I don't mind superheroes with no kill rules, but why do writers always have to go full retard with it? Like, DD is catholic so just have him refuse to kill his enemies because thou shalt not kill, there, now you can keep milking the same villains over and over.
But nonono, they barely touch on his catholicism to instead go "we have to prove the system works!" and also have a bunch of other grown adult characters like Karen and Foggy acting like killing superpsychopaths like Fisk is unthinkable. But then when the plot demands it, killing can be ok. The Punisher can't kill the gunmen that came after him and DD, otherwise DD is going to jump in front of the bullet. But when Nadeem and DD are getting attacked on the way to the courthouse, DD tells him where to shoot to kill the hitmen.

Aside from the over use of slo mo in a certain fight scene, nonsensical writing with Punisher and licensed music that serves no real purpose it was a fine episode. A terrible finale though. It was mainly just setup for next season which was to be expected, they did only have 3 original episodes to work with after all.

No it's garbage. Matt and Frank just fight in Matt's apartment, where other people live, when they could've just left. Radically out of character for both. The mass amounts of blatant cgi blood, shit slow motion, laughable adr lines, and awful lighting also ruin that whole entire scene. None of this show is good or even worth a single torrent at all. D'Onfrio is pushing 70 so they'll definitely have to retire the character permanently soon. I think they should have him fight Spider-Man at least once in a movie (maybe the next one) and then bring him back in a series for a final showdown against either Daredevil or Punisher (perhaps both). Either have the Punisher kill him or throw him in the Raft forever with no chance of ever leaving. Kill Vanessa to make it extra satisfying. Either way, the character has almost ran his course now.

There's a teaser where he's wandering the wasteland and runs into a bunch of orphans and he starts leading them into the sunset.

To be fair Kingpin is one of those characters that pops up in a lot of stories with a lot of characters. Pretty much any street level NYC based cape in marvel has to deal with kingpin's shit as they police their territory.
I think he's also a good villain because he's not some kind of global threat (usually), or wants to take over the world, he's just a really good criminal, and the kind of hard bastard that has had to take over the underworld a half dozen times from scratch, a few times he even got the heroes looking the other way because he did a better job keeping the underworld in check than they did.
Last I heard of kingpin doing anything he had married typhoid mary, and got immunity on krakoa, and eventually ended up becoming the white king of the hellfire club to keep sebastian shaw, who had turned traitor surprise nigga! and he kept a bunch of resources from helping to exterminate mutant kind... again.

They could be setting up Michael Gandolfini for a new Kingpin role.

The current big cross-title arc happening this year in Marvel is Dr. Doom (after becoming sorcerer supreme of earth) has taken over the world, and is generally doing a really good job and most people are OK with it, and the heroes don't really know what to fucking do.
The only real spiderman news I know of is another #1 Spectacular spiderman with a new enemy.
Miles Morales is about to cross over to the new ultimate universe (which currently has a peter parker who got his powers after he was married to MJ and has 2 kids, which is their best selling title).

The new ultimate run has been pretty neat.
The maker, the guy from the original Ultimate run who survived his universe's destruction (along with miles morales).
He broke out of jail, and decided to go find his own universe, with black jack, and hookers. He goes through history to stop various people from getting their powers. (keeping steve rogers on ice, snatching the spider before it could bite peter, turn charles xavier into a lobotimized brain in a jar.
He takes over the world, and the heroes he couldn't stop from existing he puts under his own control.
He finds the hulk, and sends him to K'un-Lun to get control of his anger, while becoming the new iron fist, and his top henchman.
Colossus and Illyana are on his side too, and basically run russia and most of asia.
Iron man's dad finds out he's working for the maker, has a crisis of consciousness, and tries to betray the maker when they go to find kang's time machine only to find out this kang is tony stark, iron lad, from the future who fucked up the maker's time machine and will put him in stasis for a few years to buy the time for current iron-lad to try to re-power as many people as he could to take back as much of the world as they could to prepare for when the maker pops out of the hyperbolic time chamber.
After the maker broke out of jail but before he dipped to another universe he offered miles a chance to come with him, since they're both from the same universe. He turns him down, but the tease is miles going after the maker, and there's going to be another big incursion to close out the new ultimate line.
Read "The Ultimates" by Hickman, its a nice neat little one shot that sets it all up. Even if you don't read anything else its at least kind of interesting to see the twists. Infinitely better than the Millar Ultimates run in the 00's, which was just dipshittery.
