Do you guys like this movie?
Do you guys like this movie?
Yes
i liked it until the cool ass grim reaper creature was gary busey's son
Love it.
He was good playing a creep though
Not really. It was worth the watch but it's not memorable in the least.
Awful cover. Why does Michael J Fox look like he’s caught in the wind?
Its great. R Lee Ermey was good in it
I thought it was kind of sad how this asshole somehow got you to like him a little bit and then the grim reaper just slices him in half or some shit
it destroyed the movie for me when the grim reaper was revealed to be a hillbilly dumbass and the power levels in the movie make no sense
it's just not very good outside of some neat effects in the beginning which are very dated now anyway
Yes was kino
I always laugh at Michael J Fox’s reaction when his wife pushes him back to earth from heaven. He just goes “whoOoOoOoa” with a dumb look on his face
It's kino but it's kind of a messy script. It doesn't quite seem to know wtf it is exactly, there's like three completely unrelated concepts for a horror movie in there that should just be seperate movies. Like wtf does the bizarre FBI agent character have to do with anything and why do literally ALL of the ghost characters die halfway through? It's trying to be three movies at once so it feels like it's all over the place
I love it.
Also Heavenly Creates is very good. I wonder what other kinos Jackson would have made if he didn't go into the Lord of the Rings stuff.
Yeah idk wtf the point of this character was, he seems like he should be a key character at first but then at some point Peter Jackson just doesn't know wtf to do with him anymore and kills him and that's it. I feel like the movie kinda dies with him and the other two ghost dudes
yeah I like it
only real issue is how the dead douchebag husband disappears from the movie with no close-out of the subplot it raised, would have worked better if he got killed by the villain
even Peter Jackson noted this on the commentary
would have worked better if he got killed by the villain
But that's literally what happens
what are you talking about? the grim reaper kills him
yeah, it seemed like they had to get rid of him so Michael J Fox could get with his wife. I did start to like the character dynamic though. Made me kind of sad when he died
Maybe the theatrical cut is different?
Its good but some of the writing is kinda weird, I guess its just a weird movie in general
That grim reaper was really cool and one of the best movie monsters in a long time until the reveal.
youtube.com
I was entertained but I didn’t think it was a good movie. It’s the type of movie a child or younger teenager can really enjoy but as an adult it’s a lot harder to get past the goofy shit and not just turn it off
I’m retarded?
I can't find the clip anywhere unfortunately. I remember him getting killed but not exactly how. Seemed like it happened really fast out of nowhere and then he's just sort of forgotten
There's nothing wrong with goofy, it's just a wonky script
This happens to every ghost character in the movie. At first they are like the main gimmick but then they all just get deleted outbof the movie so it can focus on Micheal J Fox and his new gf.
I kept waiting for this dude to reveal that he can also see ghosts, or that he's aware of their existance or that he has something to do with the mystery, just ANYTHING really, but it never happens. He's just a random batshit insane autist who's just kinda also in this movie. Seriously what was the point of him
how about the fact that he was extremely funny and kino?
yeah, weird about the filming locations though
im a busey appreciator and that includes jake
that's like the worst photo of Micheal J Fox that exists and they used it on the cover
In every other photo he's Michael A Fox
He was but just in a way that doesn't fit in with the rest of the movie. But then nothing in this movie really fits together.
Only saw it once, aaaages ago, but yes.
Enjoyable. Watched it not too long ago and I immediately realised I would rather be watching brain dead instead.
Yeah I bet you like bussy
Your mom's bussy, yes
Didn’t he have something weird about his nipples? Like they were pierced or something? I remember he had a problem with his butthole and had to sit on a donut
I think they were straight up cut or burned off. He looked really fucked up. I still wish that the reveal of his backstory tied into the ghost stuff more
Yeah, it could have been interesting if he knew Michael J Fox was telling the truth all along
HOW did that loopy cunt go to heaven?
Jeffery combs lol I forgot he was in this movie
It's uneven, but comfy
Lee Ermey basically doing his Full Metal Jacket officer character as a ghost was kino
This movie was terrible. I only watched it last year for the first time and it was so forgettable that I can barely remember anything about it. The Hollywood studio put Peter Jackson on a leash with this one. Just compare it to his previous films.
Yup
Yeah he was a weird addition, it's not as if they needed to pad the running time, and the character doesn't really add anything storywise.
Most likely Jackson liked him in Re-animator since he is a horror fan and just wanted to squeeze him into his movie.
My body is a road map...of pain!
He was an undercover agent who became fucked in the head from infiltrating cults. He has seen and even done serious shit but still stubbornly maintains his skepticism trying to bring powers he can't even comprehend under the purview of his perceived authority under the law.
How did you retards miss that?
Might've been like at the end, where they just get sucked up into the light until they're not on Earth, and then hell opens up and takes them.
We didn't miss it, it just made no point in the movie, he was a pointless character storywise.
it just made no point in the movie
Yes it did. He was a foil to Michael J. Fox's character and emphasized the latter's development of using the paranormal for his own gain. The point of the character is that getting close to the paranormal affects different types of people in different ways and the agent represents hubris.
This movie helped save my life from a pack of ghosts that were haunting my house for months.
After seeing this movie i got the courage to yell to them that i'd kill myself and curse them, so that i'd be back as a ghost to haunt them. I'd disrupt their entire business. Kept running and yelling throughout the house with a knife on my neck.
The ghost stopped bothering me after that. Scared the fuck out of them.
that's wierd lol
Jeffery Combs deserved some lead roles. Why did Hollywood cockblock him so much? All he got was Reanimators.
Good thinking. I’ll try to remember that if I ever get haunted by a ghost
plot twist:
OP actually died and is ghostposting
He's a weirdo both in life and in acting
That flying grim reaper thing made me shit myself as a kid watching it.
Id dump her off at purgatory personally. She was just a chaotic neutral psycho
me too. it scared me because even the other ghosts were scared of it. i paused it at the perfect moment and you see a flash of its face when it runs in to the car
