propaganda
How is this propaganda?
Sure it has combo doing his political stuff but the movie was just explaining about the culture of the time, which was a massive part of it. UK "ska" culture was politically motivated in the 80s
This is laughable.
youtube.com
Just briefing over the YT vid, I would expect that the story (ending) by the director is about losing his hope in england itself.
If you are not british or are a zoomer you might not understand at all but to simplify the 80s was full of riots against the system (coming from the 60s hippy love and 70s crackdowns of hippy shit to 80s harsh crackdowns) as it had become extremely, authoritarian, strict and punishing to the populace, specifically the working and lower class. Coal mines shut down, people were poor, recession, juxtaposed with materialism and the creation of synthetic fibres, so the wealthy had all these nice and relatively cheap materialism possessions where the poor were completely poor, could not find work, clothes were all shit hand me downs and could not afford all the nice things the average person could etc.
Why the ska (punk) culture was and ANTI culture against the "pop" culture of the time.
So in the case of the kid, who comes from a shit and poor life that is full of misery, he lost his friends and hope (in england) that he learned from combo, who took him and he saw as a father like figure as the child was fatherless....longing.
Most likely the movie is semi biographical as medows was a northern english poor fucker. Watch his first real movie, small time, basically shows what life he went into and culture he was around as a teen in the 90s.
Maybe what you are seeing as propaganda is just art eluding you as if you are not at least british, let alone english and especially if you are a zoomer or even a millennial born in the 90s, the meaning and message is gonna be lost on you as the movie is a story told from relevance. Meaning it is a movie told by someone who lived and understood the era and culture, rather than someone born after it idolizing it.
I lived in the 80s so i understand.
Was not until the 90s which again the rave counter culture sparked hope in the country(s youth) again.
La Haine
i think what anon means by propaganda is just that the movie has an anti-nationalist anti-white britain message about hate and what it does do "influentiable" youth.
I like the movie and even watched all the sequel miniseries, something can be good art but at the same time have a subversive and midguided message.
I am English though I'm not from that background and I never lived through the 20th century.
I understand what the film was trying to say because no one could possibly miss it: it went to farce levels with anime-tier lack of subtlety, I commented that it was artless to the guy I was watching it with. The music was some of the most transparently manipulative I've seen and also rubbish, that rendition of The Smiths is the worst I've heard.
I wouldn't mind the anti-white stuff as much if it was done with any kind of skill but it really wasn't. "Let's make evilman say some reasonable things too to make them seem evil". Amateur stuff, though apparently that's enough.
(OP)
I saw that in school, pure wank. Up its own arse like most French films though I didn't think it was as dripping with propaganda but I'm less familliar with France. There were also bits of it I kind of liked.
the sequel miniseries
Actually has one of the best acting scenes I have ever scene coming from joe gilgan and everything I see him in, his is brilliant minus that TV show he did brassic which basically really was propaganda (loads of gays even a gay gypsy, and interracial cuckoldry), Really underrated actor though.
The scene is where trev comes and knocks on teh door on xmas day to say lol tried an hero and knowing the character woody being all upbeat but he already disliked his life, missed his friends, didn't like his girlfriend but was with her and his parents on xmas day feinting being happy when she told him about lol he was basically laughing, shocked, heartbroken and cried at the same time.
Really solid acting from the characters emotions being portrayed by the actor.
The music
I can't remember the OST but it was ska, with punk and some pop mixed in. Smiths also being a part of the pop, but also counter cultures (working class musicians) of the era.
iirc it started hopeful like with ska, then went more punk "against the system" shit to pop like the smiths and then sombre.
Been a while since I watched it but ultimately the movies journey is about the boy growing up around these cultures and getting older, more mature as the movie goes on.
imo I think you are over-analysing with your own biased Anon Babble tier racism shit.
Sure you could say combos racially charged racist rhetoric was "anti white" making white people look bad, but what it was trying to portray was the culture of the era.
There were people, like combo, who could not find work, who had to deal with negros rioting (like toxteth riots) pissed off with thatchers government, immigration (which wasn't even that bad in the 80s, so what jobs he could get where all took by darkies.
Just a general pissed off young man truing to fight against the system, which was rather common place in the 80s.
Basically he turned into a racist skinhead
cont...
where not all the skins were actually racist, like woody and most of his friends who were just a part of the culture, wore the clothes, skinned their heads and listened to the music but didn't care about the politics of it all.
Remember these cultures were organic, not media manufactured like say the hip hop culture of the 00s, or zoomers being retarded in the 2020s (tik tok dancing and that floss dance being their culture, media made culture)
These cultures were anti-establishment, grew organically and were often violently opposed by the government.
Same as the rave culture of the 90s, which society eventually commercialized.
en.wikipedia.org
This is a good movie to explain the ideology that combo was purporting in this is england.
Again woody and his friends were not into that shit, it was only combo (iirc, 1 or 2 of the friends followed combo too)
I never saw any anti white propaganda like you are saying. If anything anti skinhead (neo nazi like skinhead) propaganda, but shit combo goes toa political nationalism rally anwyay so you could then call it PRO racists skin propaganda.
Again I just think your biased is essentially coming from your own mind, not the movie itself.
inb4 retard.
I have been awake for decades, I can see propaganda a mile away and this movie is not it, its home grown and made with genuine passion, love even.
poor oppressed career woman steps into elevator, instantly oppressed by the height of tall men around her
creepy white guy at the nuthouse makes inappropriate advances toward Clarice
friendly African-American guard reassures Clarice
Clarice walks into the room with cells and is instantly leered at and sexually assaulted by creepy white prisoners
Jack Crawford, the one morally decent white male character in the movie, makes a mildly sexist comment "to blow smoke" and tactically end a conversation
explains why he said it and apologizes
"you were still wrong for saying it. Everyone looks up to you as an example."
"point taken, Clarice. I, the white male in this conversation am very silly and wrong, and you are right"
such subtle messaging
you, when reading your own victimhood narratives into media:
"The personal is political. Basic sociology, sweatie. Racism and misogyny are structural, tacit, often silent and often go unanalyzed"
you, when other people read their own victimhood narratives into media:
"uhhh I think you're overanalyzing"

See the numbers in the top right of a post, if you click them it will revert to replies previously made, continue until the start of the discussion. Then read before you only replying to the last post in the discussion, missing the entire conversation, retard
Haven't seen it, but I assume at least one or all of the following messages are pushed:
racial diversity good
white racial preference bad
dislike of non-European immigration bad
Tories bad, Labour good
Falklands War bad, Thatcher evil
Homosex good
capitalism bad, socialism good
How can you look at that scene with the flag at the end and not think it's propaganda? I'd also like to know what the point of showing all that Falklands War footage immediately after that scenel?
When I mention the music I'm mostly taking about the scenes where some trite piano track plays over "disturbing scenes".
How can you look at that scene with the flag at the end and not think it's propaganda? I'd also like to know what the point of showing all that Falklands War footage immediately after that scenel?
I told you already. The movie is a journey of the boy being mixed within the cultures of the era, hence the title of the film.
The journey goes from being alone, to finding friendship, to finding a father like figure, loosing the friends and father figure and ultimately loosing his (newfound nationalism from combo) faith in england.
The reason why they showed the war footage is firstly because it was a massive thing of the 80s (so was the fall of the berlin wall, but world wide not just a massive event of britain in the 80s) and more importantly the kid lost his dad in the falklands war...
Just from the wiki plot:
In July 1983, Shaun Fields is a troubled 12-year-old boy living with his widowed mother Cynthia in an unspecified area in the East Midlands. Shaun is alienated, frequently antagonized at school and around town. On the last day of his school term, Shaun gets into a fight at school with a boy who insults him for wearing wide bell-bottoms and making an offensive joke about his father, who was killed in the Falklands War.
Like I said, the art is eluding you because you are not able to comprehend what it is trying to express because you actually don't understand the culture(s) of the 80s and are interpreting them from your own biased as a post millennia, probably zoomer.
The 80s had a mass amount and distinct culture in Britain and various events that changed the landscape. (socially, not geographically)
It was a massive turn of society.
in comparison all the 90s really had was the rave culture and gulf war, then 00s the twin towers hip hop culture and subsequent war and advent of tech. All of which were not distinctly BRITISH cultures or cultural events.
The movie, and subsequent TV series are about "this is england " in X decades (culture)
Anon Babble - where people who don't watch something come to get upset about it
This place is worse than Tumblr. Professional victims left and right just looking for their next grievance, zero concern for whether it's even real.
Also just to reiterate the
boy who insults him for wearing wide bell-bottoms
Like I mentioned earlier about the 80s culture, poor people wearing hand me downs juxtaposed by wealthy people having all cheaply made new synthetic fibre colourful clothing, but the poor people were so poor they couldn't even afford the new cheap clothing that "everyone else" was wearing.
Bell bottoms of course being 70s fashion (flairs) and him being a boy means those clothes are very old hand me downs from teenagers who were 12yo in the mid to late 70s.
Something you are never gonna understand as now we have shit like primark where you could work 1 hour and get and entire outfit of cheap clothes, because of synthetic fibres and sweatshops.
The cold war was also still going on, there was no mass trade with communist china like there was in the 90s.
The movie emulates the struggles of average people *youth) of the decade, or at least 1st part of the decade.
As does the subsequent TV shows.
The art isn't eluding anyone. People are correctly identifying the political bent/intent of the creation.
So if a movie was made set in 1938, mentioning WW2 is propaganda
Set in american in the late 60s showing people drafted into vietnam or hippys its propaganda...
It literally IS art eluding you as the entire movie is about the culture of england in the 80s and that is EXACTLY what it is showing, just albeit from a relatively small social circle and focused around 1 boy as the main character the events revolve around.
I think you might be retarded. You missed the point of the movie completely.
The journey goes from being alone, to finding friendship, to finding a father like figure, loosing the friends and father figure and ultimately loosing his (newfound nationalism from combo) faith in england.
Nothing of what you said escaped me because the film has no subtlety. It's clear what the flag was supposed to symbolise in the film and what kind of message discarding it is supposed to give.
This is plonked
as it had become extremely, authoritarian, strict and punishing to the populace, specifically the working and lower class
And it's gotten only worse and more insidious since then, to the point where people aren't even fighting back anymore. The nanny state won. Embrace total censure and surveillance.
My favourite joke about this is that the Brits are only mad at the Germans because they invented national socialism before they did.
So if a movie was made set in 1938, mentioning WW2 is propaganda
Depends what its position on the war is. For example: Casablanca takes a position about the war and the need for the USA to become involved. Is it a piece of art? Sure. But it is also propaganda.
I think you might be retarded. You missed the point of the movie completely.
No, you're disingenuously trying to pretend their is no political agenda because (most likely) you happen to agree with it.
To use the Casablanca example again, it would be like someone focusing only on the art of the film in an attempt to claim that the film doesn't push a certain message.
insidious
I would agree with this, it is not done from a sense of subterfuge rather than physical force or extreme social and financial deprivation.
Though i would also say the 80s was the start and stepping stone of the said insidious political subterfuge, which ultimately culminated in mass immigration to divide and conquer.
Even before this the rivers of blood speech in the late 60s forewarning the coming events was seen with disdain in the media (propaganda) as slow progression to normalize what was to come, mass immigration.
You know, (((their))) plans are planed over long time, not just implimented in one swoop as it will be rebelled against.
So we have things like the 70s crackdowns and 8s violent authority, then deprivation of economy, recession, to terrorist acts (from 9/11), mass increase in education (from 200s recession) to pandemic taking away of liberties.
One mass issue, or social thing we have in UK that is very diferent from say america. America has a divide in political ideology and more improtantly wealth disparency.
We in UK have CLASS divide and the lower class are always used as the target of these subversion. Because the lower class make up the vast majority (and increase the wealth of the higher class) and because they are the mob, are disposable and ultimately replaceable (with immigrants)
This seems to be (((their))) objective.
At least superficially.
Be a white, british, single man coming from lower class, say single family (after you father was killed in a war that was started for no reason, example) and your life is FUCKED here.
Fucked as in for the rest of life, you will have a poor quality life, be basically ignored and treated with disdain in society, even society systems (mental health, education, employment, medical help etc)
I know man, this shit is happening to every western and central european country. The Kalergi Plan is coming to fruition.
What gets me is that history has shown that there's fuck all we can do to stop it too. We've had entire decades of generations standing up to the system (60s-80s rebel culture), against a system that was much less influential and powerful as it is today. They didn't have AI supported geotracker facial recognition back then, or a giant global data base with digital fingerprints tracking you every second of every day. Just look at the corona demonstrations - all that happened was that people go beat down, seriously injured, prosecuted and in some cases thrown into such immense financial debts they could never recover from in several life times. It's grim and if boomers couldn't make a dent in the system after 10 years of demonstration against a much weaker system, what chance do we have? The immigration waves, plummeting birth rates, economic disparity and class inequalities will just worsen. Apparently global IQ has also peaked a while ago and is also falling again.
Not watched cassablance since I was a kid in the 90s but isn't it a romance drama full fictional movie?
This is england is a drama about "THE CULTURE" of england in the 1980s.
Massive difference. For it not to talk about shit like thatchers politics and the falklands war would not encompass the actual culture of england in the 1980s.
Remember the falklands war was the first war england started or were attacked by the enemy since WW2. It was a huge event in Englands culture. (last war too really as the gulf war and other peace keeping wars england was joined by other nations and never started the wars)
A better example would be 12 years in tibet. It is about a german mountaineer who ends up taking refuge in tibet after being caughtm and escaping as a civiliian by the "enemy" (of genramy) in the events of WW2.
It is biographical (This is England could be semi biographical or coming from a persons biographic events)
Sure the caught, escape and issues of the german guy were all biographical but the point is to not tell the events like WW2 never actually existed WOULD be propaganda.
The movie doesn't go into depths of the WW2 as it is not a war movie but it also doesn't pretend that it never existed as the events (WW2) are important to the events the movie is trying to tell.
Just like the falklands war is in this is england.
Again, art eluding you as you are not able to comprehend the culture.
Shit you even had to ask WHY the point of the war footage was shown at the end.
Again to point out a distinct english culture has never really been so strong like it was in the 80s.
There was 90s rave culture (spawning other music orientated cultures, like DNB, which even led to garage and grime music cultures in the 00s)
There was the 60s pop culture
50s mods/teddy culture
before that it was War, recovery from war and war again culture.
80s British culture was distinctly British.
(in comparison to 60s/70s hippy culture which was not distinctly British)
White nationalists are either 12 year old larpers or chuddie incel keyboard warriors that don’t leave mom’s basement. Both are too stupid to realize that original UK skins were anarchists and ska was socialist … right wingers just ripped off the culture and aesthetics because they never have any of their own. And in the 80s everyone else grew up except the low iq racists, too stupid to realize their stupidity and dumb ideology is the reason for their failure in life, not immigrants and everyone else.
There really isn’t anything more pathetic than white nationalism, expect for neo-nazi/natsoc which is another level of pure retardation.
In b4 Hurrdurr kike blah blah because these faggots can’t make a coherent counter argument or intelligent debate. Go back,to the Anon Babble circle jerk.
Just to add about culture. With the internet being so distributed and ease of access I doubt there will ever be a distinct British culture ever again.
Shit now zoomers use "internet speak" IRL like they don't even have their own slang and just parrot internet memes.
Even for me in the 90s and 00s, internet 1.0 internet culture, using meme, or 1337 speak outside of the internet was never done. it's cringe inducing.
While the systems ability to monitor and control is stronger, the general population is smarter, but like you said it is in decline as well.
Say in the 1910-1940 the average person was blindly patriotic and would gladly go and die for a war without any sort of just reason in his own mind but patriotism, social cohesion and social shame from peers. I would wager most of the average person would no longer do this (unless burger retards) but also nr will the migrants.
Though this is part of the plan too of course, make a weaker nation.
The plan has probably been in motion (by zionists, occultists, as well as monarchs being roped in) since the late 1800s at least. With WW1 and WW2 a part of the culling of the "strong white man" who all went and gladly died, while leaving only the weak behind to sire new spawn, and fill the lost ranks of the workforce with immigrants.
Anyway this is a tangent from the movie topic.
I don't really care about such things as I am an impermanent human being.
It is just rather ludicrous to see this type of shit unfold while nothing is done about it, when even with logic (or study and understanding of social conditioning and war) anyone can see that a non homogenous, multi racial, national and cultural "nation" makes a weaker nation.
chuddie
incel
right wingers
tl:dr
Fuck off jew
You know nothing of the world or of culture.
Your world is just shitposting propaganda and "culture" is that "you" are chosen people, special to others, when in fact you are not even a human being.
You cannot even understand human affairs because you are such a subspecies far away from humans that my only regret in life is as a human is the judeo roman generals did not just wipe you all off the plant for the betterment of rome and the world.
lefties be all 'coal bad' but the moment you tell them you are closing the mines they be like 'that is fascism!'
lefties
Here is JIDF again trying to protect their propaganda
You know if chuds didn't invade this place in 2016 and turn it into Stormfront 2.0 maybe the JIDF wouldn't have to intervene so fucking much.
chuds
Fuck off back you fucking jew, Just leave the site, you are not welcome here.
Go to your own sites, blacked.com and shit like that you degenerates watch
This.
Also it's worth noting that it's not propaganda because Combo is redeemed in the sequel TV show and doesn't have to go through a humilation ritual. The film and subsequent shows just express what England was like in the 80s, and from all accounts the 80s were a pretty dire and bleak time to live in that was very ideologically driven. It's a bit like today in England except people actually went outside and founded real communities based on their views and interests rather than sit on Twitter all day.
getting angry at words
Not watched cassablance since I was a kid in the 90s but isn't it a romance drama full fictional movie?
Are you kidding? It's a literal deliberate propaganda film made in cooperation with the US government to help convince a skeptical American public (after WW1) of the need for the US to get directly involved in WW2. Watch it again as an adult.
What you're doing it the equivalent of saying "But the music, clothing, and culture of the era is ALL Casablanca is about, the director does not have any opinions that he hope to impress upon the audience."
I know all about 80s culture and politics in Britain, I don't need to be lectured about The Specials, Skinhead youth gangs, anti-racist skins vs racist skins, miners strikes, new romantics, the BNP/National Front, Thatcher, unemployment, etc... It's very old news. You're not special for being aware of it.
For some reason you insist upon claiming that Shane Meadows doesn't take positions on matters of politics, race, class, & morality in his work.
He doesn't make films that say:
"Hey maybe Far-Right were correct about immigration & race (etc). You should definitely side with the Combo character!"
Nor is his position neutral about aforementioned topics. He has a Left-Progressive ideology which he hopes to impress upon the audience: to reject racism, reject nationalist political movements, reject anti-gay attitudes, etc...
That's fine. He's entitled to his opinions and he's free to make films in which he tries to get people to agree with them. But I'm not going to pretend that isn't what he does.
democracy under attack
aren't those articles supposed to be demoralizing, not optimistic
aren't those articles supposed to be demoralizing, not optimistic
Combo regretted what he did because he grew out of the culture. Specifically because he grew up as a man.
That 80s political skinhead culture.
Well just read the wiki page on skinheads. It explains exactly how it formed and what the dichotomy was between the skins subcultures were in the 80s.
Woody friends were apolitical, having fun, combo was a pissed off youth nationalist.
All from lower class.
As for the political shit you are talking about now.
Generally people do not talk about politics. We don't talk about it or religion outside of conversations with friends, general conversations too and fringe people who are in fact politically motivated (or highly religious) and they gather in groups, like in their religious communities or go to university to study politics.
These people are few and far between and not really people you will meet going to a pub, bar or walking in the park.
The political fagottry propaganda you see on shitter (why even use that trash) or even here from Anon Babble fags are the fringe people who are terminally online and use it as a soapbox.
This in no way relates to what culture is like in 2025 England.
Ultimately most of this is american propaganda too.
I tl:dr anyone who uses faggotry words like that or posts images of that school shooter burger fag you all admire.
Your shitposting is not even worth reading, a waste of time even reading a text of your shit opinions...let alone responding.
Lefty/pol/ makes up and acronym as a derogatory term because they dont want to be an anon and call you a nigger or a faggot like a normal anon, as they dont want to "marginalize" the niggerinos and faggorinos
gets filtered
Your entire posts are always filtered.
Only reading them now as there was good debate about the meaning of the movie and culture of 80s England. So some anons may inadvertently get their words filtered.
I also tl:dr anyone who uses "y'all"
Your intelligence is too low to even relate with, no point.
Are you kidding?
I have literally not watched it since I was a child in the 90s. Generally I don't watch "old movies"
Like example I know the classic "frankly my dear" line from gone with the wind but only because my mother watched oldies like that when I was a child. I as an adult have never gone back to watch it. I don;t old movies. That old. 70s is probably the furthest I ever go back and only with very few exceptions like warriors, rocky...Some of the "classics" like cassablanca I may have only seen before I was double digit age, playing with toys, not even watching the TV let alone watching or understanding the story.
About the only movies I do remember the stories to from that era are the old harry huhansen movies like jason and the argonaughts, or wizard of oz. Plus old disney movies, most of which were based upon folklore stories I was read as a child anyway. European fairy tales.
I prefer the medium going forward, I am not a cinephile or an art fag. I watch movies for idle entertainment, generally.
Watch it again as an adult.
I am clearly not gonna do that. No need.
you insist upon claiming that Shane Meadows doesn't take positions
I am not saying that at all. If a person was X religion, or Y political affiliation it may influence their work by nature of their ideologies and beliefs.
What I am saying is that this movie is not propaganda.
Like all of his movies, it is "slice of life" where most if not all of his work is based around his own experiences in the world. The midlands area of UK.
Just look at his filmography. Even dead mans shoes (based in wales) has the same slice of life function. War vet, downtrodden, loss etc.
His work is generally talking about normal individuals set in a period, based around culture of the time and location, which in most cases is UK, midlands (Time changes per work)
More like you misunderstand the director (the art as I mentioned before) and stating your own opinions of propaganda that is not even there.
>Lefty/pol/ makes up and acronym as a derogatory term because they dont want to be an anon and call you a nigger or a faggot like a normal anon, as they dont want to "marginalize" the niggerinos and faggorinos
It works though. There's a specific type of autistic rightwing crybaby (not you) that this word and concept attached to it really triggers them and it's fun to see them chimp out.
I wouldn't keep doing it if those tryhard Anon Babblecels didn't ask for it all the time. 20 years later and people still haven't learned to feed the trolls (like me).
More like you misunderstand the director (the art as I mentioned before)
There's nothing to misunderstand. It's bog-standard Kitchen-Sink wank for Guardian readers.
Ok, you can pretend the director is neutral about race, politics, class, nationalism, homosexuality (etc) and doesn't wish for his audience to share his dislike of things represented by the Combo character. And if you do ever re-watch Casablanca you can pretend it is just a love story set in Morocco in the early 1940s. Whatever.
it really triggers them
You are literally living in a dream world you fucking faggot.
Why do you think you see the words "retard, nigger and faggot" more than even worlds like "a" and "the" when you shitpost on this site
Because somehow anons are "triggered" by text on a computer screen.
be newfag
doesn't even lurk and learn culture
be retard
thinks pissing in an ocean of piss does anything
thinks anons care about faggots faggotry
Next you are gonna think we are "trihggered" by all the nigger dicks and trannys you spam...
Fucking retard
go back
Then KYS
"it doesn't trigger anyone"
proceeds to rant
My dude, please
The point about cassablanca, which you brought up (being it propaganda or not) is that it is a romantic drama. Whatever the setting is I do not know.
This is england is a drama ABOUT the culture of England (hence the title) WITHIN the time period, 1980s (early 80s)
So any events it is showing, which it shows the more important events and cultures of that period, is because it is literally trying to accurately portray the culture, given within the movies (story) parameters.
Again, the movie is literally about the culture.
Again too why the subsequent TV series follow ups are again following the characters in the cultures and time periods of the time the series are set in.
triggered
Shitposting means triggered
Carry on showing us how much of a retard you are.
Why do you think I am even here....
Fucking retard.
Nobody cares about you faggots, you just shitpost low quality shit. I filter your faggorty and never even really see anything of it because you fags are just parrots. Parrots of each other just being a bunch of tranny loving faggot freaks.
You don't even engage with anon, your entire purpose here is to try and "destroy anon" because you are butthurt and salty you cant even create a culture of your own, so all you golems can do is get together, watch BBC pron together, fab to trannys together and shit up boards on Anon Babble.
Because you are fucking jealous pf anon to the point of being innately "triggered" so much you actively go to another site to try and spoil their culture. But by being a retard, you never know that it is impossible to do because all you are doing is pissing in an ocean of piss.
Again, KILL YOURSELF.
Do the entire world a favour, especially your parents, who are clearly disappointed in you and wished you had been aborted or killed yourself before you trooned out and embarrassed them to their peers by being a defective sexual deviant that only then signifies their lack of parenting skills.
I met a girl who's working with Shane Meadows on his next project that isn't even announced yet. I'm pretty sure she broke NDA to tell me about it. She also said he has a reputation as an asshole in the industry.
Again, KILL YOURSELF.
I don't wanna
has a reputation as an asshole in the industry.
I actually would probably say this might be a thing because he has made some real KINO but has never hit it big. Unless he never tried.
Though at least the main characters of this is endland eager to do more of it.re always.
Actually has one of the best acting scenes I have ever scene coming from joe gilgan
I don't even know which dude that is but I think I know exactly which one you mean. When they meet after some time on the street and start arguing right?
I really liked everyone in the movie & series, it doesn't feel acted at all, just natural. The ending fucked me up for some time.
From the sounds of it this is the american equivalent to the movie you mention. I'm still mad that I let my gf at the time convince me to sit through this shit.
and doesn't have to go through a humilation ritual
He literally gets beaten to death by a gang of black guys.
is that it is a romantic drama
That's not all it is. Media literacy, unironically.
I explained the scene. It was chrismmas day, lol had tried an hero, so trev knocked on woodys door.
Not seen each other for ages...etc
I explained it well.
Its top tier acting.
*this WAS england
Actually a TV series instead of a film, but in the UK ITV produced a series about a jazz band of black guys who find some magical lift that sends them back in time, and the entire series is about them just having sex with white English women throughout history. There's even a weird subplot where a white 1920s scientist kidnaps black guys and forces them to have sex with white women in a breeding programme.
It sounds like something completely made up for bait - I wish it was.

Cant think if it is propaganda really as it has been a while since I watched it bit it is the more modern "faggy negroid zoomer" equivalent of the 90s "black" movies like menace 2 society and boys in the hood.
iirc they are all drug dealers or some shit but 1 is super smart, girl is a leso the jeet is a math whizz.
Some shit like that.
Was actually an OK movie though.
Media literacy
article says america never had propaganda until...
Ironic....
You are missing the point completely too.
Even more irony.
You'll be shocked to learn I didn't write that article. Take any corrections up with the author.
Wow I'm a retard, I just stopped reading right there and replied then forgot to continue reading. I remember that scene, that guy is truly great at acting.
And I can't resist mentioning how much I wanted to fuck Shaun's mom in the series. Holy fuck I love women with that look.
So what is the opposite of literacy?
Yet you didn't read propaganda (the article) then implying I "lack media literacy" because I don't know the story or subject or reason for the creation of a movie I would have sparingly seen on TV as a sub double digit child, probably over 3 decades ago of a movie that was made over 80 years ago.
Yet somehow "I" lack media literacy.
Yes, Ironic. Maybe I lack "media literacy" of movies made close to a century ago in country I don't care about and vehemently despise. Yet you lack actual literacy, the ability to read or comprehend concepts...
Shaun's mom
yeah I know what you mean, A certain phenotype.
I knew a woman like her, similar phenotype and character when i was young as well as a girl like her when i was young (but had a wonky eye)
Very gregarious and firm, strong woman.
She was also in dead mans shoes, another medows movie. Just a smaller part though.
This is England
British working class life is rotten and best escaped from
Whilst I agree with the sentiment because of my own prejudice, it seems that the working class are continuously battered with the middle class's media cudgel into being ashamed of any expression of pride in their national identity, except when they are depicted as the warm and welcoming salt of the earth types who throw their communities, and hearts, open to incoming foreigners.
You do realise the film clearly has opinions on things besides stuff that can only been seen through the lens of 80’s culture.
...would
What must it be like watching films and not noticing anything other than the most shallow details about where and when it is set?
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner is just about some people having dinner in the 1960s
Stepford Wives is just about some guys in the 1970s who make robots
Get Out is just about some guys in the 2010s being turned into robots
Casablanca is just a love story set in Morocco in the early 1940s
This Is England is just a coming of age film about a British kid in the 1980s
it's almost impressive. The perfect consumer.

I dont know any of these movies but lets just check the first (wiki)
A romantic drama.
Sure so a romantic drama, So you would expect...romance in it, and drama in it.
Maybe the drama randomly is based around le nazis as a backdrop of the story right, and le nazis are bad propaganda is shoved in.
Sure ok.
But when a movie is a drama ABOUT CULTURE OF A NATION OVER A DECADE.
Why would you think depicting culture of a nation of a decade is propaganda....
if the movie was about the culture of 1940s gernany, does that automatically mean it is propaganda.
If a movie is a drama about the culture of england in 1980s and it shows and explains events and the culture of the decade...is that propaganda.
You sound like a complete. And I mean this literally, complete low INT retard.
Like you cannot even comprehend what IS and IS NOT propaganda, probably do not even know what propaganda is (means you would be influenced by it easily) and your opinions of the world has been shaped by Anon Babble (most likely) which is ironically....complete fucking propaganda (in most threads in most cases) that you cannot see the wood from the trees.
I.e cannot see that the things you are experiencing are coming from your own mind.
A version of "selective hearing" that low INT people often suffer from.
So in this case. See english/white nationalism means propaganda see falklands war footage, propaganda so a white guy beat up a black kid, propaganda, see people pissed off their lives are shit and they are poor, propaganda. Despite that is exactly what happened in the 1980s in england....it's still propaganda.
Retard
SHUT A GOB NOW A BLEEDIN MUPPET GOBSHITTE, I'LL DECK YE AND KNICK YA, LEAVE YA SKINT, NO GRASSIN LAD
anyone can see that a non homogenous, multi racial, national and cultural "nation" makes a weaker nation.
Even the ancient Greeks knew that.
Of course, its completely logical.
Say you are greek and your peers were like ohhh we are gonna conquer greece, but...you are living in rome....you will not agree, most likely imprisoned or executed for insurrection.
Now in modern times if you have 14% of your population muslim (for example) and a war is to begin with an islamic country, these muslims wont go to war and will, in turn weakening your ranks and will subsequently become enemies "INSIDE" the gates...
So you are then fighting a war on the home front, instantly, and the worse type of war, Insurrection, (guerrilla war).
The ONLY way to deal with it is to imprison or execute the dissent (deportation just refills the ranks of the enemies)
Non homogenous societies are like this.
More peaceful they are more singular race, religion and culture they are.
