What was with the late 90's and modern day adaptation of classic literature?

You forgot Bridget Jones Diary which is a modern day Pride and Prejudice and Pretty Woman which is a modern day Pygmalion

realising the most action I got in my life was before I was 12 years old

Damn:(

you had action?
I had zero. somehow life skipped me by until I was 30

I experienced twink death at 16

I experienced tired of life at 8 and things went downhill from there

O (Othello

this movie was woke trash

Two thoughts, first, damn she went in with tongue and everything, second, that is FOUNTAIN water, that shit is nasty and would taste awful.

What movie

White supremacy. Look at all that Eurocentric literature by dead white men.

a full team of adults wrote, produced, supervised, recorded and edited this

Big Expectations

this was denied to me because of my inferior genetic makeup

remake of gorillas in the mist?

I had a superior genetic makeup but was born with a -1 to luck, so it never happened to me either.
at least your life makes sense

Yes the close up shot of these pubescent childrens mouths is totally necessary to the plot.

burgers?

Save last
"the dance"

you know what it was like

how did filmmakers used to get away with shit like this?

society was controlled by men instead of women. before 20th century feminism it would have been legal for you to marry the girl in op's webm, if you so desired. women ended that out of envy.

my first kiss was basically this wholesome minus the aristocratic scenery

hero

I had my first kiss at age 7 with the neighbor girl (also age 7)
there's nothing to get away with, that's normal childhood behavior or at least it was, idk what kids do these days if they like each other, fortnite dances instead of kissing.

He means the overly sensual imagery on screen. Not the actual act of kids kissing.

It's a movie, the medium naturally calls for exaggerating imagery. Also I remember my first kiss in excessive detail, even the way her mouth tasted, it felt like it happened in slow motion but in reality lasted for two seconds. This is why we have art, films, books, music to help us depict these things. It would be dishonest to just show a peck on the lips when that's not how it feels in reality at all.

this. the style and pacing of the shots convey the electricity of young romance

even the way her mouth tasted

What did it taste of?

rofl
Candy and McDonalds hamburger
We were playing hide and go seek and we both hid in my mom's closet. Can't remember why she kissed me, I guess she just thought it was a good opportunity.
I actually ran into her older sister while shopping not too long ago. Didn't ask about her, the chances of her being a broke single mom and probably on drugs is too damn high.

Sorry to hear about that man. Is that a common thing in your area?

An unconventional flavour combo it has to be said.....

I ask because I actually vividly remember the taste as well, we had been eating wedding cake so it was icing and marzipan.

Yeah common, that was before my parents got better jobs and a huge jump in income and we lived in a impoverished area of the city. Her sister was doing okay though, so she probably is too.

An unconventional flavour combo

Yeah it's such a kid thing, Icing and marzipan is a lot better. It's sounds cheesy to remember your very first kiss with so much detail but I don't remember any of my other first kisses with women I've been with through the years.
