Imagine going through your whole life looking like that

This is the final shot of the first season and they hold on it forever before rolling credits.

Kino

Skinner is literally me

STAY ON YOUR OWN PLANET MOTHERFUCKERS

maybe s1-s3 Skinner but after that he's a total cuck

I was just thinking about this episode and wondering where the jim rose circus guys are now

EY, I'M FLOATIN' HERE

Okay, what is the meaning of this?

that episode scared the frick out of me as a kid

For me it's Beyond The Sea

GOOLD?

She’s only 31 you sick fuck!

IMG_5137.jpg - 749x831, 195.23K

never realized this was major briggs from twin peaks.

i think about clyde buckmans final repose often

i think about clyde buckmans final repose often

Same. One of the best episodes ever made

his vision that he narrates to scully about his death and the fulfillment of it at the end of the episode absolutely fucking gets me

I'm watching X Files for the first time. Just finished Dod Kalm, shit was so cash.

Imagine!

skinner was pure bossman kino
is there any character in modern times like him?

The next episode (Humbug) is the best. You're in for extreme kino.

Why'd he do it?

skin man.jpg - 1400x700, 175.47K

mfw its a boring government conspiracy episode and not a cool ass fuckin alien episode

OIP (7).jpg - 474x347, 18.09K

What gets me is the whole “how can you see the future if it hasn’t been already written?”
“Now you’re getting it”

As of this moment I’m authorising complete and Total Wraith Death

IMG_9757.jpg - 1242x818, 874.26K

Wonder why that is

IMG_5138.jpg - 750x594, 192.56K

he claims to have been abducted by a strange bipedal race of humanoids with hooked noses and protuding forelocks

he awoke several hours later with no clothes and no foreskin

Take it easy, we're not making a western here

zoomer here, even with all the praise this series has i didn't expect it to be this good, currently at the end of s3 and it's definitely above Sopranos, even if the conspiracy story never goes anywhere

Powerful

He's also anti-Canadian

Last fall, Duchovny sparked a media furore by complaining to a late-night TV talk-show host about Vancouver's incessant rain. He says those remarks were made in jest and taken out of context by some members of the Vancouver media.

It doesn't matter that he's since said repeatedly the reason he would like to see production of the show moved to Los Angeles is to be with his wife of nine months, sitcom star Tea Leoni. Hardly a day goes by that a stranger doesn't walk up to him and offer some snide remark about the weather.

The untold story, Duchovny says, is that he never imagined he'd be in Vancouver for five years when he got involved in The X-Files.

"There is something I've never discussed in public or in the media, which is basically that, in the beginning, I came up here thinking I'd be up here for three weeks shooting a pilot. I was told just the pilot would shoot up here. And then I was told just the first year would shoot up here. And then maybe the first three years would shoot up here. And then the first five years would shoot up here.

"It's gone from being three weeks to five years, and there was never a decision that I made, as an actor living in Los Angeles, to be away from home so long," Duchovny says.

"However lovely this city is, and however wonderful the people have been, and however talented the crew that works here, and however perfect the city is for The X-Files, that hasn't really figured into the personal dislocation that I've felt.

wtf do women really date twice their age?

He's also anti-Canadian

Based. Balances out the Jewish shit. Fuck Canada.

soon you will be dead, and i will laugh and take a piss on your grave you boomer fuck

I lost respect for him when I was him

Hi David. I saw you perform twice in Vancouver. You put on a good show.

Yes, and then they give birth to autistic, genetically deformed children as a result of these unions

Women only care about money and power. He’s got money and is a celb. He wouldn’t be getting a 31 year hottie if he was a garbage man in a single apartment

This show is my favorite despite its flaws. So many memories of seeing it when it originally aired as a kid in the 90s. Season 1 is still my favorite. It’s not the best season but so raw with pure 90s feels. Mark Snow’s music like this
m.youtube.com/watch?v=JixoIauqpZM

Oh shit The Arm is in this one. Half of Twin Peaks is in this show.

He’s a total self absorbed elitist asshole. He always talks about how proud he is to be a New Yorker, they have shittier weather than Vancouver BC. And lives in LA for decades not New York.

Hawk from TP is in the season 1 episode shapes too

Dr. Scully, I'm FBI.

lol, looks like the photo is moments before skinner falls

some personal favorite episodes

Piper Maru and the one after it (I like WW2 aliens)

Tempus Fugit and Max (if you like the rehearsal season 2 you will like these, good abduction scene)

Arcadia (scully waifu, evil HOA)

Jose Chung (feat. jesse venture and alex trebek, one of the consensus best episodes)

the one where mulder "dies" and indians revive him and he has this out of body narration/vision. basically the indian/najavo episodes are kino

Pilot (scully in bra and panties, maximum sovl)

Was he considered to be a "good looking actor" when this show first started running?

Don't forget that the movie goes between seasons 5 and 6

i think about clyde buckmans final repose often

The best episode of the whole series.

Weirdly enough, yes, even though he has a deformed face.

There really was nothing comparable to watching the X-Files Friday nights back when I was in high school. As season 1 got going and it got popular, a bunch of my friends and I would get together at someone's house and watch it every Friday night all through high school. Seasons 1-5 was just absolutely Kino TV. 6 and 7 were ok, and then when DD left it became a shell of of it's former self.

its not nearly as good but i also think about DPO. also those visuals on the crt in ghost in the machine

and then when DD left it became a shell of of it's former self.

Seasons 8 and 9 are still more authentic X-Files than the horrible revival seasons.

Yeah revival was terrible as well. Like I honestly wished I never watched them. Just like Picard, I hate that I watched that show and it's now in my memory.

the indian/najavo episodes are kino

indeed, for me it's the episodes that takes place in a forest or a boat, very comfy
thanks for the reminder

Picard

I never watched that shit. My memories are pure and untainted :)

is Twin Peaks the return the same or actually good. i dont want to be disappointed i love lynch

seasons 1-5 = perfect kino of its era, instantly memorable and re-watchable. Filled with the greatest episodes motw and mytharc.
Season 6 is watchable, not as great but still plenty of good episodes.
Season 7 was the beginning of the end, 8-9 aren't awful but they are definitely well past the prime of the show and skippable.

Then that awful reboot from the 2010s, what was the point of that? They brought it back and didn't really resolve anything, it was a pointless exercise.

and now, they're rebooting it again. Why? What ever happened to the Aliens plan, what was even the point of any of it? Chris Carter is still a hack, he didn't have any actual plan for the story of the series and completely flubbed it. Honestly as soon as they wiped out the syndicate and stopped the black oil / alien bounty hunters storyline is when the entire series went to shit. They had all these interesting parts that could have went somewhere interesting but they never did anything with it, and the show really suffered once the aliens invasion / colonization stopped being what Mulder and Scully were investigating.

Truth

esthernairn.jpg - 500x281, 22.2K

Just make sure you watch Fire Walk With Me before the return or you'll be very confused

I can "fix" her

thanks! i did read the diary after season 1 that shit was actually difficult to read. excited to see laura though

What sucks about X-Files's mystery box is that it would have been so easy to just map out the nature of the aliens and their plan, but Chris Carter decided not to for no reason.

as of this moment I'm officially requesting that I be involved in some action scenes for no good reason

as of this moment I want to have a shirtless scene which feels really out of place.

as of this moment I'll be talking slowly about the masked magician and then commenting on the attractive women that you can already see with your own eyes

as of this moment I turn out to be a bit lame but at least I'm consistent - p.s. deepthroat was the best and the X guy was just a permanently angry turd

can someone post photos from the photoshoot of Gilian Anderson in the purple suit, it awakened something in me as a teenage lad

She's already perfect, Frohicke

Agent Anon you are out of line

That was one of the better episodes of that season

it's a religious episode

ARN.webm - 960x540, 1.99M

seeing how retarded the government reacted to covid forever ruined my ability to buy into conspiracy storylines. which is sad because the xfiles was one of the only decent ones in TV

I'm nearing the end of my first watch through I'm at s10, what the fuck were they thinking with that first episode?

Dude Mulder the aliens aren't real lmao we made it all up it was just the government using alien tech!!!

Absolutely retarded, at least the 2 monster of the weeks after it have been decent.

Yes very good. We're completely incompetent. Don't you worry your pretty little head about any grand conspiracies or anything like that.

cia nigger.jpg - 1135x935, 96.91K

A wild Covarrubias appears!

marita.jpg - 610x573, 44.06K

This is the final shot of the first season

its also the final shot of the pilot
and its kino

Wonder what Coogler's X-Files will be like. It can't be all urban with a hip-hop soundtrack, though I'm sure there'll be some of that. The X-Files was pretty big internationally (even the awful revival seasons had decent ratings worldwide), he can't make the show JUST about the African American experience.

In any case, I don't expect it to fare much better than Peele's Twilight Zone.

currently at the end of s3

enjoy it while it lasts, you got 2 more kino seasons before the show goes to shit

what was the point of her character?

I think you meant the N-Files, right Skinner? You must have, unless you are a racist. You are not a racist, are you?

FUCK literally everything in season 1 is so fucking good
holy shit
it might be the best first season of tv in history

In 1993, Massee portrayed the character Funboy in the film The Crow, starring Brandon Lee. Massee was the actor who fired the shot that accidentally killed Lee on the set, as the result of an improperly prepared prop gun. Traumatized by the event, he returned to New York and took a year off from acting, and never saw the film. In an interview in 2005, 12 years after the incident, Massee said that he still had nightmares about it, stating, "I don't think you ever get over something like that"

Season 8 is better than 7, but not by much. Outside of X-Cops, season 7 doesn't have a truly great episode, the mythology is laughable, and it includes two of the absolute worst eps ever (Fight Club and First Person Shooter). That's without going into how Duchovny is phoning it in for the entire season.

The character X serves as a replacement for Deep Throat, eventually being replaced himself by Marita Covarrubias.

Like even the cheesy episodes in season 1 or when they had bad guest actors, they still had Kino moments throughout them.

First Person Shooter

that episode where you die from having sex with trannies

Hollywood_AD.png - 500x281, 210.05K

season 7 has plenty of good ones.

Hungry

Rush

The Goldberg Variation

Theef

Chimera

Je Souhaite

also how can you talk about bad episodes and not mention "all things"?

theef.jpg - 1920x1080, 1.31M

I think Folie a Deux is my favorite episode.

I like the part where Mulder gets ass raped in the asylum

Somehow I missed that part. Guess it calls for a rewatch.

new york used to be the best city in the world before it went pozzed

Caius Cosades?

i'm listening.

Skinner.png - 880x764, 798.56K

Fight Club

Terrible episode, yes. But it has the Lone Gunmen therefore it cannot be bad.

12874239852.jpg - 1920x1080, 238.75K

That episode is such a breath of fresh air. My custom playlist has only maybe half of the episodes in seasons 4 and 5, but I love Folie a Deux. One of my all time favorites.

I'm almost a decade older than Anderson was when she started acting in this show

she still looks old to me

rewatching this series is a trip, it's kinda depressing to be reminded of how different the 90's were compared to today

elaborate, I don't get it

I remember laughing when I watched this because the NASA guy just downs an entire bottle of vodka the second he gets home
I actually like the early myth episodes a lot, but the hey man nice shot scene I remember really standing out to me.

Mr x was cool as fuck dude

bald

glasses

ugly

still extremely confident and jumped at any chance to take his shirt off

how do I embrace the boomer look without shame?

Stop jerking off if you want to be confident like Skinner

at the center of the pentagon there is a memorial plaque dedicated to the sailors of the u.s.s. liberty. true story.

believe it or nor Gillian Anderson somehow has ONLY gotten hotter as she's gotten older,
somebody post that recent pic of her on the balcony please

lick.gif - 498x498, 2.63M

also forgot

marries the smoking hot body double for Scully despite being 14 years older than her

dude is a gigachad in an incel body

Look at his body, he’s in amazing shape for his age. He also has solid facial aesthetics.

it shows how deep inside the pentagon this shit is coming from

incel body

wasn't he decently fit though? I know he looked like a bit of a dork

i always thought this was the most beautiful woman when i was like 14

That is exact location where the 9/11 muzzies hit

She didn't deserve the black oil

I looked into this once and I don't think it is. I THINK it's top left but it's hard to tell because most maps of the pentagon are all of different angles.

Those episodes are meh. 'all things' gets a pass from me for showing Scully as being a homewrecker in her youth. I was of how the main crew of writers wrote Scully to be some flawless saint. Don't get me wrong, it's not a good episode, but it gets points for trying something different.

Deep down, I know Je Souhaite is a well-written Vince Gilligan episode, but a genie that grants wishes is just too silly for the show.

I also kinda liked En Ami, until it was retroactively ruined in the revival seasons.

I'll check the Lone Gunmen DVD. They did call the thing six months early.

Funny enough Alex Jones called it in advance too. He even mentioned Bin Laden by name. Too bad they got to him eventually.
