Why is this movie in my top 5? I can't even explain why
Why is this movie in my top 5? I can't even explain why
Why the emphasis on the letter N?
I liked it more on rewatch
Same but I watched it in reverse and it made more sense
Strong technical aspects can give a film an inherent quality.
Peak midwit hopium fumes
You have only watched 5 movies
I dunno nigga you put it there
Because you have seen a total of 5 movies during your lifetime?
Came here to post this.
What happens to me with Tenet is that the idea behind the movie is incredibly good, it’s a combination of action and the supernatural like almost no other film has done, but even so it’s terribly bad because it ended up in the hands of someone who hates action movies and sees them as a lesser genre. That’s why the action scenes are awful because Nolan genuinely believes he can throw sand in our eyes by doing anything in reverse with practical effects, and the result is that the scenes are just as incomprehensible as the movie itself.
It’s an absolute tragedy a director saying, “Look, I’ve got the money, I want to make an action movie, but I hate action because it’s not as deep as what I really want to do, so here’s whatever.” A weird little soundtrack to keep you entertained too, and Robert Pattinson.
How poorly everything is done is directly proportional to what Nolan wanted to say with this movie which is basically nothing at all.
is it wrong to feel like i'd enjoy this movie more from the singular change of making the lead white instead of black, im not racist or anything i just can’t feel much immersion with a dark skinned man on screen for most of the film.
I really enjoyed it as well anon. But it takes watching it a few times too really get it, for me anyway. Still don't quite get why a reverse bullet would be so much more impactful but whatever. If you don't view it as a movie and just an interesting thought puzzle it's really cool. Yeah yeah I know "muh just turn off your brain" but it in this case it is really the only way to view it. It's even in the dialog, don't try to understand it, just feel it.
wont change how you’re a piss poor troll, no.
hey but least you have discord twitter and Anon Babble
Nolan fucked up the casting for this and I don't know why, would be so much better off if Pattinson and Washington were swapped.
I mean why not make the lead the leading man everybody likes already? Would have made it so much more popular if Pattinson was on all the posters and marketing. Very dumb on his part.
WHY CANT WE GET MORE MOVIES LIKE this instead of the capeshit
It's probably Nolan's most technically impressive film. It's very clever and has a lot of interesting details.
But it's also his movie with the least meaningful story and almost zero emotional impact. "Russians and climate change bad" yes we know Christopher. "simping and cucking good" uh, ok.
ESG is why
what is esg
I still can't tell if Denzel's son is a bad actor or his character was intentionally supposed to be as flat and boring as possible.
if you think for about two seconds this movie makes no actual fucking sense even for its own rules
It's because everything is backwards in Tenet, so it's actually in your bottom 5.
Just a terrible actor.
ponderous
I didn't even realize he was black
Does he talk black?
No
Does he act black?
No
Does he dress black?
No
n tropy
You could say their roles were... reversed
Thanks Carlos.
He was clearly thinking about the whole movie backwards even the casting. Poor guy.
Me too. I can't explain it, but I love the idea of the movie more than the movie itself. But some scenes are genuinely great, like the plane heist.
Why is this movie in my top 5? I can't even explain why
I've never felt this way. This is the argument they make for putting black people in movies. I never bought it.
I just love Nolan's cinematography, his choice of locations (brutalist architecture), his autistic focus on special ops teams and medical equipment. Idk, he's an auteur and I vibe with his vibe.
temporal pincer
This phrase alone secured it as a top 5 of all time movie form e.
Get fucking SATOR'd.
thats cause you probably arent white
What are you talking about? The argument for putting black people in movies was always bullshit. "I never saw people like me on tv when I grew up." No one thinks that way. I've never seen a brown person on a screen and was unable to connect to it. I'm intelligent enough to realize the person on screen isn't me.
dont act like what i said wasnt relevant, it is.
its also not an "argument", its just how people have, and continue to feel. why do you think black and brown people are so uppity about getting representation in everything? they too lack the ability to immerse in the white man's content starring the white man, the same goes for the reverse.
why do you think black and brown people are so uppity about getting representation in everything?
They aren't. That's been my point this whole time. That's what tv execs say, but it's a lie.
The enbrownification of movies and tv is a jewish agenda. it has nothing to do with identifying with people, anyone of sufficient intelligence can do that.
so youre just going ignore the masses of ppl online who do in fact feel this way and vocalize it day and night? you deny facts.
Those are golems who are too low iq to think correctly. They do as they are told.
this is a desperate cope
Well, since you self identify as one of those people, I am not surprised.
a white man wanting to watch white men in movies like the good old days is not the same as what the other side wants, or rather demands.
When you say it like that I can agree. But don't use their talking points.
You should watch The Creator.
It’s like a 4th dimensional conspiracy, this movie has a distinct moment where you suddenly want to persist in the setting just imagining what other shenanigans can occur with the premise or what’s in store for them the movie ends.
wat. how TF do you imagine shit when the movie is playing right in front of you... you have to watch the movie or you can't pay attention
