the main guy and the redneck are gay. They full on make out at the end.

I'm a foreigner and i don't understand exactly what tubi is.

I will watch your clown slasher now
Are they hot at least or is it some shitty twink

idk my gay friend thought they were hot so there's that

/gayhor/

historically gay genre

You're historically gay.

Just because Murnau and James Whale were homos doesn't make horror films a "historically gay genre".

implying you can have vampires without lesbians

How would that even work?

Nosferatu doesn't really have lesbians, but that does revert to the Murnau is gay problem

Are these the most boring witches/cult in cinema history? The only good scene was the satanic impregnation scene

images.jpg - 452x678, 35.01K

Tell me about this film anon. Is it the new Lowlifes.

How is rosemary babby formed

What are some good cults? I liked the one in Hereditary because there were some nice titties on those grannies. Made me so fucking horny. I think I have issues.

The best ones I can't say, because they part of twists.
The Conspiracy (2012) isn't bad.
People really like Kill List but I thought it was meh. Maybe it'd mean more on a rewatch now that I've consumed like a decade worth of schizo posting.

to the anon who rec'd Sunshine in a previous thread, putting it on now.

don't forget to tell us what you see

Be warned, it starts a bit boring,

Daisy Ridley due to star in an Australian zombie film "We Bury the Dead" in 2026. Why yes, it IS about overcoming grief.
And there's an NZ zombie film out now as well "Forgive Us All". No doubt it's about the same thing.

For those that haven't seen it yet don't watch the trailer for this. Basically shows the entire thing.

file.png - 718x1024, 583.73K

I would love to conduct a poll on the general public and find out who the fuck the people are that want to see the whole film in the trailer. Like what is the mindset.

Anyone know of an 80s movie where a man transforms into some kind of tall and extremely thin demon (only assuming demon because I think the scene was in a church)? Can’t remember anything else about it. Also may have been bursting from inside him rather than transforming but same deal.

Female homosexuality doesn't count as homosexuality and plus lesbians aren't real.

It doesn't matter wat the public 'says' they want.

The reality is that marketing studies are made, and trailers with a lot of shit going on get more butts in the seats. And that's what really matters. Show Business is a business.

Absolute state of /hor/.

Was it a comedy? Did he get cursed as a teen? Did he transform whenever he got horny?

normally the initial teaser and first trailer just introduces the title, actors and the general atmosphere with subsequent trailers showing more and more of the actual story and plot to entice people who are still on the fence about watching it
but i guess since it's a new ip with a relatively unknown director (he did two really good films before this: the loved ones and the devil's candy) they figure they had to skip the teaser and first trailer and jump right into spoiling the story beats and plot

it's by The Loved Ones director? huh I wasn't interested before but am more now.

it's kinda weird how he made that then sat on his ass for ~7 years to then come out with another really solid film
and feels the same with this one, been 10 years since devil's candy and now he comes out with this. if the pattern is real then this will also be a really solid film as well

kung fu movie incorporates horror elements

Making films must take it's toll, especially if you're trying to make them decent.
I'd guess they have another production type role and just beg producers until someone decides to fund it.

what kino?

checks out, don't think i've seen this many producers on a film like this before before

I liked Kill List's Dark Souls fight at least

Holy Flame of the Martial World (1983). There's a great fight scene with a zombie too

Impressive film making. Like before instant digital feedback you had to shoot all these quick shots and have a good idea what it was gonna look like once edited.

Fulci's Conquest is worth a watch for the same reason. Great film, also a great zombie fight in the middle of it.

The Shaw Brothers studio system was an amazing thing. They had it all down to a science.

Conquest looks like the weirdest dream, it feels so odd, atmospheric as fuck.

Are there any horror movies with hot black girls? Not ugly black girls, hot ones only. I don't like DEI stuff, I've just had some diabolical jungle fever lately. Thanks bros.

There was video assist back then. Fun fact: invented by Jerry Lewis.

Vivica A. Fox in Idle Hands. Then there's that lady that's in Rats and a couple other Mattei stuff, and there's that one that was in a few gialli, but i don't find her as attractive. This is all i could think of.

Escape Room. Best black cutie in the business.

Communism ruined Chinas culture and mythos.

queen of the damned maybe

Thanks!

Holy fuck how did i forget this. bro, watch Angel Heart asap, if you're suffering from diabolical jungle fever like you claim, Lisa Bonet in this film will make your dick explode.

kek

I'm going for it!

The movie was so raunchy that Bill Cosby called Lisa Bonet on the phone just to tell her how disappointed he was that she made such a sexy film after having played his daughter on The Cosby Show

Lemme guess 'its good because... its a classic, ok!"
The Ninth Gate is much better than Roseys Abortion - not only as a movie but also as an occult movie.

probably called her to see if she wanted to meet up for a drink

TBWP Festival Cut on BD got released

What do we think about this? It's just the original with more arguing, slightly longer interview section, and the house scene is a little longer.

Some say this was the final straw for Bill, he never saw women the same way afterwards.

Enjoy. Love that movie.
Is it /hor/ though? spoiler: i guess the ending does turn into a creature feature

All I remember is that I saved this anons comment to explain it because you need a degree in BlairWitchology.

Forgot to paste:

It's such a masterfuly constructed eerie psychological terror, its pacing builds the tension perfectly, creating a true sense of dread that just grows as it goes on and crosses into desperation, and then the payoff delivers completely. Mia Farrow as Rosemary has to be one of the best castings ever, the way she looks, her voice and behaviour makes you feel so much for her character every step of the way, it's very emotional and quite heartbreaking. The whole cast is great actually, Cassavetes was a better actor than he was a director. Haven't seen the Ninth Gate yet but i will soon.

The worst part is the hipocrisy.

Ninth Gate is very comfy. Great music too.

The Mr Vampire series is pretty fun as well.

Dead Talents Society is pretty enjoyable. It's sort of like Beetlejuice but with satire on showbizz.

Sunshine was good dudes. I could see how the no-fun critics wouldn't have liked it and where it went but the cast was stacked.
Only issue was the shitty outro music, wasn't really befitting of the enormity of it.

Not that anon but I watched Mr Vampire last October after someone here recced it and I enjoyed the dynamic between the master and his student. It's also pretty funny for an 80s Hong Kong flick.

Mia Farrow was great, but Mia Farrows acting ability is not what makes a good occult movie.

low budget B movie

spend most of the budget on a monster/alien/beast suit, prop or puppet

only ever show it for 5 minutes throughout the entire movie so they don't even get their moneys worth

I don't know shit about the production of movies, so can someone explain this frustrating phenomenon?

Can't be certain but it's hard to keep monsters scary once they're out and about. The buildup and fear of the unknown is more powerful to most people. Lots of times that's just the whole film and there's like 3 seconds of monster.

You seem austistically hung up on the subject matter.

I liked the daughter in Devil's Candy

That's funny because the guy in Hard Candy was pretty sexy

low budget B movie

spend most of the budget on showing (female) ass and titties

I kneel. Seems like it's getting rarer and rarer these days though.

Isn't he Conjuring Man?

Yes, but I'm talking about the other guy that's after him in Hard Candy.
