He never sleeps, the Judge. He is dancing, dancing. He says that he will never die.
He never sleeps, the Judge. He is dancing, dancing. He says that he will never die
Why are people so obsessed with adapting blood meridian.
You know it will be shit if they do it
Why did he write dancing twice? Seems like pseud writing.
The Blood Merdian movie is already in production anon
the only person who should make it is the guy who directed Bone Tomahawk
his wordy talk about the infernal plane with mccarthy type words screamed judge
VERY true observation. Would you believe me if I imagined the Judge exactly as this guy in True Detective and I had the mother of all goosebumps when I finally watched that show? It felt like The Judge had taken human form. I swear, if they don't cast this guy then I will throw a fit. It's STARING THEM IN THE FACE. Cast Glenn Fleshler.

They should have filmed this instead. Same story, but actually good.
True lol but you gotta say, that's the Judge right there. I can't imagine they'll pass him over given that they're making the movie right now. It's directed by the same director as The Road.
BM is actually good though?
He never sleeps, the Judge. He is dancing, dancing. He says that he will never die.
Stop pretending McCormac is a good writer.
he writes like an edgy 13 year old with no talent.
Fatty Arbuckle would make a good judge or maybe I just think that cause he was a murderer and rapist
It is?
ONLY Vincent D'nofrio could've done it. Only him.
How about the guy from White Shadow? He was the mentoring boss of Tilda in Michael Clayton, tho I cannot remember his name today.
The casting for the rogue cultists in TD1 was really good.
The actual cultists could only match the terror the rogue ones inspired through them being implied to be conspiring the in the shadows and controlling the state.
Season 1 falls apart biblically the more it goes on. Nic set up too much stuff and bogged the story down with Marty's family drama bullshit. He should've just left it as a hillbilly satanist cult and that's it. Also, write a better ending than a Saturday morning cartoon boss fight with Marty, Rust and Errol. That was so bad.
I still say it should be Viggo Mortensen. He would gain the weight.
FILTERED BY MIDLIFE CRISIS KINO
based if youre being sincere
he looks like cillian murphy in a fat suit
People who have never read it but like the idea of it due to the ultra violence or The Judge's sense of nihilism appeals to them want it adapted. Consider this meme.
With that said Suttree is the superior Cormac novel
Also, write a better ending than a Saturday morning cartoon boss fight with Marty, Rust a
The finale made it seem like they had no money to do anything real so they had to fake an unseen finale. Really cringe.
He's still alive, anon
He still can
guy in bottom right was shockingly good talking to Mccounaghey
Take the same show but with two other actors in the lead roles and NO ONE would've remembered it or liked it. Matthew and Woody elevated a mediocre show.
big reason why S4 completely failed, Jodie Foster could've been an okay secondary female detective but you needed the other guy to be kino even if they still made him indian
Very much so, anon. I like the guy. He's not some nobody actor who just looks the part, he's an acclaimed and popular character actor who's been in multiple HBO shows and had a notable role in Joker. He's not only perfect for the role in every metric but has the industry status to be feasibly cast as the Judge in the movie that's in development. I think Hillcoat will cast him. There is NO ONE else who could do it. I think he knows that. I believe the movie enters production this fall. I read it on a production grid sent out around the industry.
Displaying Mary's flawed character was important for the story.
Afraid not. Though it's only a difference of exactly 10 years, it's still a big difference. Glenn Fleshler is the better choice if we're talking RIGHT NOW if he was cast. Plus, he's already Judge-lite on those Marvel shows he's done. You need someone who's a little less known who could inhabit the role more efficiently.
True, but not to THAT extent. Seeing him attend family meetings and whatnot. It was a little much. He could've showed some restraint and given Rust a little bit more of an equal sharing of screentime in those early episodes. Plus, most of that is not well-written anyway. Nic was pretty young when he wrote TD S1 so I can cut him some slack but it still needed a lot more tidying up. His daughters possibly being tied to the cult is introduced and then dropped.
hotshot
Walton Goggins as Louis Toadvine
Only Kubrick could have done it. It deserves to be a mini series like True Detective on HBO or something like that. Like a big event like Shogun back in the 80s. A 2-3 hour movie would still be shit.
Can't wait until the adaptation finally comes out on Hulu+ or Quibi or whatever the fuck and gets forgotten in a week.
Perfect casting.
i'd love to have him in it, kino machine
This guy is European? Jeez, that's a woozy.
He and Glen HAVE to be in it. Also, I think Josh Brolin would've been perfect but he's a little too old now for Glanton. I propose Joel Edgerton. He has the range and the looks, with some adjustments.
Is this Bud Spencer's kid by any chance?
Bone Tomahaw
Nah that shit was boring af
Impressionable zoomies discovered it throught tiktok and youtube essays
This is a perfect cinematic companion piece to Blood Meridian. The director is adapting BM as we speak.
shut the hell up
If you wanted to make someone seem they they're in some sort of Dionysian revel, you wouldn't just say "he is dancing."
blood meridian
I can't understand why this book is so popular, it's a misery goon session of a book
