The prequels sucked

Star Wars was so much better when you didn't exist.

Dropped my pic.

compare andor to ahsoka

filonifags throw a melty and get extremely pissed off with "andor elitism"

its hilarious how they acted elitist for the longest time and how "only filoni can save star wars" but as soon as the boot is on the other foot, they dont like it

She saved this franchise, lol

If you're brown and got oneshotted by porn in your youth, sure.

Ahsoka could have been saved had they hired a white girl like her VA
She is missing SOVL

It's really strange how people act like she was always this sort of important, integral part of Star Wars now, when you watch the films and there's literally never been a hint of her presence at all.

Who's Ahsoka.png - 740x470, 84.07K

True. Clone Wars 2003 and the surrounding multimedia were overall better. George’s only real mistake with Star Wars was rebooting it.

What's really hilarious is how Trandor fags think their slop is above Filoni's when it's just the other side of the same coin.

I was watching episode 3 on Saturday, there were several parts where I thought there’s no way that bitch could’ve existed.

Aside from giving Anakin a padawan in the first place, Lucas' biggest mistake was rolling over and letting Filoni keep her alive.

Star Wars has ALWAYS had retroactive continuity thoughever.

Updating the special effects ≠ introducing a new character that doesn't exist in the films and pretending she's deeply important to the overall main narrative

Lucas was basically out of the picture by that point though, right? The buyout had already happened by that time, iirc.

You know as well as I do this is not the same.

Makes sense, that whole season was in late 2012.
I would assume that Filoni kept some things from Lucas during production of that season, since he's said he's gone behind his back to do things.

this is the filonifag melty that was mentioned

white girl

I'm inclined to take every bit of Star Wars involvement post-RotS attributed to Lucas with a grain of salt. It's always portrayed as "Lucas said", "Lucas wanted", or "Because George", but it seems to me like most of the time he was just asked about something and gave a quick answer then went back to counting money. I don't think he was ever super involved with stuff like Filoni portrayed, more like he was just occasionally consulted or would peek in and give ideas that were then taken as gospel. Take the Force Unleashed names incident as an example of how the "word of George" stuff worked

went back to counting money

I think people also tend to forget he was making Crystal Skull and Red Tails at the same time, too.

It wouldn't be calling his shows slop if it was.

You don't have to think anything. We have extensive behind-the-scenes materials and hundreds of interviews on the series, including form Lucas himself, which extensively documented Lucas' involvement, all the way up until Season 8.

Take the Force Unleashed names incident

Lucas never considered videogames as a part of his story. Same with comics and books. Only the movies, The Clone Wars and live-action Underworld show - things that he actually personally created from the ground up - were a part of the narrative that he cared about and considered canon.

taking Lucas at his word when it constantly changes

No, I don't think I will.

If you watch the movies it makes less than zero sense. III hints at anakin and obi wan having a certain length of time together in the field but he's still treated as a talented but ultimately inexperienced kid. Him also having not only the time but the blessing of having this other young woman around him constantly is so strange. Padme would have been fuming

The reality is that TCW was a mistake and Lucas is a sellout. Who gives a shit what he says? If you do, you're simply retarded.

I mean it is indeed hard to miss Ahsoka & co barely get talked about at all in the context of her own show. Almost all the discussion centers around Baylan and Shin. Major miscast or something more, who knows.

>Updating the special effects ≠ introducing a new character that doesn't exist in the films

The second Star Wars movie retroactively made Darth Vader into Luke's father.

And?

Retroactively removed a character that existed previously.

Thankfully she is only present in low quality spinoffs and not in the main films

Anakin wasn't a character.

In the first movie, Darth Vader and Luke's father were distinct characters. Two characters. In the second movie, they are combined to be one character.

2 - 1 = 1 missing character.

Made to be captured and mind broken into a Sith lady

Anakin wasn't a character.

He was. Ben discusses him in the first movie.

That's not a character, that's a description.

A description of... a character.

removed

They fused, retard.

There were two characters, and then retroactively it was changed to be one character. That means one character was removed.

This is basic arithmetic.

No, just a description of Luke's father.

These aren't the same people

a1dn1c72in0b1.jpg - 1024x1024, 63.91K

And she was a good friend

That's a character. What, you think it's not a character unless depicted on screen? Stop being retarded.

A memory portrayed by another character isn't a character.

No, it means they were merged to be the same. The character of Luke's father as described by Ben didn't stop existing. He simply was folded into who Vader used to be before Anakin "died". The two exist simultaneously, the best starpilot in the galaxy and a cunning warrior, who later became a man seduced by the dark side.

One is a human actor the other isn't even real

TCW Anakin hardly even looks like Hayden, too. It kinda feels like they were trying to scrub the memory of him out of Star Wars for some reason.
I always preferred Hayden's Anakin.

When did Luke ever wear that? Sick fit, honestly.

Zoomers will defend this character and The Clone Wars show until the end of time.

It’s weird that they tried making him more charismatic and charming. In episode three I found him to be a decently nice dude. Even when the nightmares were starting up and the council was getting a bit standoffish, he seemed like a pretty decent guy.

I don’t think he ever did, from the look of it I’m guessing that was a promo photo from around the time of empire strikes back.

It's her husband's surname. He is a famous baseball player. German roots.

people actually think she would've been a perfect cast for live action Ahsoka

Yikes!

That's not really a fair comparison to be honest, as sith chicks are without fail the hottest characters in the series. She should be judged on the criteria of how she fleshes out Anakin as a character, by which she fails even harder as time better spent developing him is wasted on her and he retroactively looks even more shallow by his apparent complete amnesia of his charge for the duration of the war. This show should have just been an unrelated jedi with infrequent Anakin and Obiwan cameos for a perspective outside of theirs

she's done a cosplay of ahsoka before
its alright.

much better than mystery meat hagsoka

No

Both are shit.

Who played Ahsoka in the Clone Wars flashbacks?

She'd be based if there was an extended sequence of Ani plapping those orange buttcheeks and impregnating her

Literally Hayden just in animated form with those accentuated features style.
Btw Hayden sounds exactly like TCW Anakin, his voice got lower with time (and smoking) reddit.com/r/StarWars/s/F5RlJWVWI3

TCW Anakin actually had a personality.

Wrong

I saw George Lucas at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn't want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, "Oh, like you're doing now?"
I was taken aback, and all I could say was "Huh?" but he kept cutting me off and going "huh? huh? huh?" and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like "Sir, you need to pay for those first." At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually "to prevent any electrical infetterence," and then turned around and winked at me. I don't even think that's a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Cute

yeah the voices are similar but the cgi shit is uncanny and his personality is way too charismatic

She came prepackaged with the wall.

they could have hired any white woman and it would have been better

I'm right.

At being wrong.

no argument

Done.

We know you have none, thanks for agreeing.

Star Wars was so much better when she didn't exist.

Why yes, I do look like Chudakin Prisonwalker.

way too charismatic

I agree, even though Hayden and his Anakin does have charm but it's different.
The problem is that TCW Anakin is literally Luke+Han because they wanted to "fix" him.
Had they hired Hayden, animated Anakin would have remained more similar to his soft movie self.
It will be very interesting to see Hayden play Anakin in Ahsoka's season 2 alongside Ewan. Because even though we saw him in that flashback with young Ahsoka, we've never seen him as TCW version with Obi-Wan. I can't wait.

TCW was an excuse to keep Star Wars alive until Lucas was able to shoot his live action series. When that series had a ridiculous budget, on top of no one willing to shell out enormous sums of money for 4 seasons out of the gate, he walked back and allowed Filoni to assume creative control in the mean time. There was word or rumor around 2010 and 2011 that Filoni was meant to take over Star Wars.

That changed when Bob Iger broached the subject to Lucas about buying Lucasfilm. Lucas, in Iger's own words, was hesitant to sell Lucasfilm, mostly because Lucas knew he could never have direct creative control over his stalled projects.

But when Iger effectively threatened Lucas that he was going to get Lucasfilm one way or another, Lucas relented on the basis that he was going to walk away with a lot more money. Filoni was then pushed aside and Kathleen assumed direct control over the company under Disney's tutelage.

You can still find that interview where Lucas regrets selling his company to Disney and calling Disney 'white slavers'--and also another interview where Lucas backpedals his choice of words. But he meant it at the time and I believe Kathleen made the pain manageable by allowing Lucas around sets and interacting with actors again.

Oh sure, because Iger held a gun to his head and made him sign the paperwork. That just means Lucas is a sellout and a pushover.

And George very quickly changed his attitude toward his white slavers when he came to their defense from those nasty, critiquing Star Wars fans, didn't he?

is it bad that I can't tell whether or not this image is edited?

Wow, fuck him.

he looks like he was spat out of a jewish ork pit

Am I the only one who gets more enjoyment out of imagening how good the Prequels could have been rather than actually watching them? I swear I've watched these films more times in my head than I've actually seen them.

No, you aren't alone. I like the PT for what it is, but I do catch myself wondering about its potential often when I think about them, even back when they were coming out.
The EU helped a lot in scratching that itch.

No grandma Ahsoka is just ugly

that's weird
