I cried

I cried.

I came.

I laughed.

I went to a Christian high school and we went on a field trip to Muvico to see this. Some of the seniors dipped out of this to see Eurotrip. I believe in God and everything but i think they made the right choice.

I also remember my Science teacher telling us not to go see Kill Bill Vol 1 and see Passion instead. I didnt listen to him and saw Kill Bill Vol 1. I made the right choice that weekend.

Jesus wept

I do not care for Passion from a religious perspective but the gore is kino. Mel does gory violence really well, I wish he would do a slasher or something.

What do you think The Passion of the Christ 2: Jesus' Revenge is?

I'm looking forward to it.

Mel describes it as an “acid trip”

Mentions exploring “other realms” like hell

Hints at depicting the Harrowing of Hell, Jesus triumphing over Satan

Talks non-linear narrative, spanning the fall of angels to the last apostle’s death

Mentions two scripts: one grounded, one extremely bold

Calls it philosophical, not sentimental, with striking visuals

Says it focuses on the three days between crucifixion and resurrection

Notes using CGI, including de-aging Jim Caviezel

Confirms filming planned for August 2025 in Rome

CHRIST KINO IS BACK ON THE MENU BROTHERS

danny devito gif "oh my god, i get it"

Don’t tell me he dies at the end
PLEASE

Tears of joy seeing a Jew executed?

kek. But its a testament to Mels filmmaking that he can tell a story that everyone already knows and still make you emotionally invested, if not tear up.

Anon do I have some good news for you...

It's relentlessly brutal, but someone who's a horror fan I realized it was literally the same thing, but just throw a religious cover over it and it's considered profound and important

Art vs. Pontias Pilate crossover when??

It's Pontiac Pilot, moran

Pontiac doesn't make the Pilot, Honda does.

I'm so familiar with the gore and the story that it makes me sad but what makes me cry is when Mary tries to run to Jesus and she keeps falling over and can barely get to him. That's her boy, it's so sad.

First time I saw it I was alone with headphones on and then there was that fucking Judas under the bridge demon jumpscare and I didn't fucking expect that at all from a Jesus movie. Literally tossed my headphones off from jumping

I'm surprised the jews are the most offended by this movie. It clearly portrays the Roman soldiers as cartoonishly brutal.

pagans were brutal

Where's Passion of the Christ 2, Mel?!

t. Chudius Pizza

cinematography sucked

act structure is fucked up

scenes go on and on forever

feels like an indie movie

Mad Mel could’ve done better

satan is androgenous

what did Mel mean by this

wrong on all accounts
wtf is wrong with you (besides all accounts)?

Makes sense. Why would angels, demons or God have a gender? Also Lucifer/Satan took many forms in the Bible and in one passage was said to be beautiful.

Would you still have cried if he was just a nice Jewish fellow and not the son of god?
