Of those two, hawkeye is the better show. However if you really like kingpin, there is more content of him in Echo and that is tv-ma fisk while hawkeye is tv-14. But if you do watch echo without watching hawkeye you will probably be a bit confused since it's basically a sequel and directly ties to events from hawkeye.

This isn't true at all. At the diner he told Fisk he doesn't make it to the kitchen much these days. His new office isn't in hells kitchen, neither is his apartment and the Muse fight was at Track 61 which is east of Park ave. Aka midtown manhattan... where spidey just moved to after leaving Queens in No way Home.

See this is the shit I'm talking about. It's supposed to be a connected universe but we rarely see any connections, something that should be a big enough event (muse killing 60 people and bragging about it with murals everywhere) should have the attention of more heroes.

The issue has to do with timing and Marvel probably trying to distance movies & show stories to avoid the "reading homework" complaints, Born Again is being written and filming around the same time as Doomsday so most of the Marvel cast is occupied being in that (including Daredevil according to Cox's gym trainer) so the events in NYC are contained to that series alone.

Spider-Man 4 probably can't acknowledge the series because of Sony cocckblocking's and the fact that the events of Doomsday will probably be more important to that film's plot.

Then finally, it seems like Dario Scardapane is simply just more interested in re-exploring the Defenders-verse than the wider universe. All of the new post-overhaul episodes contain references to the original series but barely any about the MCU (aside from Swordsman but he already appeared in ep. 6)

His abilities also lend himself well to street-level conflicts, like he would be a solid matchup against Bullseye.

The only problem I can see with this is that Jeremy Renner likely can't do too much stunts or anything intense after that snow plow accident took 10 years off his lifespan.

Even if we get a hawkeye season 2, it won't have clint in it. His story is over. The character is retired and Jeremy isn't doing any stunts anytime soon. If you want Kate Bishop in season 2 that's a different story and that can potentially happen, but asking for Clint is asking for a miracle at this point.

It's decent. Not sure how it's doing numbers wise but I've enjoyed it so far. The threads for the most part were good. For ep 8 there were 3 threads that hit bump limit before this one and I think a reason for people not complaining is because this show is self contained for the most part. The only thing you need to see are the prior daredevil seasons, you don't need to be an mcu fan to watch and understand this. Finale is on tuesday.

It's fine, definitely weaker than the original Netflix show as a whole but I more rewatchable than Daredevil S2 and Defenders. It shows potential for greatness, like there's totally a version of S1's story that's as compelling as the original, but it feels like it's really held back by the rotten foundation that the new showrunner was forced to keep and write around. Like you can clearly tell this series was originally designed to be an episodic procedural that got frankensteined into having a more serialized structure.

The specific key factors that just make the Netflix show better was that it had a great supporting cast, snappier dialogue, and pacing that allowed the characters and story to be more fleshed out (also no distracting CGI). This is what Born Again is lacking in comparison, scenes feels abrupt and it barely has interest in any of the new characters they introduce.

But what Born Again does right is that the tone is faithful to the original, there's barely any jokes or humor and everything feels very grounded compared to rest of the MCU. Matt and Fisk are handled well-enough. None of the episodes ever get as bad as The Hand storyline. The reshoots and additional post-overhaul episodes show that the creatives have the right idea on where to take the show. Hopefully season two will be better now that everything was written from the ground up.

Maybe I'm biased but this like 3 second clip is up there for one of the funniest mcu moments. I can't tell if Fisk is confused or holding himself back from just gorilla yelling and tackling him. Then on the other side the fucking grin is perfect and he makes eye contact even though he's "blind".

I want to believe this but weren't season 1 and 2 developed together because originally season 1 was supposed to be 18 episodes? While there will be obvious improvements in season 2 like the opening shots and dialogue, I fear that season 2 will still include some of the new cast due to contracts. This show when piloted was always planned to have a second season, regardless if the 1st season bombed.

No, Born Again had 18 episodes ordered from the start that would have been split into two cours that would have aired a year apart yet still counted as a single season. Only the first half of the season was written by the original creatives before it got scrapped/overhauled. Now those two cours were officially two seasons.

Everything going forward past the seventh episode in Born Again was newly written by Dario Scardapane, including S2. That's obvious because Matt and Karen are shown to be back together in the set footage.

I'd agree that Muse is one of the weakest villains in Daredevil but what puts him above Nobu imo is that he has a genuinely great costume and his first fight was a really good sequence, practical and grungy like the old show.

Rewatching DD S2 and it revealed to me that Daredevil's fights are at their best when it's just him punching and beating on other mooks. When Daredevil fights ninjas with swords, the choreography becomes significantly less engaging and impactful.

Punisher not having killed Kingpin is a genuine major plot hole for the character. In the comics they always handwave it that Kingpin is just always so protected it's impossible even when Frank has tried but Kingpin doesn't care about anything outside of the scope of New York City so he has a pretty strictly finite amount of resources.

I only mentioned Wong originally because he is in nyc and has done guest appearances in the past like She-Hulk and Shang Chi. Plus he isn't as expensive as Strange. It could realistically happen even if it's just a comedy gag, I get that he's too OP for the AVTF
