Avoided this for decades. Watched it a few weekends ago finally. I went in expecting garbage but was pleasantly surprised at how not-garbage it is.
Once it gets going, it's decently paced. And it was nice to see the origin of the "vehicle hanging off a cliff while the people inside have to climb out" set-piece that's been ripped off in every movie/video game since then.
