
literally the droid of Andor's mom
dropped off unceremoniously on some farm planet
Wtf Gilroy?!
This, and even ROTJ is 50% shit
get some deathsticks
10 years from now
some random SW movie or show that takes place after ROTJ
on minirau
see a torn apart B2EMO in the background
kek
I need muh Jyn
Who's the cutest star wars companion?
r2d2
ball r2d2 from episode 7
baby Yoda
that droid from the ea sw games
that creature from the ubisoft game
B2EMO
just watch the lightsaber episode. rest of the show is cw trash and honestly feels like the entire production hinges around the lightsaber episode anyway
k2
so disappointed with how syril reacted
It was one of the kino moments in this show
Everything is breaking down for him and he almost sees things for what they are just to see Andor the last moment and then he just goes full cope. Extremely fitting end for him it was only jarring how he died.
Watch episode 4 first and skip episode 7 or skip both flashback episodes
the force isn't very kind to andor huh
I think BB-8 is the cutest, even though he's from the sequels.
So its basically confirmed Cassian is force sensitive?
The force is all around us
I love being penetrated by the force
I love creating energy fields. midichlorine.
B23mo is the most useless one that's for sure, no wonder they left his ass on rape planet
No, but the force moves strongly around him
My nigga BD Wong, I really like the design
Hi anons!
Is that the same one from the vidya game?
yularen doesn’t speak with the clone wars narrator voice
Shame
Perrin’s going to narkina 5. Leida will speak out against her mother and potential be fine. Sculdun is getting executed.
RotS is a total turd and always has been.
Based and SWpilled.
I don’t know. She kind of revealed she was an ISB operative immediately. Didn’t tell anyone who her team mates were either or that she killed one of them. 3 rebels went in, one disappeared. One saved mothma. Nobodies the wiser.
I literally didn't pay attention to any of it except the "truth is important guise" part because the show itself didn't seem overly concerned with it. Whole thing was drowned out by the music and 70% of it was just her intro. I can't stand the fucking blaring music this season.
Was he turned?
When they show him during her speech he's got like a look of realization on his face, and he breaks orders from his superior to go up to look for her, not taking the gun he'd had at the ready with him
Bix should have gone into the forest and stuck a gun in her mouth.
It was so hamfisted I literally thought she was going to an hero
I still believe that Bix is gonna died somewhere in the final episodes
she has to otherwise it feels weird to have cassian and jyn get buddy buddy before they die
Bix left :(
Did I miss something from season 1 or did bix believing in the force that strongly came out of nowhere?
what's wrong with what bunny and cassian did? they were literally about to die who cares nigga
Got herself a nice safe posting operating a rebel comms waystation on Alderaan.
What was his problem?
what prayers and hopes does for a motherfucker
He wanted all the kalkite for himself. It was GREED pure and simple.
Gone too soon
He's crying about Syril
She's an ex druggie with emotional trauma Those people are usually vulnerable to religions and cults promise of a born again new start. I thought it fit.
S2 reminds me a lot of Rome S2, which had a similar problem. The rest of the show had to be condensed into one season. Still enjoying Andor S2 a lot though, especially this third arc. There are so many loose ends and we just have to assume that a lot of the things we've seen had a purpose and a resolution of some kind, we just didn't get to see it. I understand that five seasons as originally planned was maybe too much to ask for a show this ambitious, but maybe three could have been feasible? I would like to read the original outline/plan for the five season version of the show. Glad that we got some good television out of modern SW
Multiple seasons would've been fucking kino, but also maybe not because a few actors would be too old or recast
I totally get their thinking that it couldn't work and would end up with like a pushing 60 Diego Luna recreating the start of Rogue One if they had tried it, but I can't help but feel they over corrected just a bit.
Maybe even two sets of nine episodes would have given things a little more room to breathe.
Why does gigaslop like acolyte get the same number of seasons as andor?
I'd have been curious to see what they did with the very first arc for Cassian. Probably one or two episodes where he's infiltrating the Imperial research base with the TIE Fighter, then one episode for him stealing the TIE Fighter, and three or four episodes with the situation on Yavin with the rebels there.
The Yavin rebel infighting arc could have been prison level stuff if they had some space to let it breathe.
Yeah that sounds good. At this point we have to hope that a new series will carry on the same spirit, maybe not even with the same characters, set in another era entirely.
doesn't
Anon, I...
a fucking novel
got scared for a second
LMAO
Why didn't the Senate have cameras?
Bix remembers that they forgot B2 and will pick him up, right? RIGHT?
Damn I missed that. Fuck I might be too stupid for Andor too
Privacy of the politicians obviously, otherwise you could abuse shit like the ISB does super easily
When they show him during her speech he's got like a look of realization on his face, and he breaks orders from his superior to go up to look for her, not taking the gun he'd had at the ready with him
Wtf I totally missed that, makes perfect sense in retrospect
Was the scene where he realises super short and/or shittily acted? I literally don't remember it
She's a woman anon. Women naturally believe in astrology and homeopathy and healing crystals and shit
On a series note, I love that Andor and Rogue One bring Force Cynics back. I hate that everyone and their grandma has the force in Disney Wars
He OD'd on coke between seasons. They had to use CGI to replace him like Tarkin and Leia in Rogue One then they ran out of money
Sucks that this has to lead to Rogue One.
Somehow the acolyte returned...
It's short, it's the part of the speech when Mon is talking about the death of truth.
It's great too that the force healer is like "yeah it doesn't even always work", giving such great plausibility for disbelief.
She's no jedi, she knows of the force and has a religious attachment to it. Maybe she's sensitive enough that she could've been a jedi if found early, but maybe not.
All she can do is soothe people a bit, if she's lucky.
The entirety of Andor is really just Tony Gilroy washing his hands clean and telling people "This is how I would have actually done it. The rest is Gareth I could only do so much to fix it you know"
Yep. It's really like those chiropractors and people swearing "it totally works man! You just have to give it a try!"
If I lived in Star Wars I would be a full Force denier too
Bravery
Have you ever felt a heartbreak like this Anon Babble? Can you even imagine the pain Cassian is going through?
its nothing important but i was glad to see some twileks, i miss ot and pt aliens
Damn that's the same actor? This dude is like made to portray two emotions: Pain and Pride
Watching The Creator really showed Garath is a hack, but he is great at working with special effects on the cheap.
I still believe she should have gone and blown her brains out, not just abandon the rebellion
When will Star Wars have the balls to show full nudity Twi'leks?
I read somewhere that Gareth Edwards really just went into Rogue One shooting scenes with absolutely no plan whatsoever just doing whatever seemed cool and he was like "Disney gave me unlimited budget let's just use it before they pull the plug and we decide what the movie is later lol"
This is also why the first trailer of Rogue One is so vastly different from the final movie with scenes that aren't even in it.
Tony Gilroy really just showed up to Gareth sitting like a baby on a floor with a bunch of puzzle games thrown on the floor in front of him going like "yeah I have no idea what I'm doing lol"
He's German, of course
The funny part is Gilroy has never said a bad word about Edwards personally but he sure has made his point of view pretty clear
At-St are for scouting At-Dp (The All Terrain Defense Pod )would have been more appropriate for Ghorman killing
There is that one piece of official art...
Lmao. His way of saying "This is it guys that's what was really salvagable of it " you don't even know how bad it could have been"
Good evening, 47.
Your destination is the Outer Rim planet of Ghorman, currently under martial lockdown by the Imperial Security Bureau. Your target is Dedra Meero, a high-ranking ISB supervisor known for her brutal counter-insurgency operations and the recent orchestration of mass detainments following civil unrest.
She is presently stationed within a fortified ISB compound under the guise of a diplomatic visit. Intelligence suggests she is overseeing a classified energy program aimed at provoking rebel cells operating in the sector.
Access will be heavily restricted, and patrols are both numerous and unpredictable. However, the local resentment toward the Empire may provide opportunities for subtle manipulation.
Eliminate Supervisor Meero with discretion. The Empire must remain unaware of our involvement.
Good luck, 47.
Someone explain this meme to me
random side character is the biggest gigachad in all SW
how does he do it?
Now I'm sad we're never getting a Hitman Star Wars crossover and instead get a weird Destiny one
there's 12 episodes
Next week is episodes 10-12, it's over
So K-X Secuirty driods are ray shielded now some how?
Cassian went to Ghorman to assassinate a bitch like agent 47.
A riot got in the way
No? They're just heavily armoured so you need something more powerful than a basic ass blaster pistol or rifle.
Tony Gilroy
vgh...
Why is Adam Warlock in the corner?

Jyn Erso kills a KX-Series Security Droid, one shot kill with Basic standard E-11 blaster
Be honest, which side would you be rooting for if you lived in-universe?
the force
Does anyone have the ghors ghostly singing we hear at the start on episode 9
rebels because I'm not a glowie
The side with the terrorist drip of course
only rebels group that looks cool are the more or less actual terrorists
they have black x-wings too
What did they mean by this?
Yet he's an important enough asset to be an armed spy for a political figure. Stop and think how retarded it is that someone in that position when trying to figure out what is going on is told to shut up and stay where they are.
I think both Maarva and Bix are force sensitive
Terrorism and terrorist are just labels used to delegitamise violent anti-imperialist struggle irl. Nothing Saws group does is any worse or gets close to matching the violence of the Empire, just like irl terrorists can match the violence of states. So Andor is just reflecting that, these terrorists are nothing to be feared for the audience or fellow rebels, hence why they look so cool. They know who they are and are willing to kill their enemies, and they're fighting for (you).
unprovoked... genocide
started watching ahsoka because i got into the sw zone
that fucking whiplash after watching andor
jesus fuck
JESUS FUCK
I like the sith bitch, she's very cute
welcome to the rebellion, here is your uniform
I'd fuck off to join Saw on his quest to get high off space fuel and bombing imperials.
Considering how chaotic the late republic and the clone wars were i think early on i would be okay with the empire but by the time we get to the events of Andor i would be ready to jump ship.
I wish I could say I was a rebel but Idk if I would actually be willing to risk my life, my family and everyone I know for a greater cause I don't even know will do anything
It basically goes like this: ep 4-6 > rogue one > andor > ep 1-3 > ep7 (if you really like nostalgia)
Anything else is literally not worth watching in the Star Wars universe.
No, I will NOT watch your cartoons
Fucking Eichhorst of all people shot my boy Syril
Lucky shot
Go watch the Mon scenes in Ahsoka and die from the whiplash.
We're the Rhydo kid. We're the fuel. We're the thing that explodes when there's too much friction in the air

What planes? This is a diplomatic vessel AAKK
Did you get that medal for killing Banking Clan?
It's still funny to me that Plaguies is one of these dudes.
youtube.com
Seems the same to me.
The Galactic Post Office
I'd watch her going on weapons appraisals for Luthen
ISB
IBS
Are the Jedi just incels?
I have no idea what Luthen could have been before the rise of the Empire.
yes
probably something boring because this show hates the very thing sw is about
so I guess counter intel for the jedi order or the old republic
or maybe something to do with the empire
I think it depends 100% on where you're from and what your life is like. It's made explicitly clear that that the empire maintains a tight grip over information manipulation and that as the other anon said there are many 'good' things they do at the very beginning after the clone wars end. If my upbringing happened on a world where the empire was perceived (and acted) in a relatively lawful and 'good' way I think I'd be highly likely to join up with the empire myself. In many ways I think the empire's greatest mistake was actually the tarkin doctrine, because if the empire had just been a nice orderly galactic security force there would've been literally no reason for the average person to rebel beyond clone wars-era problems. But of course as we know the empire is run by a literal evil space wizard so it was always bound to become evil.
I think for me the most likely course of events would be joining the empire as a soldier or something but then becoming disillusioned after witnessing an atrocity or some other such imperial fuckery and joining the rebellion after that
Treasure Hunter, black market artifact dealer if there even is such a thing in Star Wars since there doesn't seem to be any laws about looting ancient sites.
Shit I thought this was the last episode. Felt like it.
Treasure Hunter, black market artifact dealer
so whats his motivation? they bombed some ancient jedi temple or someshit and it upset him?
I get the vibe he was an artifact and historian his whole life. Being a student of history, with FAR more history to study than we do today he saw the pattern of empires rising and falling over and over and over and over and over again on a galatic scale. So turned aganist the empire as soon as they declared the 'reorganisation'. The secret contacts, and knowing rogue types comes from being a black market artifact collector. The skills just transferred effortlessly into building a resistance, finding the right pieces, this time people instead of the right artifacts
Are you retarded?
yes
Seems right
I'm still reeling from episode 8. I'm waiting to watch episode 9 for now, I wanna digest it a bit because it really got me. I watched it high last night and it blew my fucking mind. I really really don't wanna come across as a basedfaced retard, I've always really disliked people who get 'emotional' about capeshit and star wars (like that retard who cried during the trailers for the sequels), but episode 8 unironically made me shed a few tears. It was a combination of
the tension building and building and building
the fact you KNOW what's coming but it just keeps building
everyone slowly realising what's about to happen one by one
even dedra having severe doubts
syril having a mental breakdown
and then just the massacre
but the buildup itself is a genuine masterclass, the combination of the drums with the soundtrack and the ghorman chanting to create this frenzied, tribal atmosphere, and seeing the imperials slowly laying their plans in place. and realising this shit happened irl. FUCK man this is CINEMA
Did anyone else watch these last 3 episodes thinking this shits clearly been made for women?
Alot of stuff didnt make any sense or explain itself.
I know disney wouldn't leave this alone and would ruin it eventually but they've managed to ruin this show
must have had connections to the jedi
jocasta nu? knowing a librarian as an antiques shop owner would be clutch
is there a republic version of the ISB? How did he make connections, like saw and rylanz? kreegyr
That is a very plausible back story for him.
Filtered
It should've been more graphic to really sell it but I guess they have to tone it down for SW.
Dumb frogposter
But how did it make you feel? Do you feel representation on screen? Do you feel good about the pretty costumes and outfits?
so I guess counter intel for the jedi order or the old republic
That would definitely be the driest, most "John le Carre" answer, so it sounds about right.
Alot of stuff didnt make any sense or explain itself.
sounds like a woman-tier complaint if you ask me.
I don't know, can the force be with you?
No it doesn't only one scene of that movie takes place before Andor. It still doesn't explain how Krennic was able to rise so quickly. As another anon pointed out he was good at manipulating other smart people.
the video shouldn't look like this. you're trying to play a hdr file with a media player that doesn't support hdr. the colours become washed out and grey
Actually the destruction of Alderran is what causes the Rebellion to start proper.
Im glad hes back.
Also I will always take more Tudyk.
What you see in Andor is already the peak of his career. How he rose so quickly? Because he got Galen Erso on his Team and successfully built the Death Star. I don't think we need much more explanation than this. He built this his career for over 20 years
I feel like, before the empire Luthen must've already been sketchy and lived a double life.
Secret jedi that start living as a big shot antique dealer? Naeh, he'd get recognized.
Smuggler+treasure hunter even before the fall, connections to jedi like Jocasta Nu would work.
Before the empire, Luthen was a sith, turned jedi in practice but not officially, which is why he was outside the order and why he hates the methods he's forced to use
Naeh just smuggler is better
This isn't even remotely true. Alderaan was destroyed because it supported the Rebels. The destruction of Alderaan is rather what would almost end the Rebellion
Filtered how? I would like to discuss it but we get alot of samefagging here now and shit that's said on purpose to advertise the show.
Please explain how after 3 people get murdered at a senate that andor and mothra left so easily.
The planet usually has star destroyers around it so how was andor able to leave so easily. Hell even mothra is able to leave later ushered in by a group from Yavin.
You then have mothra not mention once "will my family be safe? What about my husband and daughter" not 1 fuck given.
Then how did her Aid get away? An ISB officer gets shot. He stands there with a gun. Storm Troopers invade the building yet this clumsy dude got away??
Let's look for if were being tapped. Mention luthens name several times in the ISB and Senate.
I agree but I'm happy with what we got. It was fucking mental
Imagine thinking Acolyte was going to be good in the first place.
The entire point is that it's a mistake? That they got so overconfident with getting away with anything that they'd just massacre the Ghormans in full display knowing noone will do anything about it
b-b-but it had lightsabers
Andor
New Hope
ROTS
Empire
Anything else is not worth mentioning.
Because even in the Empire you can't just take a fucking senator away with Storm Troopers? They wanted to make her quietly disappear with Gail's guards without much fanfare
Never thought I'd say this but you might be too stupid for Star Wars.
I'm a big believer in hearing people's opinions out anon; but if you can watch episode 8 and dislike it, then I don't think there's much point talking to you. sorry
I hate women btw
I was under the implication he was going to capture Mon. The framing for that should of been made more clear.
Are people really going on about this massacre Ghormans stuff being epic cinema??? Or is it just paid posts
This wasnt that different to seeing what happens at the end of rotj except that's actually unsettling because you realise ewoks eat people and have killed and eaten those troopers
Please explain how after 3 people get murdered at a senate that andor and mothra left so easily.
The planet usually has star destroyers around it so how was andor able to leave so easily.
This was a recurring thing this season and it annoyed me a fair bit. Cassian just has to shake off 2 TIEs on Sienar and is home free. And when he returns to the farm planet, he is within visual range of a Star Destroyer carrying out a planetary inspection and isn't even hailed.
If you sincerely took from that Cassian is force sensitive then Andor was never meant for you.
Because even in the Empire you can't just take a fucking senator away with Storm Troopers?
Strange because that's happened several times before. Did you forget it happened already with the senator from Ghor???
What was so cinema about it?
Syril was ok but his complete change of character was retarded.
If you think episode 8 was something special then did you cry at the end of lotr too.
Yeah, it's awfully lacking in gay porn
I thought dedra's mental breakdown at the end of episode 8 was insanely well done and somehow just as if not more impactful than the actual massacre itself. It's basically like watching the entire preceding show's worth of episodes of her doing evil shit suddenly come crashing down on her all at once and her finally grasping the full magnitude of what she'd done. It got to me seeing her fiddling with her uniform and trying to straighten it out, partially because it's a clear sign of a mental breakdown and desperately trying to maintain a semblance of control, but mainly because it made her look like a scared child, looking at herself in the mirror and wondering what she had become. I think she feels genuine horror for what is happening.
The layers to all of this though, the weight, really is something else. the way every episode before this has moments of 'implication', where you can tell something horrifying is going to happen but it's not said explicitly until the massacre, like those young soldiers arriving and everyone's like "they look like boys" and even dedra's like what the fuck are these guys doing here, until you suddenly realise they're just sacrifices.
like I said - if you have to even ask then it's not really possible to discuss it. you wouldn't get it
i'm not sure why anons are claiming he's hesitating or turning away from the isb
he tried to be proactive trying to get her schedule, tried presnitching but lagret told him to fuck off & do his job properl
the glance at the blaster & not taking it is bait, he's a driver not erskin who was her actual security
why does a driver need a blaster & not coordinate with erskin as his driver cover story?
OR it could just be shes heartbroken that the man she loved was just murdered.
People tend to be upset when a loved one dies. You honestly think she gave a shit about the Ghor
why does a driver need a blaster
Hes working for ISB and if he is going out to actually capture her why wouldn't he take his blaster? Whats he gonna do tackle the bitch?
The show has pointedly attempted to show that women are also in charge in the rebellion/empire and just as responsible for the empire and its atrocities as the men, which is pretty radical for a Disney piece
It's a shame the show focuses on Mon's political maneuvering to resist the emperor when Bail Organa and the rest of the rebels are left offscreen until the end when they pop out of the woodwork just in time for Rogue One
Please explain how after 3 people get murdered at a senate that andor and mothra left so easily.
It wasn't easy, it was so hard 3 people got murdered.
Someone succeeding with something doesn't mean it's easy, this a concept that tends to be hard for people to understand when they have IQs in the lower ranges coupled with autism.
Anon, it's just the screenshot. I have hdr.
believed in what he was doing and the code of law & order
genuinely thought he was helping
once he realized what was happening immediately attempted to prevent the massacre
died fighting the man who in his mind started all of this
REAL
HUMAN
BEAN
why not just wait til she comes back to her ride? could have driven straight to ISB HQ with her
his proactivity was dumb & rightfully called out by erskin AND lagret
oh yeah forgot to explicitly mention that, but I think she recognises to a significant extent that SHE got him killed by being an evil bitch. You realise this because after Syril nearly kills her and then storms off visibly opposed to her plan, she doesn't go "guards seize him" she seems to break down and freak out at the realisation that even syril thinks she's a monster
I also do believe that she also thinks what happened with the ghor is fucked - she wasn't told about them using their own soldiers as live sacrifices, and she was initially opposed to joining the project; I also think that how disturbed she looks when everything really does start kicking off is one of those things where yes, she knew what she was doing, and yes, she 'expected' this is what would happen, it was literally her proposal to krennic, but now that she's there, now that the day has come, she underestimated just how fucked up it would all be, and when it's over she has the mental breakdown.
Unironically not a bad person and an incredibly well written character imo, yes his turn to become sympathetic could've been written a little better and given more episodes to breathe but within the scale of the show I think he's my favourite character.
Holy fuck some of the people in here are stupid
Are you fucking retarded anon?
3 people get killed at the Senate. Palpatine doesnt make an appearance when you think he would considering the importance of the situation. He made an appearance after the events at Kamino when the clones destroyed the city.
So 3 people dead within the senate. The location of the ISB and Storm Trooper main bases. Several star destroyers above the planet.
The city would be on lockdown with andor and mothras face plastered everywhere.
You'd have patrols and more ships and tie fighters in space.
Andor not only leaves without issue but mothra gets to leave with a pick up party.
Andor also leaves Ghor easily when theres star destroyers above that planet and when a massacre has just taken place and when the planet would be on lockdown.
Your talking about low IQ?
Saw repeatedly gets called an extremist and a terrorist despite his cell being the most well funded, organized and capable from the start
Should of shown Saw bombing some Imperial buildings to really show how far he's willing to go. At no point did I ever think "Yeah Saw has lost the plot"
Syrils death is another tragedy to the ghor massacare. He was a true beleiver in the rebellion in the moment he lowered the gun at realised Cass had no idea who he was and never even saw his face. Then some frog shot him in the head
Im liking the droid in Skeleton Crew. At first I thought he was a broken down KX unit but guess not.
"what have you sacrificed?"
".....Calm. Kindness. Kinship. Love. I've given up all chance at inner peace. I've made my mind a sunless space. I share my dreams with ghosts. I wake up every day to an equation I wrote 15 years ago from which there's only one conclusion, I'm damned for what I do. My anger, my ego, my unwillingness to yield, my eagerness to fight, they've set me on a path from which there is no escape. I yearned to be a savior against injustice without contemplating the cost and by the time I looked down there was no longer any ground beneath my feet. What is my sacrifice? I'm condemned to use the tools of my enemy to defeat them. I burn my decency for someone else's future. I burn my life to make a sunrise that I know I'll never see. And the ego that started this fight will never have a mirror or an audience or the light of gratitude. So what do I sacrifice? Everything! You'll stay with me, Lonni. I need all the heroes I can get."
It's a show for children made a bit extra edgy, let it go my man
not saying turn your brain off, but come on, you know what this is...
besides writing what you describe (showing blockades, chase scenes etc) would inflate the budget even more
somethings you just gotta write around
Palpatine doesnt make an appearance when you think he would considering the importance of the situation
yeah and Darth Vader would've sliced Andor to pieces as soon as the first person died.
How does having Star Destroyers around the planet help them to identify which ship of the millions coming and going from this giant city planet has a senator on it
It's a show for children made a bit extra edgy, let it go my man
Would you show a child episode 8?
that SHE got him killed by being an evil bitch
She didnt get him killed. He went out there and the old guy killed him. Not her.
You realise this because after Syril nearly kills her
But he doesn't. Hes just angry because he was lied to. People lose tempers with each other.
she also thinks what happened with the ghor is fucked
Odd because she didnt care when it was Andors homeworld.
Several star destroyers above the planet.
Real weird how those star destroyers didn't start blasting when Erskin called the ISB plant a rebel spy.
Saw should do the equivalent of 9/11 with Rhydonium in the last arc. That would be cool explanation for how he lost his legs in R1.
If they really wanted to show Saw being an extremist dangerous to both Imps and the rebel movement, they should have shown him attacking a mixed civilian/Imperial spaceport.
sure, it's not as graphic as you make it out to be nigga, kids these days play cod and other trash, you need to grow up
1st scene with Saw
Saw is one the fence about working with another rebel leader Kreiger since he's never met the guy despite Luthern asking nicely and giving him gear if he agrees
2nd scene with Saw
Two Tubes say he's 'in a mood'
Saws in on working with Krieger if he has tactical command of his men and can keep whatever his guys loot
Has to be told no Kriegers a dead man to keep Lutherns ISB source safe
Saw gets paranoid about Luthern being isb or just having a man spying on him
Needs a gun pointed at him to calm him down and relax that they're all working on the greater good
S2
Gets that kid from Ferrix to teach one of his men some machine
Says he'l kill the kid for seeing to much
His guy says he can't know all the patterns for the machine, so he shots him and recruits the kid
Guy was a traitor, possibly a fake story and two tubes planted the device on him
Does drugs and makes the kid do some to because fuck it we're dead men but we're free in this moment, this perfect night and revolution is not for the sane
Yeah he seems pretty easy going and pretty rational when dealing with him all things considered
I can tell you don't have kids and have never looked after young kids lmao
yeah kids play video games but a child under the age of 12 usually doesn't have the faculties to adequately process watching a crowd of civilians get mowed down while screaming in terror, than and the general atmosphere of the episode is incredibly intense and would stress the fuck out of a child
Both convey every possible conceived emotion in a minute.
Maybe that's why bong actors are superior to any other one.
Was a great choice to not cut away during the scene.
Have you never seen what happens when a place gets locked down?
Nothing enters or leaves....that's kinda the fucking point....
What's your point here? Vader is busy ok but we have inquisitiors and even top ranked officials like Krenic.
If they were watching and believed mothra might pose an issue within the empire then why wasnt she strong armed before this event? Why not taken to 1 side and mention her families safety or perhaps suggest it wouldn't be wise for her to mention certain events.
Why were the people on staff that day a bumbling bunch of idiots who couldn't change a light bulb?
I'm starting to feel there pushing out 3 episodes each week because this shits becoming like The Last of Us.
It really does feel like a drop in quality from season 1 which was an easy 9/10. This is like 5/10 with mind numbing shit it in that makes zero sense
The Force moves through him and exerts its free will, thus eroding his own
Soller is mutt and Gough is Irish
She didnt get him killed. He went out there and the old guy killed him. Not her.
you misread the episode then. It's blatantly obvious that she feels personal responsibility for his death - she didn't pull the trigger nor force him out there, but by orchestrating the massacre which led to his death she effectively caused his death herself.
But he doesn't. Hes just angry because he was lied to. People lose tempers with each other.
they're a long term couple and she's a high ranking imperial official, and he chokes her so badly her face starts going blue for a full minute whilst demanding classified information out of her. that's not being a little angry for being lied to, that's a seismic shift in their perception of one another and syril's own identity
Odd because she didnt care when it was Andors homeworld.
Andor's homeworld wasn't the same thing though
*ahem*
I like how she's genuinely fucking afraid of him here.
revan understood snacks
she didn't pull the trigger
her 2IC even said he's the trigger, she's the finger
part of me almost wishes syril had killed her here, although it would've required fleshing his internal though process and motivations beforehand a lot more. Would've been kino writing for andor to be sent there to assassinate her only for her bootlicker boyfriend of all people to get it done methinks
>she didn't pull the trigger
her 2IC even said he's the trigger, she's the finger
yeah exactly, so she feels responsibility. If a lieutenant tells his men to charge a machine gun nest across an open field, it's not him that shoots them himself but he'll certainly feel like he did.
Admiral! Three people died in the Senate! Also we're getting reports that one of the rebels did sexually harass one of our ISB field agents, Lord Vader is furious. Full ramming speed on the senator from Chandrila!
Andor's homeworld wasn't the same thing though
Holy cope. Jesus
There also not that long a term a couple. You've clearly never been in a relationship because couples argue and sometimes that shit gets bad! REAL bad. But then the next day you can be all lovey dovey again
She doesn't give a shit about ghor. Shes upset her bf was murdered. What's your excuse for next week if she personally sees to it ghor becomes a husk planet
mon doesn't give her family a heads up
Lmao. Imagine being Perrin husband of a senator one day and the next day your wife just became an enemy of the state and the ISB is now hooking your balls up to a car battery.
Dying Luthen's leaked last words to Andor...
There is another.....Cassian.....Andor.....your sister Dedra Meero....she is commanding the secret imperial flagship and is pregnant with the Android rebel leader Syril Karns child..
Doesn't care about her husband or daughter.
Doesn't care about her daughters husband or family.
Were told mothra is the good guy and liberals say shes just like Hillary fighting trump
SS guards were taking away the Ghornom senator big bro.
There also not that long a term a couple. You've clearly never been in a relationship because couples argue and sometimes that shit gets bad! REAL bad. But then the next day you can be all lovey dovey again
low effort bait anon, I'm glad you were just trolling and don't actually believe your bullshit lol
that show was puuuuure garbage. If they left the children out, and focused more on the pirates, it could’ve stood a chance.
Have you never seen what happens when a place gets locked down?
Nothing enters or leaves....that's kinda the fucking point....
And they didn't do that the capital world with billions if not trillions of people.
You think they wouldnt lock a planet down to hunt down a senator and a murderer who broke into the Senate and kill 3 people
You REALLY dont think they'd lockdown a planet to find these 2 people
The same people who just orchestrated a massacre on ghor, the same people that blow up a planet because they think rebels are there
I know its Anon Babble but you can get a gf if you try anon.
Chicken jockey gave you time away and you've clearly done nothing with it
No that would be incredibly retarded and impossible.
choking your girlfriend half to death is a mundane, common relationship incident that isn't particularly significant
nigga
I don't think you understand how big a planet is anon, or how many people an ecumenopolis planet in particular would have.
Felicity Jones is 41 years old
Absolutely not, Coruscant is fucking huge, that senator just accused you of being an evil tyrant on TV.
Are you that retarded youtube mutt?
Episode 4: A New Thread
