It would have been kino if Paimon killed all the occult boomers and the movie ended there

It would have been kino if Paimon killed all the occult boomers and the movie ended there.

Smile (2022) mogs the shit outa this flick.

The only good scene was the one where the woman turned off the light and grandma's ghost appeared. That was crazy. Also the whole sequence where the girl got allergic reaction and eventually got beheaded was shocking. Ok movie. I liked midsommar more. Crazy that was 6 years ago

yeah the movie should have ended at the crescendo there, just cut to black

Why was he indian?

A demon finally being summoned and then turning on it's summoners is an old trope and it would have weakened the film massively.
Hereditary does so well because it remains surprisingly grounded despite its subject matter

he put the retard inside her brother's body, that was already a bing fuck you to the boomers cult from Paimon
imagine working for decades to bring Paimon into the physical world in exchange for untold riches and when you finally think you're there he just trolls you

Hail Paimon!

Hail Paimon!

Hail Sneedmon!

It's Paimon in the brothers body, not the sister. She's just dead

lol no, she does the little click with her mouth at the end that she always does
Paimon just trolled those boomers

Paimon was the little girl. Thought that was obvious. They even gave her the same name as the brother who committed suicide that was originally intended to be his vessel.

Her odd mannerisms were a result of being possessed by Paimon. The cult sought to put him into the brother because he prefers a male host.
That tick indicates possession by Paimon, not Charlie.

This movie and Midsommar are two of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life. You people are fucking retards with absolutely no taste. Kill yourselves.

Hereditary was the best horror of the last decade fag

Midsommar is painfully average. Hereditary is probably the only good horror movie released in recent memory

comedy-horror*

This. It reminded me of classic horrors that didn't hold your hand and left you thinking at the end. There genuinely isn't anything like that anymore

2019 to 2022 felt like one long dystopian year so anything 6 years ago kinda feels like it was only 3 years ago

having watched hereditary i simply don't get what the hype was all about

He doesn't need to kill them because their eternal souls are already promised to him in hell

The VVitch is also retarded if a little better because of the ambiance and other technical aspects

Try watching horror movies that aren't made for teenagers, retard

Terrible bait but please suggest a horror movie that you think is good, I wouldn't mind a laugh right about now

do horror movies not really work on autists asking for a friend

The clicking thing symbolizes the sound of his camels steps, it means that the demon is coming, not that it's already there.

When the mom is leaving the cultist's apartment after the seance she hears the clicking sound in the car. That was meant to cue you in that Paimon has possessed her

I liked smile 2 but it definitely does not. This movie ramps up to the climax perfectly.

I like this interpretation. It works if you consider that Paimon's initial possessions seems to only be partial, as if only a small, confused fragment of him resided in Charlie.

Smile 1 and 2 were aight. Ritual might be too old to be recent at this point. Also fuck it Skinamarink was good

How did I know this post was going to be by a contrarian boomer with a retarded opinion that doesn’t go beyond NEW BAD OLD GOOD. Granted midsommar is definitely trash.

It Follows is way better than smile. Smile 1 and especially 2 are nonsense schlock films with dishonest film making.

I'd say Skinamarink is almost on Hereditary's level. It understands how to generate actual feelings of unease, which is what 99 percent of "horror" movies completely fail at. It's just lacking the core aspects of a film, like a discernable narrative and characters with a serviceable level of depth

Did you guys like oddity? For how low budget it was I didn’t think it was too bad. Just very predictable.

Smile had s good monster and obviously is good as a horror film you don't take too seriously

Haven't seen it, is it ghosts demons or what

Rosemary's Baby

Hereditary

9th Gate

Midsommar

the Love Witch

The Wickerman

What subgenre of horror is this called? What are more kinos similar to them?

Occult horror. Hereditary and Midsommar aren't straight cult stuff though as it leans more into psychological stuff

I've never seent this flick

Reddit: the movie

Hereditary establishes the existence of demon kings and ends with the one being given physical form on Earth. I would say Hereditary qualifies as occult horror

I liked Hereditary but the fact it was a family drama first with the horror stuff added later shows.

Just watch the Suspiria remake

It's a variation of Wagner's Entry of the Gods into Valhalla from Das Rhinegold.
