re-watched again for the 4th time it is unreal how good it was compared to the other 2 shows. I think it was just too much of a change in tone from the other 2 shows so it shocked gate fans. they should have just kept SGA going for another year or 2 to ease people into the darker theme of SGU

I really don't mind the first half of season 1 it makes sense that they are all pissed and at each others throats considering they don't know if they will live out the week. I did not know though that they switched out writers at the end of the season it makes sense though looking at how the 2nd half of the 1st season played out.

What I hated about the first half of season 1 was just how melodramatic and soapy it was, especially with all the communication stone rape and shit. It's one thing to have a darker tone with characters fighting and being suspicious of each other, but they took it to the point of the characters just being actively annoying to watch and all the conflicts became way too fucking formulaic.
