You.... sucked?
The strike team….and Ronnie
no 5 man inter-member orgy between the strike team still
nuts
I downloaded the first season but I haven't got around to starting it yet. Is it true it's a depressing show? Will I feel like shit after watching it?
What are you talking about? The Strike Team isn't complete without Ronnie.
It's like life, in a way. It starts out beautiful, comfy and fun and you feel like you're friends with the Strike Team and find their corruption and constant close calls with getting caught thrilling and you want to see them win. But the show makes sure to tear down all of that in the most brutal fashion possible and leaves you fucking destroyed by the ending scene. No spoilers but this show has the most brutal and unforgiving ending of any major TV show.

LET'S SEE THAT MOUTH..
He made you... suck?
We killed a cop Vic!
I'm not GAY!
SUCK IT!
SWEET BUTTAH!
I WAS WITH YOU EVERY STEP OF THE WAY ON THE MONEY TRAIN
your ex wife's pussy, tastes like sweet butter....
he wants to know what your momma's putting in the corn muffins!!!
Is going through with the money train heist the single most retarded decision in TV history?
I remember watching this a while ago and they each got like 250k or something? maybe 500k max? in 2002-2004 that was probably enough to retire on but nowadays 250k is literally nothing.
I'm sorry Lem, I had to.....rigght?
we killed… a COP
he’s PISSING all over you
her pussy tasted like sweet buddah
you’re just a faggot nigger with a faggot nigger son
Spook Street, my nig!
Who took my Ding Dongs?
SUCK IT
Immortal kino
not the ding dongs.... :(
enhanced kinography
money train
we killed… a COP
this one always makes me chuckle
It was stupid because OF COURSE such a big money laundering operation would've been known by the feds and the money would've been marked. Them not even considering this was a very contrived piece of writing. Ultimately, they still got away with it all things considered but Lem jumped the gun, burned the money (which they hinged their futures on) and it all came crashing down. Not because of Aceveda or the law but because of the hubris of the team itself. Nobody but themselves fucked them over. Vic betrayed Ronnie to save himself, Shane killed Lem to save himself. They were never a team to begin with.
Get over it. Don't bring it up again.
MONEYTRAIN
The amount of legendary guest stars on The Shield is obscene. Just one example:
I AIN'T GO NO DICK MAN
Show never once dropped the f bomb
They could get away with shit, faggot, nigger and spic but not fuck. FX had some weird ass standards and practices
WE'RE GONNA FIND OUT WHO DID THIS, AND WE'RE GONNA KILL HIM
Spotlight shines on Shane
Enhanced kinooo
They could show a man being orally raped, tons of gang massacres, gay swingers getting their dicks mutilated by mouse traps, raped children but god forbid they used fuck. But then again they could've found other sponsors who would allow it but they didn't.
Shane was 100% justified and in the right to kill Lem and I'm tired of pretending he wasn't. Lem was going to crack and be caught 10000% and Shane had a wife and kid to consider before his friendship and devotion to the team. Vic was a massive hypocrite who condemned Shane for what he would've done himself if he was there.
no it's pretty fun most of the time
It should’ve been an HBO show, the fact that none of these hard-ass cops and gangbangers ever uttered the word fuck started to ruin the immersion a bit
I bet his mental health really improved after checking himself in to the psych ward haha
It's very fun and light most of the time until the last 2 seasons where everything goes wrong and it ends in a bleak and miserable way.
I agree especially with how he was begging him to go to the farm and Lem kept saying no. The way he did it was absolutely cold tho
that poor little kid, he's gonna be found face down, in the shower
WITH A BACK FULL OF SHIT AND AN ASS FULL OF CUM
Even without using the word fuck, Shield was just as good (if not better) than the big 2 HBO shows that ran around the same time. Keep in mind, swearing and nudity are cool to have but not necessary. The Shield proved that. BUT you also have to remember that while HBO prided itself on being "le hardcore premium channel" they were also sticklers and veto'd many things across all shows. I doubt HBO would've allowed the Aceveda mouth rape
Shoots a child point blank to death
Has any other show had the balls to do that?
Not talking about showing a dead kid but just having a grown ass man kill a child like it was nothing
the way he did it was absolutely cold
It was and wasn't. In theory, it was to cover his tracks and make it look like a cartel job which he succeeded if not for the fact he didn't put in a dummy grenade in the stash to replace the one he stole. to offset suspicion but for which Vic eventually discovered. I think him somehow surviving a grenade to the face was a brutal twist of fate. 9/10 times he would've died on the spot but he was left alive long enough to know and look at his dear friend who just killed him and whimpering his name in pain and despair.
This show is without a doubt the darkest, most hardcore TV drama i've ever seen. That moment and Ronnie's arrest made me weep.
The Shield couldn't say the F-word but could do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING else. You remember the sideplot about Vic and his wife suing the state because they think vaccines made their kids retarded? Even back then, that was some ballsy shit. People saying Shield should've been on HBO are missing the point. If it wasn't on FX, The Shield wouldn't have been half as good as it was.
And in the end he was just a nigger, with a faggot nigger son!
I think he says back full of shiv but yea lol
Mr. Mayor, the DICK is up your ASS, and I'm the one, not you, who decides when, AND IF, it comes out...
kino...
the Cardassians, they made me get on my knees..
I survived the 2000s by the skin of my nuts, when the One-Niners and Byz Lats were goin at it
You told them....all of it?
that's why they added Billings
She was a great character. The last idealist that didn't want to compromise and play appeasement. Gets buckbroken and thrown away for even trying.
trusts Vic after everything he saw him do to others
gets to be Antwon Mitchell's bitch FOR LIFE
i liked Ronnie but he deserved his fate
I felt like her solution was more of a band aid. Their prescient really just needed more funding for cops and equipment. The barn looked like an abandoned school from the 19th century
Amazingly written and performed character. S4 was when I was certain that NOTHING could ever suprass The Shield in quality. Then S5 was 100x better. What an amazing show. Thankful I got to experience it in its original run.

GOD... DAMNIT VIC. GOD DAMNIT we were supposed to run... TOGETHER what about the team VIC?!
Ronnie didn’t go to prison for life, not even close
Best show ever made. I wish I could watch it again for the first time. STRIKE TEAM FOREVER
Realistically, he cops a plea deal and just loses his badge but doesn't do jail time. But in the show's context and narrative, he does jail time otherwise Vic's betrayal wouldn't have any emotional effect. While we're at it, the Feds would never agree to Vic's deal once he confessed to murdering another cop with premeditated intent.
This reminds me of what a background character Danny became. There she is, arresting and condemning someone she knew for years and it doesn't phase her at all.
To be fair Ronnie was more of a background character for most of the series and only became more central in the last season after Lem went out
When Vic made that confession the deal was already signed, there wasn’t anything they could do
Of course it’s fucking absurd the feds would ever agree to immunity without knowing what the crimes are but whatever
there wasn't anything they could do
They're the Feds and he's a disgraced dirty cop. They would've torn up the deal in his face and sent him away because they're the Feds and I doubt anyone else would care to help him out on that. But for the purposes of the show, it was a good dramatic device.
He was only an extra in the pilot but was a main cast member after that by virtue of appearing in every single episode bar two.
Looks like Charlie Day. If It's Always Sunny did a Shield spoof, Mac would want to play Acaveda, so he could try and blow everyone.
Dennis would be claudette, you know why
They could never make this show today
you’re just a faggot nigger with a faggot nigger son
WITH AN ASS FULL OF CUM
Is that Carlos Mencia?
