Crazy to think it's still the 2nd best JP movie
Jurassic Park ended in 2003 with Operation Genesis.
ALAN
Answer it. It's time to apologize.
It's kino
It's underrated
It's basically a few good action set pieces strung together by the laziest and flimsiest of plots. I understand they started filming without having a script, but I find it hard to believe no one could come up with a better idea than: "family hires Alan Grant to rescue their son that has been in a dino-infested island for a couple of weeks".
Still, more than can be said from Fallen Kingdom and Dominion.
What exactly was Alexander Payne's involvement in the writing of this? It certainly wasn't the plot. Was he brought in to punch up the dialogue? Or, maybe it was it some early draft that got discarded.
Lost World is infinitely better
based
cringe
I liked it better than 2 right away because Im not a pleb.

Originally it was supposed to be about a family on vacation that has a plane crash on Isla Sorna and Grant would've been an illegal squatter on the island, living there for a few years in secret to study the dinosaurs more closely.
Still is
I saw it in theaters as a kid, must've been around 13 yo. Even then I knew it was mediocre. Certainly enjoyable for a JP geek but nothing to write home about.
Isn't it past your bedtime, unc?
It was the beginning of the end because it was the first one to feel more like a monster movie than a sci-fi movie. No Crichton influence left in it. Only the first movie was good desu.
No Crichton influence left in it.
AAAAAAAAAUUUUGGGGHHHH
not a coincidence that it is the best part of the movie. But I mean the genetics and corporations trying to control nature element that is gone from three onwards.
I like the first Jurassic World.

I wouldn't say that's entirely true, I think there's something to be said about the whole section in the Embryonics Admin building, short as it is. It's not straight up in your face Saturday morning villain corporate shenanigans (which I think is pretty boring and definitely played out by that point), but there's something ironically poetic about how the paleontologist is now examining the remains of a lost cause in modern technology made extinct by the unforseen consequences of reintroducing the past.
moron
:/
legs are missing
Was that death scene supposed to be longer?
Me too. I skipped the sequels, but I hope the new one is good.
Fallen Kingdom is pretty bad. Dominion is gigaslop but has tons of cool dino scenes. Not saying it's worth watching if you're a die hard fan of the original JP, but still, there's that.
I'm sorry, Spino-sama, please don't turn me into a pile of shit.
Fuck off broccoli head. I saw it around his age and felt the same.
Nothing beats the first one.
Based. I always liked it better because it immediately started showing dinosaurs as soon as they made it to the island.
I didn't like how they had no sightseeing or interaction with dinosaurs in the mobile lab or the other vehicles besides the T. rex in TLW.
jp1 > jw1 > jp3 > rest
World belongs nowhere above any of the Parks.
DVBS OF TRVTH
it's another zoomers pretending that JW was good episode
I just watched JP1 because of this shitty board and I only just now realized Hammond is Scottish. How the fuck did I not catch that during the dozens of other times I've seen it
