Backrooms edition
/hor/- horror general
bava
ep2 rough draft is almost complete. I have a storyboard in my head, just need to put it on paper and organize it.
coming soon
what is this an ad
What’s it about.
one more interesting sounding one
A world-class group of climbers is granted access to the Forbidden Wall, a mysterious rock wall previously closed for decades
I can't believe Anon Babble has been feeding ideas to Hollywood for no monetary compensation for over a decade.
We've literally been doing it >for free. We are the suckers. We are the jannies. The joke's on us.
took lots of inspo from the black phone and backrooms horror like the OP. literally just looking for filler that would be relevant to the plot since thats the majority of the episode.
Getting Trump elected twice has been worth its weight in gold in lib tears
this came from a random post on Anon Babble, imagine what other gold we have here
eh they're all artistic frauds and deep down they know it, I'd rather party here
looking through the assigned director's filmography there's 0% chance of it being good
do not click on this if weak of heart
genetic le scary face poster
not jist having a liminal shot of an enpty office room
Clearly no one got the point.
Smile 3: The Mongler
Boom
"villain" is only doing what he's told to do to in order to avoid being physically harmed himself
he's just as afraid of the "victims" as they are of him
It was over 50 years ago. When will he be forgiven?
Ow,my cock
Can’t wait for the Grinman movie
the youtube backrooms guy is writing/directing it
If caught alive, he'd just be sent to a psych hospital the rest of his life instead of prison.
That's not an official poster. Does the movie even exist? Maybe A24 realized that letting a kid who made what was essentially a machinima direct a movie was a dumb idea.
that's just some fake poster made by some designer trying to fluff their portfolio
the original Texas Chain Saw is not a good movie
It's a great movie!
Harper
on opposite day
This is nothing, Anon Babble solved a decades-old mathematical problem. At leadt the author of the paper was kind enough to cite "the anonymous poster of the Anon Babble Anon Babble board".
This is private property *WHACK*
You're violating the NAP *GACK!*
Castle Doctrine *UAAGH!!*
It's got an IMDb page but it was announced 2 years ago and there's been no updates since then. No cast, no release date, nada.
Has the "psychological" horror trend died off yet?
THE BACKWALLS
they're entering production soon with a release set somewhere in 2026 according to kane himself
psychological horror is almost as old as horror itself, you're closer to dying than the genre is
Seems like a waste of time to make a movie about a meme 3 years too late.
The only horror trend I see is fucking trauma-horror that has been going for 11 years now. AI-type shit though has been making a strong push, as has streamer/influencer horror movies.
it takes time to make a movie
you have to write a script you have to hire actors and crew, then you have to do the actual filming and post-production shit, that's easily 2~3 years just to make a single movie
especially when it's your first project made on a professional level
The new Return of the Living Dead movie is going to be a shallow, tone-deaf imitation of the most basic qualities of the original, and it will still have a horde of blind fans defending it in this general with the zeal of Terrifier fans
especially when it's your first project made on a professional level
A feature film shouldn't be anyone's first professional project.
it'll fit right in with all the other living dead sequels then
I mean this new trend where shit isn't even scary.
Would "The Substance" fit that description? It seemed to me that it's only scary to American women obsessed with/afraid of aging.
but it looks great
youtube.com
The Substance is just body-horror. Smile is typical trauma-horror.
American women obsessed with/afraid of aging
All women are afraid of aging. If anything it's bigger in East Asia with the amount of plastic surgery they have and how large the skincare industry is there. Even the dudes are wearing face masks there to help their skin.
super-serious Silent Night playing over cold, colorless visuals
no sudden break to punk music or DO YOU WANNA PARTAY
It's not even a teaser, it's a taunter. It's a slap in the face.
face coming out of wall
spooky soul kino
Everybody who hasn't found love is afraid of aging. It used to be that you'd be married and have 4 kids by the time you were 20. Now people fuck around and think they'll be ready for that in their 40s or so, but know that they get less attractive over time, and physical attraction is still the heart of love.
Yeah man
Maybe they got lost in the backrooms filming it
from the producers of Insidious and The Conjuring
I just watched Violence Voyager. Puppetry as a form of animation was really creative and cool. But the writing, jfc.
mfw monkey on the ceiling
finished Scream 1.
I can see why anons both loved and hated this. was probably the perfect time in the 90s for the meta stuff even though it had been done before. I appreciated it more now than when I saw it back then. Great characters though.
idk how Craven got to use all the Halloween soundtrack parts though I guess he got Carpenters blessing.
Saw some people talking about Storm of the Century a couple threads ago. Watched it and really liked it, thanks!
blammo
What episode of Friday the 13th(the t.v. show) was this? Or is it from Nightmare on Elm Street?
The real location is finally found
