I watched the show, and my takeaway is the opposite of what the writers intended for it to be.
I saw a kid who got pushed over the edge due to many different factors of his environment. And when he’s taken in by the system, the system keeps trying gaslight him into giving a single easy answer for why he did it. None of the boomers, police, or doctors can seem to figure it out, but all the young people who knew Jamie figure it out pretty quick.
