all rpgs have optional sidequests you kinda need to do to for gold or xp, that is nothing new or different.
but this is the first non-open world rpg I have replayed because the "vibe" was so different. even failing was interesting.
I am not saying it is the greatest game ever, but it is distinct and creative and that is just refreshing between the 27th high fantasy and the 3rd cyberpunk rpg of the year.

I never played the beta version, but I'm pretty sure she's been replaced by some other Dasha clone, either way, Disco is embarrasingly overrated, mostly because the gameplay is non-existent

You can beat the game without even looking at the body. The only mandatory parts are meeting evrart, getting klassje’s confession, finding ruby, and the tribunal

in those RPGs, you have fun along the way, you laugh, you find out things about the world that aid your understanding of the world, you can make meaningful impacts that reverberate, in this game you are pushed towards the crap which turns out to be completely irrelevant.
