Why are 90's movies so fucking good?

Why are 90's movies so fucking good?

I personally blame the jews.

No trannies
No woke shit
No women making decisions

Does T-2 count as a 90s movie? it came out right as Nirvana blew up.

Terminator 2 is such schlock. Dumb kid character, dumb tough female character. First one is much better, but even then, would rather watch a quality action flick like Hard Boiled. Infinitely rewatchable.

they did the thinking 1st and the shooting 2nd
"measure twice cut once"
with digital their sphincters relaxed and shit started dripping... or came gushing out after 2012 really

they had all that dude it was hollywood
only that we only know the tips of the icebergs (fortunately, I've seen some of the rest and it's utter crap... yet still looking better, sounding better, acted and directed better than today's AAA movies)

Hong Kong chink cast

No native English speak

While good in it's own right, these factors make it not valuable for comparison

No native English speak

all hong kong movies take place in ports and warehouses
I don't like T2 either (T1 is nice and one of a few movies shot at night, on film, that looks GOOD) but it had excellent settings and props...

excellent settings

Houses, a hospital, and a factory... oh, an a desert. So, same as Hard Boiled then minus one?

It was in the sweet spot of still being able to take creative risks and at a time before CG was proven and available.

human houses vs some chink shitholes

a factory is just like a port full of warehouses full of cardboard boxes dude

hospital was obviously built (and probably manned) by white people in both places

are you even trying

((Matrix)), being one of the most iconic movies of the 90s, was literally made by two trannies and it's straight up propaganda

Serious answer? Because Hollywood fucked up in the 50´s, lost the 60´s to a bunch of french guys with bare bones equipment and had to just trust authors starting on the mid 70´s.

There was one guy they didn´t trust though, because he was talking crazy. That guy was George Lucas. So it turns out George decided to do his thing anyways. To do his thing however he had to develop the technology to make it possible. He got one guy to trust him and went all in with his earnings from American Graffiti and ILM was born and that changed everything.

ILM was born to make SW but in order to keep the technology advancing, test stuff out and keep all the talent permanently employed he allowed his friends, like Spielberg, to make use of it. The company was so ahead of the curve that it made everything else look bad and cheap even though they were basically figuring things as they went themselves. But everyone was passionate about their respective areas, they were becoming experts and inventing tools along the way.

Seriously, look it up, you can trace the origins of non linear editing, photoshop, Jim Henson´s puppets and even Pixar technology to ILM. By the 90´s creative authors were pretty much given blank checks to realize their visions and they would all go to ILM, house of some of the most passionate artists, technicians and technological development. Truly a golden age.

It literally came out in the 90s as did Nirvana.

I remember it because my older bro got John Conners' haircut.

The cumulation of a century of film making knowledge, special effects and technology before standard cgi outsourced to shit countries and of course the internet's effect on social politics

this is currently free on samsungtv. watched it yesterday. kino

Daily reminder that the Switch character did not change gender in the Matrix, as originally planned.
There is no gender-swapping in the film, and literally no tranny propaganda. Also, you're a faggot.

Origin of the blue-orange filter? Before it was a filter.

except the directors literally trooned out

Hard Boiled and The Killer are S Tier. They are above the discussion.

Why didn't Adult John Conner tell T800 to not kill anyone? Was he that jaded by adulthood? Why didn't T800 kill

the bikers
before he was even given the "no-kill" directive?

Agreed.

yeah but it's clearly a hair metal movie, not a grunge one

as originally planned

retard

Based. I always link his videos in the shill threads here for The Matrix, Truman Show, The Whale, Once Upon a Time in the West, etc. I'm so sick of normies eating up this subversive slop.

I wanted to re-watched hardboiled but the DVD I have is dubbed online. In that typically bad Cantonese Kung Fu movie style.

I hate ((((hollywood)))) so much it's unreal

Talented fillmmakers, talented crews

I don't understand why people like T2, and I liked T1. I'm guessing its just americans being dumb.

hair metal movie, not a grunge one

Guns n Roses did the music they aren't grunge but still nailed the early 90's zeitgeist.

I liked the dub, it's funny, although takes away from the more serious biting dialogue moments.

why were so many of them orange and red?

why isn't that video on his "official" channel

not a grunge one

That'd be picrel.

His excuse is he's planning on redoing the ones he's removed, but more likely because he said some shit in hindsight wasn't wholly accurate.

Also movies were cheap yet profitable enough that they could take a risk with an original IP. True movie stars could fill theaters even with an original premise. Now everything needs a baked in fanbase we get another Superhero Team Up flick every two weeks.

Movies were either made for men (but had enough to get women to allow themselves to be dragged to them by their bfs) and vice versa

minimal to no CGI

shot on film

T2 looks so fucking lived in. I can't imagine how bland and fake it would look today.

can't imagine how bland and fake it would look today

Just watch any of the last films in the series to answer that. Also women can enjoy a quality film whether or not it's action. For example I like Fallen Angels and Before Sunset, despite not being a huge fan of romance movies.

dam
he should do one about dark city

Real sets and setpieces. Limited CGI.

wonder if T-2 had come like in 94-95, would it be darker and bleak? it came out during the peak of hair metal

It was a different time.

was being filmed during the same time

Correction, it started filming the year T2 came out but can't find out when exactly. It was written the year before in 1990, so I can only assume it was slightly before or after T2.

no irony

I can enjoy both things faggot.

when matrix came out they weren't mindbroken trannies yet

The signs were all there.
