Kino incoming
Alien: Earth (2025)
from the producers of alien romulus
Sydney Chandler is cute and her career will explode.
it wasn't supposed to be a documentary
why does the same Indian keep posting his shitty fan posters here
because the PR company for the studio releasing the movie pays him to.
I hope we get lots of massed colonial marine vs xenomorph horde kino as they battle over the fate of earth but… I somehow know that we won’t
giant aliens
what the fuck is even the point of that? shoe horn a kaiju element into the series?
There’s potential for a lot of variety depending on the type of animal. Maybe some xenomorphs hatch from an elephant or blue whale
That would be stupid and a terrible tv show. Only good for a 20 minute fan film.
there are giant aliens? wtf?
It's set in the very near future.
Alien Romulus wasn't that bad. It was about as good as Ali3n.
I wish the director made a Dead Space movie instead.
Fuck off with your AI slop
Aliens on Earth
The entire premise makes no sense. I hope this tv show dies at the box office
reskinned zombie tv show
le humans were the real monsters all along
every Alien movie is the exact same thing to me and I don't understand why they just keep doin' it. I've gotten halfway through Romulus like 5 times but it's just another "stuck in a spaceship" movie
No one's forcing you to watch it. Go back to your "always different" comic book movies.
CUM ON ALIEN
What an absolute banger. Heard it a million times and it's still great.
Romulus was better than both Prometheus and especially Covenant though
set 2 years before the events of the original movie
I’m convinced modern movies are just some money laundering scheme.
Weyland pays better than Disney
Blomkamp knows that the way to revitalize the series is to retcon what destroyed it: Alien 3. The best way to move forward is to replace it with a much better movie. However, Ridley convinced the powers that be that the story is concluded already with Alien 3&4 and the only way to milk cash from it is to instead make tons of prequels pretending lots of events happened before/between Alien 1&2.
Neither are right. Alvarez is right in his vision of bringing everything "full circle" and tying loose ends up instead of burning them off
It's too similar to the cloverfield poster. the statue of liberty is an iconic new york image so obviously it's fair game but i think it's thematically too similar
the escape from new york also has a destroyed statue but that one has kind of the face lying down in the streets
i think this one is visually distinct enough where the cloverfield poster doesnt remind me of it but the cloverfield and alien earth movies are always going to be linked together in my head
Fede is not right kek. His non-canon movie is silly slop and easily ignored.
guys you know what would be cool? Weyland Yutani controls the universe but they're le super evil and work their slave colonists to death! Oh and skinny engineers pop out of women's vaginas! Yeahhh!
Fuck off with that dumb shit kek
How could you even say that?
At one point you have to accept that Ridley Scott has some form of dementia now
Alien: Constantine is probably going to be the next movie's title
I will watch if SHE appears again.
not canon
imagine the smell of those pits and that shirt
No it isn't. Romulus is literally just a Marvel/Star Wars movie wearing an Alien IP skin
It really was. Then incorporating generic modern horrorslop tropes no one wants.
i´m sorry, should i understand you think there will be giant aliens because the concept of that poster? holy shit, fucking kek. There is always a retard even more stupid, thanks pal, you made my day.
wow theyre finally doing something they should have done decades ago
wasn't that bad
It was about as good as Ali3n
Make up your mind.
Still better than half the "REAL KINO!!!!" slop that gets posted here daily.
facehugger throatfucking Lady Liberty because Blumpf destroyed democracy or some shit
Subtle. Won't be watching this shit.
don't be ridiculous anon you're reading too much into this it's just a promo poster
Blame the wokefags, that's the climate they created. I never had any problem at all with badass chicks or black characters or whatever. Now? My knee-jerk reaction whenever I see anything even slightly wokey is to just not watch.
but what if you're missing out on something amazing?
Fat chance nowadays. I'm willing to take that risk. Why? Because there's a very high probability that a movie or show with chicks and blacks and possibly political promo posters is 100% woke propaganda bullshit. Simple as. Again, they created this climate, not me.
Alien doesn't work anymore as a movie because it needs to appease too many normie non-fans to make a profit. They just want to see the black monster run around murdering people, be "le scared" and somehow grossed out by something that's been done a hundred times already. There is no overarching story anymore. It's just knockoffs and repeats that have been flanderized to the max. It is unlikely to work as a tv show, since as you can see here, people are immediately jumping to hate on it and not give it a chance. The only way Alien stories can actually last and tell their tale is in the medium of comics, book, or games.
Romulus is an Alien+Aliens best off which by definition can't be as bad as Prometheus or Covenant.
modern day earth
Alien Vs Predator will soon be known as the 'good' Alien Earth.
moving the franchise to earth is a way to save money and make it your standard basic cable slop.
disney+
the best credit that can be put on the poster is "from the producers of"
sloppy AI stills for the marking campaign
cringe and dead on arrival
This could work if they made Aliens a metaphor for Covid, and had not-Drumpf be the the Prez
they cant make an alien movie good ffor more than an hour. how are they going to make a full tv show?
If you're not just a pessimist and are actually open to new ideas, a TV show is actually a much better format than a movie. You can flesh out character and establish. arcs, explore various locations and create long-running. plots. It could build up lore about the setting and aliens. A movie is just the same old monster chasing people and then dying.
based gonna mock up more posters w this concept
You are correct.
Also the Cloverfield poster comes from a time where 9/11 was still quite recent. Many movie posters (The Dark Knight is another for example) capitalised on this sentiment visually.
Now for what it's worth, these guys were still considered to be using cheap parlour tricks back in the mid 2000s and being accused of not having the talent of their filmmaker predecessors. "Filmmakers" nowadays if you can even call them that could only dream of having a modicum of the talent that the guys in the 2000s had. It's actually comical how far the standards have fallen industry wide, no wonder someone like JJ (from Cloverfield mind you) is hailed as one of the current top brass
tldr the AlienEarth poster is ass and you're right. People need to git gud fast.
pretending it won't be
Alien: Mars
Alien: Neptune
Alien: Sol
Only the first Alien is good
I concurr, thought of Cloverfield right away at first look
This scene never happened in Escape from New York, but it actually happened in Cloverfield.
What would a prompt movie extraterrestrial monster hunting humans in new york like throw? Well or an Indian inspired by? lazy designer or honest human bean?
true
prometheus fucked the franchise badly
Ana real hero
almost
why do you think this show will have any of that
It seems the chicken jockey joke (or rather non existent one) is the epitome of the bastard progeny of postmodernism. Fucking alphazoomers are so for the looks, the shape, the superficial, the Instagram, they represent the mere out shell of what an organic stand alone copycat movement, only shape without substrate. Look jewgle ai (btw ai answer are recently clogging the search and everything is changing fast) tries to explain but there is a conceptual gap between point 3 or 4. There is no reason for child's to do this, not the mere shit and giggles (that would be a reason), its the ultimate simulacrum of life, lame imitation of what they saw their elder do, as we always do
sorry, I fucked up
What is there to tell? Everytime they expand the lore it gets worse. Alien rests on the premise of the unknown cosmic horror hence Alien
Nah, you're talking about just the movies. There's plenty to tell in the books, comics and rpg.
bit too goosebumps but for a 60 second mockup, pretty pretty peak imo
And I'm sure you clapped like a seal and squealed each and every time a character repeated a line from those movies, redditor
guarantee you she's in it
looking forward to seeing her get throatraped
yfw you realized you can see the monster in the clouds
They put some work into getting the look right
