I can't be the only one who thoroughly enjoyed Andor S1, but finds the writing distractingly clumsy and contrived this season. The first week was great, but the rest of the show has been a sprint just to get these characters in place to align with Rogue One. I sympathize with their having to cut down from three or four seasons to one, but they really should have just done one long time skip and thus given the time we would then spend with the characters some time to breathe.

I mean, what have we really gotten? It feels like Andor's character arc is constantly looping. Every time we see him he's bitching about whatever mission he's on. Luthen is practically MIA, showing up in party scenes so the audience remembers he's still around. Bix's entire arc was crammed so tight that she spends 99% of it in a dingy apartment and then disappears because she wasn't in the movie. Besides Mon Mothma, Syril and Dedra's story feels like it was kept the most intact, but even then it's basically a Clif's Notes version of itself. I'm insanely Starcucked and I watch every piece of shit show Disney puts out, but I do not watch Andor to see Epic Moments in Star Wars History; I watch it for the character moments, which in my opinion are rather lacking here.

With LucasFilm Volume digital sets they should be capable of far more exposition in the run time (and pick up shots as required) than they manage. The Force Healer sequence was representatively inefficient.

Ghorman as a catalyst and Mothma as the real leader will change all that and transform the Rebellion into a real force. You can even see Luthen being all sad in the few scenes he's in because he too realizes that his time is over and he won't even get any real recognition for being the guy who did all the heavy lifting to make it happen. The exact same thing is shown with Cassian - he got Mothma out but they're not even giving him the courtesy of formally escorting her in, its all a political show now.
