This show made flash mainstream before the flash movie ruined most good will. There was a good amount of backlash that grant wasn't being chosen for the film, which later got fueled even more when Ezra had shit happen with him. The Flash movie being flashpoint and not being a flash focused story hurt the character a lot, and it's going to be a long time before the character is restored in any capacity. If James Gunn really wanted the flash to be good in film, he would hire Grant for some sort of role and market the film to enjoyers of the arrowverse TV shows.
