Interned at a "consulting firm," where we sold stuff to people. I remember seeing posters for a scam energy company, which I would later be tasked with creating marketing materials for.
I had never heard of them until that point so I searched them up, and from the online reviews it seemed they targeted immigrants and the elderly. The reviews also said you had done any business with "consultants" advertising some other deal (e.g. government phones) they will use your info to sign you up for those scam utility companies. I told my co-workers (other interns) but nobody cared because they were in it for the money.
