I loved it. No fucking words exchanged. Just grabbing the face, punching trying to subdue until "Who are you?" to the man who made Andor his entire life obsession

Finally some good episodes. The 1st 6 episodes were boring as fuck.

Are we talking a out Andor or Star Wars movies that learn from Andor how to tell actual Kino

be star wars theory

watch Andor

”is that a fucking brick and or screw?!”

internally seethe

keeps watching

”where the fuck is a lightsaber?”

keeps watching

”is that a heckin ESS AYY!?”

stops watching

cries

Andor of course

Wonder if we'll see Atha Prime in live-action. He was recently canonized after only existing as post-ROTJ concept art. I dig his look.

Hoping to push the Star Wars saga in a new direction, the Kenner designers created Atha Prime, who would serve as the main villain in the new plot line, which involved him battling redesigned versions of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. In addition to Prime, they also designed the Clone Warriors, which would serve as Prime's soldiers and replacements to the stormtroopers featured heavily in the films. He was also identified as an architect of the Clone Wars.

They've now introduced him as a villain in the prequel era comics.

AthaPrime.jpg - 407x869, 105.15K

You know I really like the force being like healing crystals and astrology to the average folk in the Star Wars universe. Fuck that every single army has a force user bullshit. It needs to be fucking rare to the point of being a myth and that people like Han Solo that travel the entire galaxy believe it's just voodoo

THE REBELS DID IT THE REBELS DID IT THE REBELS DID IT THE REBELS DID IT THE REBELS DID IT

episode 10 starts with a closeup on dedra's face illuminated by a faint blue light

her expression does not reveal any emotion nor does she blink

the camera zooms out. dedra clumsily reaches her hand into a cereal box and unceremoniously stuffs a handful into her mouth

the camera rotates behind her head showing the object of her contemplation and focus: a large, cylindrical tank filled by the body of a tall, lean man suspended in liquid

I liked these eps more than any other this season, but haven't had the urge to webm as much from these eps.

Deserved for being a frog.

Does Cassian have the force? That healer woman say she can 'feel' him. Is that it? He's been guided by the force all this time? He's like the starwars version of Jon Snow with all the ah dun wan eet bullshit.

He is, but he doesn't know that

Getting cut in half and being shot in the gut and left in the desert for hours is not lethal in Star Wars anymore, so why would a shot to the head be

every living thing is in the force it’s the first thing they ever say about it

He's been guided by the force all this time

Everyone is guided by the Force. If somebody has an important role in history (and Andor does), it's because of the Force.

Everyone has the force. But only few people can manipulate it. What she feel is that he has a huge role in the future. That's why she calls him delivery boy because his destiny is to deliver the Death Star plan

Yea but not as strong as Cassian, she said thank you for making her believe again.

good morning sir

No, it's just mythic explanation for his luck, he's not Kyle Katarn.
I swear to god, if they make him Kyle Katarn while already having killed him in RO, I'll flip.

Just got done with the episodes. I was right about Syril ha ha ha fucking bootlicker ding dong the KWAB is dead. "Who are you?" "What kind of being are you?" How would you respond without sounding mad? Jej what a fag. Unfortunately I foresee Dedra going on a warpath next time.

The Force sure seems to like guiding lean, roguish young men who are broadly competent and adept with blasters

Why does Cassian care about this droid so much, did he see that they're going to be friends? Did he read the script of Rogue One? What is that on the workbench? Is that the script?

it's not Bee

God dammit

Right, the story so far give some clues about him being guided by the force. That's new, right? I don't remember rogue one having that specific mention about him.

What is Bails plan? Why isn't he arrested?

Syril was a bitch and you're stupid learn to media literacy he was always going to die like a bitch

I'm glad that theory turned out wrong. Bee can live his life unbothered on the farm. Sad, but alive

Rogue One has the monk reacting to Jyn and Cassian though mostly to Jyn

Be Star wars theory

Be retarded

Get KWABBED again and again by people much smarter than you

media literacy

Opinion discarded. Go kill yourself.

I want to lick Bix' fart box so bad!

It's deff to the Kyber Crystal Jyn was wearing. Not Cassian.

So their plan was to use their fellow Ghorman civilians as human shields while they attacked the building with blasters and molotovs? The galaxy will see they chant as they simultanously set off smoke canisters so no one can see. They're clearly surrounded by imperial troops, even in elevated positions, and they still keep protesting...
You can't wave this away with 'they're idiots'.

I forget the time period of this show exactly. Are the Cal Cestis video games happening at the same time as this show?

There was absolutely no reason to militarily occupy Ghorman. It's one of the dumbest things Sheev could have done. The Ghormans were perfectly happy with their planet and it's industry. The Emperor could have simply mined the material needed and left the Ghormans alone. Why would he bring this kind of negative attention for no reason? Just like Ahsoka where the New Republic has to be dumb for the plot to progress, the Empire has to be dumb for the Andor story to be told.

I wish I had a girlfriend to introduce Star Wars to with Andor

Because extracting the material they need will destroy the planet.
The Empire are preparing ahead by fucking up the Ghorman so it'll be easier to just take what they want

I wish I had a gf to choke like Syril

He didn't just need to mine the planet, they needed to excavated the whole fucking thing. Destroy it entirely.
The Ghormans wouldn't even allow some buildings or weapon arsenals to be build in their cities. It was necessary.
Also the first 6 episodes were pretty much to explain exactly why this was necessary

Watch Michael Clayton.Corporate straight and narrow women turning out to be a weak and anxious mess is Gilroy's kink

If I remember the meeting scene correctly they describe the mining as 'invasive' and that it would potentially cause its collapse or something. Part of the idea is to get rid of the civilian population so there is no possibility for resistance by the time they do go strip mining the planet - something the population is not going to support. It is only due to the planet having political, cultural and economic influence that the Empire has to go through the whole PR campaign and false flag. The intention is just as much about making the wider galaxy not care about mining the planet to its destruction.

Ah I see a man of culture. A true kink connoisseur

mothma's daughter

corrupt rich don't care about rights or progress, she literally wants to be married off to a rich asshole and keep living her princess life

andor's sister

didn't that get resolved S1?

Sculdun

see pt1, he's rich and mothma is basically selling her daughter to him to fund the rebellion

Ferrix & Beemo

i'm sure we'll see beemo again before its over since we have 3 more eps right? ferrix eh they served their purpose and now we know they're in for rebellion

genocide

they're literally gonna destroy the entire planet and "resettle" the rest

syril wasted

love the character but his end is fitting, he is a literally who to cassian despite that being his entire life's focus

bix

yeah I dunno her scenes are a bit long in the tooth but she's at least reacting sorta how you'd expect a torture victim to

arc

this is actually the biggest criticism I have of the show, s1 was going from a guy to a hardened rebel, now that he is that s2 has mostly been him either doing cool shit (fine) or now with this set of eps setting him up as some dumb "you have your special part to play because we already made the movie where you die!" every character and storyline is more interesting than cassian's and sadly I suspect the last 3 eps will be all about him.

Because the Death Star isn't ready yet. Palpatine won't risk pissing off the core worlds until it is.

I do, but she fell asleep at Aldhani

I'm already grieving Luthen, no way he survives this season

My brother's wife never saw Star Wars before say they watched the original 6 and now she doesn't want to watch any of the shows with him. And apparently they only watch shows together so my brother is basically cock blocked from watching Andor

He's too important. He lived through fucking Order 66. It's why Leia was put into his care. He has so much diplomatic power he is almost invincible. He's the main reason why Alderan needed to go

presumably a near intact but disabled military droid would be valuable for intelligence purposes

so my brother is basically cock blocked from watching Andor

you need to fucking save him

Beemo MIA

Oh yeah I was thinking that something was missing, they did my little red droid nigga dirty. Probably doesn’t even show up in the last arc

I tried but she tapped out after the second episode. She likes the OT at least and I just showed her Raiders of the Lost Ark which she also liked. Could be worse I guess.

He needs to bet it all on Andor. "Trust"

I tried but she tapped out after the second episode.

leave her.

It's a valuable fucking asset? Why WOULDN'T he take it?

doesn't like the Scots i take it

Syril will become Lobot.

the blaster was set to stun , he will be alright.

and punch her in the side of the head on the way out

Ok in this scene we need the pale white blonde teen to randomly stare lustfully at the brownoid mulattos groin area who's name you do not remember but has been pigeonholed into every DEI scene.

Yeah trust me this advances the plot in the Star Wars cinematic universe....crucial...crucial....

impossible, nobody could like the french

Melshie, the guy he broke out of the prison with, the guy who leads the strike team in Rogue One. The blaster is the one he took off Syril 5 years earlier.

the guy was melshi

he's from rogue one, but was the other prisoner andor escaped with in season 1

shows he has type, all his girlfriends have been blondes.

It was the guy who Andor escaped the prison complex with. It was the blaster Andor had on Aldhani, with the blaster itself being issue by the corporation of the cops he killed / Syril worked for.

Her ass is indeed the place I need to be.

All the posts are the same as the last two threads. Is this topic on repeat?

Andor witnessed those things tearing through the Ghormans like nothing so he knows the droids are useful as weapons.

The ending with K2SO getting activated was Disney meddling, the episode climaxes and should end but you get a lazy Marvel post credits style cameo instead.

wtf are you babbling about?

Expedition 33 has been making me unironically sing in French these damn fuckers

It’s too bad we couldn’t have Jimmy Smitts back

Why not? If 50% of the population is going to female, with there shown to be plenty of female resistance Ghormans, and with the Imperials just shooting without discrimination there should be plenty of women getting getting killed in the massacre. The only reason not to is for some cultural sensitivity over it. Which probably speaks more to other tv/films that you find it stands out in Andor.

I just got here.
The same thing happened on everybody's screen so I guess it's normal that people talk about the things they saw that are the same?

they are doing a good job at slowly changing the feel of the show to align with how rogue one is so we can just slide right in when the final episode drops

Mon wet for the first time in decades

She truly loved him.

NGL, I started crying like a bitch here as well, and then the shot of his mom killed me.

i wonder if they'll end on a flash forward post death star/emperor. probably not

Also the first 6 episodes were pretty much to explain exactly why this was necessary

how frustrating it is, isn’t it anon? When you realize the intellect of those you have discourse with. Not only that, think about how many threads you’ve had to match wits with the same faggot, over and over and over again.

wrong, Vader was off screen choking her

It's a not a cameo it's supposed to seamlessly blend in to Rogue One. It would be weird if KS2O didn't appear by the end and the relationship with Cassian gets explained. Though Gilroy did hold off to include him as late as possible because he does indeed not fit the tone of Andor

does anyone have the syril karn real human bean edit video i cant find it

Also the first 6 episodes were pretty much to explain exactly why this was necessary

I would agree on 4-6, it is very much the setup for 7-9. Of the first three there is only the meeting with Krennic that is relevant to Ghorman, and it could have easily have been reworked into some alternate 1-3 arc.

Interestingly, the official website not only says that the imperial sergeant apparently was a pretty nice dude, but the black armored soldiers there were not even regular imperial army, instead being security trooper (so a rank below in term of equipment and training)

The higher up in the empire really wanted to screw over not just the Ghorman, but also the "lesser imperials" , explains too why there's far more stormtroopers later. They basically screwed over the lesser forces in profit of them and the ISB.

sarge.png - 1637x582, 690.39K

mine to hearts content

It's not hard, retard.

My guess is that Mothma's husband is going to do something, Mothma's arc is not fully over yet.

There isn't a strong character-based reason for any of the radical shifts in Syril's outlook--especially given how much screentime has been devoted to the character over two seasons. In this episode you can even see the writers throw up their hands and land on "He's confused." I actually like the actor and I think he's done his best to bring more to the character than is actually on the page. But his character arc makes as much sense and is about as strongly supported as Bix's or Cassian's--which is to say, not very. Obviously I understand the stock character arc he's being put through. But it all ends in clichés like Syril stumbling in a daze as he witnesses a massacre unfold around him in slow motion. Stuff like this is as much justification as we get, and it's not original or interesting. The massacre itself unfolds and is shot in a very boring, standard way. There's no mastery of tonal montage as in the Order 66 sequence. We spend more time with the recurring Ghorman characters here than with the Jedi in that sequence, but I couldn't care less about the Ghormans.

IMG_1538.jpg - 1160x783, 72.7K

Denise was considering quitting acting before she was offered this part

We aren't going to see Bix or B2 again are we...

edgy

She had cute hair in the latest episode

I do not see any eye-markings beyond what seems to be just the character (Human) wearing makeup. If she is non-Human then it seems far too subtle and I cannot see how there is enough time to play it into the show now substantively. If there is any truth to it then it seems like it could be some holdover idea from a show that was more than 2 seasons.

Exactly. They were useful fodder. Like the wannabe Trump assassin.

easy divorce

Everyone has the force, most just are not strong enough to use it, or are unaware of it.
Even someone with potential can barely use it without proper training, like pic related

Cassian, even if he had potential, would not be able to use it because he would have no one to teach him, not only this, but he doesn't even want to believe in the force, so he would never think of using it.

I think Cyril is one of the characters that probably suffered the most from cutting this show down to two seasons, since he basically goes from loyal idealist toady to confused doubter

Like the wannabe Trump assassin.

this

the show will have a post credit scene with Bee and Bix putting Cassian's brick on ferrix

Most people who only watched tge movies didn’t really give a shit about the background character jedi beibg slaughtered duribg order 66 either desu.

Syril thought he was there to stop a rebellion. He thinks the Empire is all about security and justice, not orchestrating instability and false flag operations. He has been lied to and used by the Empire and his lover, on both a higher ideal level and a raw emotional level he has had his worldview shattered and feels personally betrayed.

There's a very contrived, boring shift between episode 6 and 7/8. Why did they even keep him around if they couldn't bother with his arc?

In the span of a timeskip between arcs*

I just learned on reddit that Melshis blaster was actually Syrils from season 1, Andor stole it from him and gave it to melshi

He is a man of PRINCIPLE and INTEGRITY. The whole REASON why he pursued Cassian is because he, seemingly, killed two of his colleagues and no one gave a single shit about it, because Corpos are all corrupt fat retards who don't give a crap. In his mind, he was looking for criminals. And here, they fucking used him. Used him to commit genocide of innocent people, with no criminals to be found, no outside agitators. They used him to fucking stripmine the planet and kill all of its people, peaceful people. That is not what he signed up for. Because he is not a monster, and never was.

I thought the blaster was one of the guards he killed at the Brothal?

I wish we’d gotten those 5 seasons, everything is so rushed in season 2

but I couldn't care less about the Ghormans.

You are gay

I wish we’d gotten those 5 seasons Gilroy talked about in an interview, everything is so rushed in season 2

12 episodes of wedding

Saw Gerrera was in that game blowing things up and setting fire on everything

kwab

from what I saw its the one he took while he and luthen had Syril on the ground during the first three episodes, questioning him

Syril thought he was there to stop a rebellion.

And he goes undercover and literally meets terrorists. Then the writers pretend that Cyril is specifically and solely there for OUTSIDE terrorists as if this is supposed to be a distinction someone who cares about "security and justice" is going to completely flip over. It's bad writing.

Even though Syril was sadly killed before he could join the Rebellion, at least his blaster did. Tragic. He would have helped Cassian if he didn't get killed.

4.png - 1920x804, 1.47M

as far as I'm concerned, he did join the rebellion for like two seconds before he died.

I don't want to share this kino with anyone, not like I have anyone to share it with but if I did I still wouldn't

Do you think Syril would have become a rebel or was the mental breakdown so hard to was pretty much a mercy kill ?
It's interesting how even Andor looks a bit shocked at the situation

Yep, zoomers are literally cancer

The issue is that in the show itself, he goes from zero per cent oblivious to the Empire to having severe doubts about what he's doing, and has been made to do by the Empire between episodes, his arc makes sense, it's just not shown on screen due to the cutting back of seasons

original 6

Then the writers pretend that Cyril is specifically and solely there for OUTSIDE terrorists

He literally is, retard. Watch the show. He thought they used Ghormans as bait for the real prize. And even then, dumbass, he was not there for an indiscriminate massacre of the entire population. Are you trolling?

Saw Gerrera was in that game blowing things up and setting fire on everything

cover4.jpg - 1920x1080, 587.43K

Syril is kind of an idiot, though there's a timeskip every three episodes, perhaps he had a few doubt here and there but thought "my girlfriend tells me it's good, I am doing something good"
He's not a very strong man mentally, even if he wish he was, he crave for order and justice but also need someone to guide him

As long as the terrorists are domestic he's completely fine with it!

You're a moron. And the fact you keep referencing the genocide that doesn't happen until long after he flips just proves it.

Just imagine the sudden realization that he's just a tool and a nobody before that blaster hit his head.

this is the only show i have wanted to rewatch before it even ended

NTA but I also don’t give a shit about anyone in this show but the imps and I can’t imagine caring about the rest.
Cassian himself maybe.

So what happened to these idiots? they are clearly not the current rebels on Yavin, were they just all murdered by the beasts?

fuck off with your redit nuspeak nta bs

they become Bor Gullet

Mad and ESL

Everyone is a tool. What is your point? He's not a nobody, he literally infiltrated the Ghorman resistance and paved the way for the imperial operation.

There would be no "terrorists" without them in the first place, dumbass. They gave them the targets, they let them have weapons. He flips when he learns that the Empire doesn't even bother anymore with lying and outright makes shit up, like firebombing of the port, which the sources told him was a setup. He then learns that there is an armada in the sky and they drop mining rig. That's when he fucking flips, retard. AND NONE OF IT WAS WHY HE WAS THERE. He wasn't there to stripmine planet of resources. They used him and all of it was a lie.

Got eaten by wild monsters on Yavin

will we ever learn how Saw gets Bor Gullet?

Those retards are Yavin animal food

Again, KWAB. it's like baby's first lesson in the evils of the state. I wish I could frame this thread and the retards who are like "The empire did something wrong! In Star Wars! What the fuck is this!"
It's very very funny.

There would be no "terrorists" without them in the first place

Imagine believing this garbage.

Luthen

He basically went into a similar state in S1, when he was in the corporation police, with the operation to capture Andor having gone wrong. He came back from that but, you could say that he is even more volatile or broken given the massacre is just worse and the emotion regarding Dedra. You may have also got a possibility, not saying I would say it was the most probable, that Syril did just go back to the Empire, 1) quashing any doubts by saying it is just a few elements and the Empire as a whole is good (the Tsar / Comrade Stalin / the Fuhrer does not not know about this mentality); 2) or connection with Dedra winning out. If Syril did become a rebel then the question is what sort of rebel? Does he become relucent? Fanatical in his anti-Imperial view? Volunteering for suicidal missions as he does want to die?

Just finished episode 8
anons I'm not gonna lie I shed a few tears
This may be the one of the greatest episodes of television ever made
holy shit

A tool as in someone who is easily manipulated, used, or exploited by others you dumbfuck. His character never think like that.

same

The fact we won't get a new star wars show of this caliber is fucking annoying
and I say that as someone who liked all star wars shows beside Acolyte, but fuck, Andor is something else
Despite the extremely good reviews of both critics and watchers, there's still a pretty big part of the fanbase that refuse to watch it for some reasons I can't understand.
Just like how some people completely refuse to watch the animated stuffs

seriously I haven't seen anything remotely close to that in years
I liked andor but fundamentally I still saw it as a star wars show
this is so far beyond star wars
fucking hell I need to go for a cig to process that

that sort of looks like the hallway outside the safe house Andor and Bix were living in but they could just be reusing it for something else

3 episodes left and this season just seems so utterly shit and as if it was written for women.

Seriously another 3 episodes on Switzerland planet.

Cyril completely changes character and dies a craptastic way.

Rape girl just leaves because it's the only way andor will stay with the rebels because obviously he wouldn't go looking for her right away.

Terrorist boy has a mud shark gf.

Mud shark gf seems infatuated with him when they've only just met.

Mothra who's been under watch for years just managed to insult the emperor and leave without getting caught.

Mothra not once asks if her husband or daughter will be safe.

Luthen openly being stupid and putting himself in danger when he could just lay low and be fine.

Mothra also putting herself and her family in danger when she could just lay low.

Emperor not present at the Senate after Ghor events when you think he would be considered how important the situation was. He was there after the events of kamino and several other important events.

Andor leaves Ghorland on his ship without any of the star destroyers above the planet noticing him.

andor and mothra leave corosaunt without any of the star destroyers above noticing them leaving? Even after 3 people were just murdered at the Senate?? Planet wasnt instantly locked down?

Lord vader has been very quiet.

This seer is force sensitive? At 50+ years old? Was never picked up on by the inquisitiors or anything.

Krenics role so far has been a board meeting and 1 great line of 1 mans rebal is another mans terrorist. I hope he actually gets to shine in the last 3 episodes.

I know they couldnt just of had a good season 2 because its disney and after season 1 being great you just knew they'd ruin this.
I'm glad its ending next week because if they had pushed this to 5 seasons like originally planned this show would go the way of the walking dead

Eaten by animals, died to starvation and jungle diseases, or raped by Sith ghosts.

These must be the turbo-tards that defend AOTC.

kino

Many think he attacked Andor to protect Dedra but imo I think he attacked him in a complete blind rage because he thought "If I had not encountered you, my life wouldn't be ruined and all these innocents would be alive" (which would be true in a sad way. Everything in Syril's life started to crumble the moment he wanted to pursue Andor for killing the two dudes)

There was no need to manipulate him in the first place.

A tool as in someone who is easily manipulated, used, or exploited by others

That doesn't describe Cassian?
That doesn't describe Mon?
That ...etc etc you utter fool. They're all being used and exploited by others.

or raped by Sith ghosts.

Naga Sadow wouldn't tolerate that shit nor do the Sith condone it.

kino

is it on youtube yet? the saw speech music is also god tier

youtu.be/qqswM6srLks?si=TDTfcsCe4Ww-3hhV

That's kind of a theme in the show, Syril himself is a dark mirror to Cassian

we will never get a star wars show of this quality ever again

only the animated shit will be good after this

FUCK FAGLONI

Same. Kino of the highest caliber that we haven't gotten since Chernobyl.

I wonder if this nutjob will return in the final arc
Saw is really interesting in the long run, you can really trace his entire life (the clone wars -> bad batch -> Jedi Fallen Order -> Andor S1 -> Andor S2 (+ Rebel happening during the Gorhman arc) -> Rogue One
You can really see how more and more extreme and insane he becomes

and 75% of Star Wars Animted stuff sucks

Disney Lucasfilm has yet to make a single good animated show. So far they have made none. Rebels sucked. Bad Batch sucked. Tales sucked. Resistance sucked.

75% of Star Wars in general sucks.

better than the 100% like the mandoverse

the rookie imperial soldiers used as bait really affected me for some reason.Meat sent to die

there's something about sacrificing oneself to destroy evil that's so god damned kino

thats something at the heart of Star Wars that I just love.

I blame the sniff sniff

i would maybe say 60% of star wars overall sucks but that going for a very broad net

If I do the weird hand thing with Bix will she get pregnant?

I think they simply need people to be creative BUT also recruit very good people.
Acolyte was creative but obviously the person in charge clearly was not a good pick, even if there was a few good idea and concept here and there, they were wasted by all the bad stuff.

Star wars need to be more creative, but also have the right people behind. Skeleton Crew was a very different show and clearly not perfect, but it was actually pretty good too, because it was creative enough.
Gilroy apparently teased some horror project in the work he heard about and was excited about, wonder who could be behind that
The "Mandoverse" stuff, it's decent, but it's really not creative. It's not bad to watch most of the time, but you won't see something truly special like Andor in it.

the rebellion should build their own darth vader out of syrils heart and beemos brain in k2s body so they can fight darth vader. the story twist should be that they just steamroll right over established canon and just do whatever

its crazy because the things in this show are what governments actually do.

It's way too kino, too bad normies don't give a shit about it

Honestly I've always been a casual Star Wars guy but after this I don't want to watch any more Star Wars, none of it will ever be as good as Andor

That level of autism would annihilate the entire galaxy

Biggest pozzed woke bullshit of this show is that stupid ugly friend of Andors who looks like an extra from Battle of Algiers pulling down not one but two white women. I GET IT YOURE IN LOVE WITH BROWNS DISNEY DONT EXPECT ME TO BELIEVE A BLONDE FRENCH HOTTIE IS GONNA BE DIGGING THAT

Suspension of disbelief over

none of it will ever be as good as Andor

star wars is built on hope.

NTA but

Mothmas daughter, Sculdun

For as much time as we spend on the wedding, theyre basically nonpeople. 98% plot device

Andors sister

They imply shes dead with basically a throwaway exchange late in S1. Stupid as hell since it's literally Andors motivation from minute one, but gets dropped instantly

Ferrix etc.

It seems undercooked that we don't get to actually SEE any effects of the events of S1 there. Having even a short depiction of growing rebel forces there would have been very appropriate

Syril

I'm fine with how that went down, but I think I would've liked it even better if it went like

Who are you?

and then Syril forces back tears and says 'it just doesn't matter anymore', and walks away

Bix

She also suffers from this weird marionette syndrome where the writers just don't seem to know what to do with her

Arc

Too much disconnected stuff. A pile of gaps and loose ends.
Generally incredible production values, let down by unworthy writing/plotting/narrative cohesion

Rebels low are very low but it's high are very high, Bad Batches was decent, Tales were decent, Resistance I didn't see it but I heard it was mediocre but not straight up bad.
The worst of Disney star wars right now are episode 8/9 (though I do believe 8 is a well made movie from a technical pov) and Acolyte, Boba Fett is VERY mediocre but it has a few cool scenes, same for Obi Wan.

Cassian knew he's being used, that's why he's chimping out every few episode to Luthen and wants to get out. Cyril does not.

I clapped when the clerk said the line.

think I'll watch the new season of Visions, but I'm not sure about anything else

i didn't think that disney wars could make me feel something

Lil bro really pull some prime white pussy

wonder who could be behind that

could be the thing Carlton Cuse is working on however iirc the statement Gilroy made sounded more like a hypothetical "wouldn't that be cool?" rather than talking about an actual thing someone is actively producing

Maul show could be pretty cool.
I'm pretty sure they are cooking a final clone show or at least a limited series.
I do still believe there's potential for the future, it just need to be well handled, but I'm not all doomer like others

who cares if they are nonpeople when they build a part of the main character

No Resistance was really, really bad, way worse than the lows of Rebels, with no good highs and a ton of episode repeating themselves
The only thing that stood out about it was the vehicle designs

quite simply, I believe a big cause of this is that the current pushed characters arent very creative themselves
ahsoka as an example doesnt really have a character arc, she hasnt really evolved since mid-TCW
people love to go "she's boring in ahsoka", but in reality she's always been boring, just back then she had other main characters who were interesting to play off of
same shit is gonna happen in mauls animated show, he's a shallow character and everything else in the show will be whats interesting

if lucasfilm swaps to some more interesting characters, the stories would be more creative

I'm surprised French Brasso survived

I don't even know anyone who has ever watched it desu, they clearly had some lower budget behind it too with it's artstyle

she knew her boy got decked ;_;

boba fett is a lot better than obi wan, its basically just a side arc of mandalorian

Animation wasn't the problem is was more the writing. Resistance made Rebels sound like it had mature writing to it

Maul show apparently is inspired by the star wars third trilogy idea George had and the canceled Maul game, so I think they could still do something cool with him. it gotta be the final project involving him though he doesn't need more

Throughout the entire Gorman massacre Wilmon kept reminding me of someone famous but for the life of me I couldn't place it. But then it came to me all of a sudden and it was Eddie Vedder. The facial mannerisms were uncanny. 100% Eddie Vedder. Am I the only one who noticed this?

they've also recently set up a ventress show due to tales, as well as the hidden path being prominent again
ideally a dark times show with multiple plotlines like TCW would work best

ventress show

Hate this albino cunt like you wouldn’t believe

The entire Rebels is one big low for me. Ahsoka vs Vader stuff was insanely good and close to Andor levels of kino, but then fucking RUINED with time travel, and retroactively made terrible. Filoni should be fucking thrown off the bridge in minecraft for fucking up this monumentally, having kino on your fingertips, and then squandering it, holy shit. For that alone, I despise that show with passion. Maul vs Kenobi was good. That's about it. Everything else was putrid shit. It was a TV-Y7 DisneyXD show, completely neutered, technically ugly, shitty voice acting, terrible OCs, utterly retarded lore additions. I can't stand this show.

Bad Batch was just bland slop, could have been kino if it was about regular clones dealing with changing galaxy, but no, it was about one note cartoon archetype team fortress stereotype characters babysitting some little mary sue plot device, monsters of the week and fetch quests, and explaining how palpatine returned, lmao. Two good episodes with Cody and Crosshair out of what? 50? That's it. Pathetic ratio. Bad show.

Tales - only Dooku's were good. The rest were either complete fluff nothingburger, or bad.

As you can see, the ratio is pretty terrible. They have yet to make a DECENT show.

Eddie wasn't brown last time I checked

he will get the Imperial Medal of Freedom

cast and crew of andor should be very proud of themselves. i initially though it was going too slow and focusing too much on contrived space politics. just finished Who Are You and just goddamn... i'll be honest and say i teared up during the last broadcast

the conspiracy we feared is real

she's a well liked character that isn't overused or annoying
why?

yeah without all the buildup it would just be unfulfilling

kek, I can already see from miles away that it's going to be everyone else's fault but hers with her Uncle Harlow saga

her panicking was a troubling sight

Why were the droids unarmed tho? Just for show? Are they designed to beat protesters to death?

Who cares if they're nonpeople

Then don't spend so much goddamn time on it
See also retards on Yavin

she should have stayed dead.
Introducing straight-up resurrection(not force healing) to Star Wars was not a good idea

I think Resistance basically was a very clunky attempt at getting the sequel era to be good with new generations, since many didn't see the movies. but it had a lot of issues in it's setting alone (there's barely a year between the start of the sequel trilogy and the end of episode 9)
I'm not even sure how it managed to get two seasons considering it barely had any merch too (even if some characters clearly were designed with this in mind)
In the end, no one watched it, not kids, not adults, not even most hardcore star wars fans. Even that Young Jedi show probably has more viewers than it.

i long since stopped caring about hollywood awards if i ever cared about them at all but this year I really am hoping this show gets recognized. the cast as an ensemble and the sets/effects guys definitely tho I can't remember if the emmys or golden globes even have technical awards at all

Not even the Imperials are fucking crazy enough to give droids guns

isn‘t overused

pointless resurrection in bad batch

pointless anthology eps

Yeah okay

I used to fap to Darth Talon

Even that Young Jedi show probably has more viewers than it.

[spoiler[ I've heard that it's a decent show for a made for babies which generally has very low standards of production[/spoiler]

Hi, George.

I'm 50/50 on a Ventress show, because her tales episode were pretty good, the dynamic with the kid was fine, and Ventress is a cool character as a whole, but she basically just morphed into a kinder version of Aura Sinng (was that her name?) from Legends; it could be fine to watch but it's not doing anything special and I can't see multiple seasons out of it.

somehow palpatine returned

isn't she only in something like 15 episodes of all the tv shows?

andor is what I always dreamed Star Wars could be when I was a kid

Her facial design around the mouth still bugs me. Not nearly as much as it used to though but it still.

actually i think andor suc--AACCKK!!!

Imagine being French and all they came up with is an imitation of Parisian houses in space. It's just like the vietnames rice farmer planet from Mando.

Eh, to each their own, though I'm someone who like most things, I'm not hard to please.
I think a final clone show is in the work, to show the final clone rebellion and it's failure

This. Unbelievably retarded. Tired of this retarded faggot resurrecting characters and undermining emotional payoffs and destroying stakes and consequences, just because he needs another toy to play with.

15 more than needed because I doubt you’re counting genndywars

nah for me as a kid all i cared about was the force, lightsabers, and the mysticism. but this show really made non-jedi stuff super interesting

Heard the same too, maybe it's another thing like Skeleton Crew like "it's a very well made thing but I'm not the target demographic at all" but in a more extreme way

I really don't want to Devil advocate for RotS but at least Palpitine resurrection was a unholy mix of the Darkside, Cloning and mechanical technology that also wasn't perfect.
Ventress was straight up resurrected with no drawbacks, she is just as alive as she was during the Clone Wars no issues, Palitine can't even walk

turns out Syril has a clone waiting for him on Exogol

there are security driods not military driods

military driods are banned by empire after TCW and the deactivation of the driod army.

yes i spelt driods wrong and i cannot be bothered fixing it

Tbh I think that arc could easily have been executed in the time allowed. If there is a strong story structure, it can work. But there isn't a strong story structure. There is a lot of time-wasting in this show. For example, we spend a lot of time with the recurring Ghormans, but it doesn't matter, because little is done to differentiate them anyway. They might as well have been extras like the Order 66 Jedi. Those Jedi had stronger character presences anyway!

That's what Bad Batch should have been. But instead, we get... this.

bravo disney.jpg - 800x1200, 370.93K

properly connecting her to the hidden path more could make for a decent plot hook
she's a great and unique protagonist and deserves some time to shine
and speaking of aurra sing, she force choked her quite literally earlier today in a new comic

My future wife.

It's what I hoped Disney to make it when they bought it in 2012, only for the Canary in the coal mine to asphyxiated in 2014.

Bad Batch was excellent for the most part with only a few filler episodes. Animatii is Filoni's true calling. He simply doesn't have it yet with the live action stuff if he ever will.

the image quality must be upheld

checked

I thought Omega was going to be crappy but she was a alright character all things considered, nothing stellar but she was fine
I doubt she will return outside of maybe comics though, even if she is a pilot in the rebellion by the time of ANH when she's older

what kind of being are you...

also

720p

come on, you're missing out

Filoni's influence on Bad Batch really was only the first episode, he wasn't director or writer of the rest

maybe it's time wasting
maybe it's pacing and exactly what is needed to keep me on the edge of my seat

Ventress was straight up resurrected with no drawbacks

That is pretty lame. She should be on a limited time span or something.

this is the underrated part of andor is all the expansive lore world building shots, this is what all new shows and sequel trilogy sucked dick at. it didnt expand the universe at all. it just showed you the planet from space and whatever cheap set made

Bad Batch was excellent for the most part with only a few filler episodes

The other way around. It was only good for a few episodes (Crosshair & Cody, Crosshair on the snow planet), and the rest was retarded filler for women.

she had a cute accent and I was somewhat disturbed when I discovered the voice actress was a chink

I think it's implied that she cannot EVER see Vos again, if she does, she will die. And seeing him was her dearest wish

The jungle planet sequence is incontrovertible proof that it is time wasting filler and not slow burn writing.

Yeah normal irl bodega with some basic on the walls is really immersive

stares at you

She should be dead, and they should have just animated dark disciple.

if disney doesnt keep running with this style of star wars show they are full fucking retard, they will piss away billions on horrendous shows. its gotta be far more profit to spit out shows like these

The empire hate comfy, they prefer sterile stuff

Imagine my shock

and imagine a jedi show but with realism and great writing... my god

not every imperial ignores comfort...

Palpitine prefers Brutalism rather than Art Deco, so redecorated the senate to fit his whims to show he was the man in charge

where was everyone else on the entire planet of ghorman when the riot was going on? why didn't they use their supersonic flying machines to lend aid to their capital city where 200 people live?

I guess the same reason why they stripped the ships and troopers and everything else of color. No comfy and individualism allowed.

It's really a mess because almost everyone who have seeing Andor loved it, but there's still right now many people who refuses to see Andor.
Basically, they need to think "We are going to make some shows for the bigger public and some shows for a smaller niche", which is something Disney usually does not do. it's not impossible, but I don't think it's going to be a common thing

the drawback is that she loses her lover
unfortunately unless it is elaborated on what the specifics of that are it feels a bit cheap but its...fine for the most part, given how the nightsisters have always had proficiency in matters relating to live and death
it's implied it's just "she doesn't love him anymore and needs to let him go"

the constantly going back to tatoine , in mando
the whole of boba fett is based there.

and when mando is not on tatoine he is on tatine clone planets. the planet with the sand crawler and jawas for example.

They look a lot more menacing without the stripes.

actual exploration into force-wielding philosophies
wrestling with superiority or equality with non-force wielders
gritty and dangerous lightsaber combat
honest homage to samurai and western film qualities
a growing up story or a young learner and seeing his experience trying to construct a lightsaber
jedi school bullying
so much potential, fuck. gilroy get on this

Saw will be fucked next week right? I bet it's because of one of the tard blew up the rhydo.

the potential is massive

So Rebels is no longer canon? Afaik Mothma delivered her speech on board their ship.

NIIIIGGGEEEERRRSSS!!!!!

she did another speech

They've always been inconsistent on the senate. The Clone Wars version didn't have the windows like in Attack of the Clones which is a bigger goof. But it's clear they've renovated because the pods look different too.

008.png - 3840x1608, 3.95M

theres literally infinite content to do with enough creativity. its clear that the more mature content is the the future of franchise since the fanbase is older and actually have money to spend on manchild merch and trips to disney star wars land. id love to see sort of peaky blinders style of crime show set in the gritty underworld of podracing and swoop bike racing circuits and how they navigate it that world as maybe someone force sensitive.

its clear the star wars franchise is still doing massive soul searching after the sequel franchise flopped and a bunch of absolute turd tv shows came down the pipe. its clear by andor popularity shits on every other show

my brother is basically cock blocked from watching Andor

What an absolute pathetic faggot. A pussy whipped fag like that brings shame to your entire family name.

Yeah, they were more shiny but less ornamental.

Hard to take Rebels as canon when it ends with Ezra having Thrawn literally in his clutches as he and space whales warp to Peridea only for events to transpire into Ahsoka where he just fucks off the ship somehow and lets Thrawn live and go about his business for years and years.

Palpitine prefers Brutalism rather than Art Deco

This is has tipped me into joining the rebels.

NTA but there should have been more of a "reason" for Andor picking him up. Like his broken body should have been stuck in the speeder Andor escaped in or something. The way it was done kind of felt too random out of nowhere and forced.

Yeah, with all the good will I have, Ahsoka was really, really mid.

Money Palpatine could have used to train another inquisitor or finance other pressing issues. I know why he did it but was it actually worth it?

i remember a CIA lady character doing something like this in one of the Bourne movies too, you're onto something

The entire outer rim is nothing but desert planets appearantly.

Based Gilroy.

Undo all of everyone's hard work and sacrifices

New

Yes everything has a more clinical look to it. The pods were more detailed before. The exterior changed too in small ways. You can't really make out what the prequel version is like up close but Clone Wars had stained glass windows and monitors. Andor has a whole new structure built on the front of it.

19875.jpg - 1913x2858, 804.34K

I legitimately want a Jedi Yojimbo ripoff
