Tron Legacy is kino and one of the better recent things Disney made. The CGI in it is better than 90% of modern films.

No, that was a Coil remix of Closer that was already out on an EP when the movie was put together, a needle drop in other words, not something commissioned for the film.
NIN did a few original thing for Lost Highway and Natural Born Killers soundtracks though.

I think there were middlemens and ghost writers and producers doing a good portion of the soundtrack, Daft Punk's name was used for marketing purposes mostly. They probably only did that Derezzed song by themselves and nodded in the studio as someone else did the filler orchestral zimmeresque stuff.
