He assumes that all sides that oppose him are as collectivized as the Identitarians he's a part of, when the reality is that his opposition is coming from numerous sides and viewpoints (i.e. arguably literally every side that ISN'T the Identitarians). Luna then even goes an illogical step further by insisting that not only are all the people that he doesn't like with views he doesn't like in the same, consolidated, ideologically-homogenized "group", but they're even the same, singular person. Singular people who apparently house two (or more) viewpoints/behaviors that Luna is opposed to simultaneously, despite those viewpoints/behaviors completely conflicting with each other and never being found to exist in the same group, let alone be present in the same individual & their world-view.

The result is that when Luna tries to Strawman his opposition it ends up being completely nonsensical & self-contradictory individual, like the American War-Veteran in this comic. I.e. people that Luna assert are not only real but a significant part of his lived-experience (and thus people you should care about, i.e. be angry at), when the reality is that people like that don't exist in the first place.

Case in point: Luna hates both White people who are unfriendly to Asians, as well as White men who marry Asian women. But he then combines these Boogiemen into ONE person, so his strawmen representing them becomes a nonsensical "Boogieman-Gestalt", i.e. the American War-Veteran.

The reality is that no man with racist feelings towards Asians would literally marry one, and nobody literally marrying an Asian would have racist feelings towards Asians.
Luna doesn't know this, because 1. He doesn't really every actually think about the things he believes, and 2. He has likely never even MET a White man that was genuinely racist towards Asians.

I don’t think it’s a super accurate poll. There’s a “don’t know” response to each cuisine that’s added to the tally of “people who have tried” but doesn’t count towards the “liked” percentage, meaning it’s directly dragging down the “liked” percentage and functions the same as someone saying they didn’t like the cuisine. Your point applies to a lot of comics that are written by people who understand what "satire" is and how to use it. Luna isn't one of those people.
"Caricature" only works if you are caricaturing something or someone that ACTUALLY exists. It's the same way with "Satire" as a genre: It falls flat if someone "satirizes" something that doesn't even exist outside of their own head (and thus isn't something audiences will be familiar with).

That's the problem with Luna's "caricatures": They aren't humorous exaggerations of people (and their beliefs) that we are all familiar with. They are people, exaggerated or not, that don't even exist in the first place, and beliefs that don't exist in the first place.
They don't exist because they are completely & inherently contradictory to each other and and would thus make no sense to for the same individual to hold them simultaneously.
