It’s like you’re nitpicking for any minuscule reason to complain about shit and call it woke or something along those lines that you pick out this tiny inconsequential detail and go “oh Mike Judge is on the woke train now too” which is just kind of absurd. It’s such a non-point in the grand scheme of the show that it’s basically not even mentioned more than one single time which actually lends itself to furthering the plot because the mycologist chick stands her up for a date which is a plot point that makes more sense for being there when it’s explained why later on in the season. Look I hate this bizarre, near fetish like over-representation of gays and minorities in almost every single piece of media these days too but this ain’t one of those shows. She’s not a girl boss by any means, in fact in the last few episodes she’s shown to be extremely naive as to what her position and purpise in the DEA is which leads her to make poor decisions where she’s shown to be in the wrong.

Naysayers btfo, one of my favorite things about this show is how unreasonably angry it makes ASSOOMERS who have never seen it, will never see it, have no clue what it’s actually about, but feel the insatiable need to tell you all about its flaws as if it’s a show about getting high kek

That is one gay ass statement to be sure but hey I’m happy they got renewed, the show has a lot of potential to go off in even crazier directions so that’s cool. I just hope they don’t slow the pace of it to stretch it further because one thing I really like about it is how rapidly the plot progresses but is still fleshed out in a way you’re able to follow it easily and don’t feel like you’re missing out on a bunch of stuff, it’s just a lot of new things happening so quick.

It’s about a mushroom that cures literally everything including mortal wounds and terminal illness. The government as well as pharmaceutical companies want to squash it because it’s too OP of a miracle cure for everything and the dude who discovered it is in huge danger and on the run. That’s basically the gist of it
Oh and it’s alluded to that there might be some crazy ass side effects because nobody has tested it over the long term, they just take it to not die in the moment without knowing exactly what it’s doing to their body

I for one think if they have more interesting plot lines to explore then great, they should. If the show stalls out quality wise and starts dragging its feet then yeah you’d be correct but that remains to be seen.

the peaks of the writing are excellent but it falls way too often to really generic plot contrivances
the fugu poison escape was such a fucking hack moment, convenient prison escape and everyone assumes marshall is dead
same with the latest episode cliffhanger, its pretty clear marshall wont die so theres no tension but it also very conveniently distances him from the wacko raid thats about to happen, and it all happened cus despite everything he has gone thru, being chased by ABC agencies, government, mercenariesn and has had to fake his own death, he trusted a person who tried to kill him once already

its very close to being excellent but it drops the ball hard at times, i really hope they had the entire plot planned out from the start cus i have a creeping suspicion s2 is just gonna introduce more of everything without offering any kinda resolution

I must admit; it's a pretty good show. The animation style is kinda strange, but the voice acting is great, and the dialog is solid. The plot is kinda silly, but overall it's engaging.

You know it's going to fail when even legitimate concerns are called out by these fucking shills. Done a great job making everyone hate this show regardless of quality
