His Girl Friday
/philm/ thought of the day —
Can you hold fast your crescent soul and not let it wander
Can you make your breath as soft as a baby’s
Can you wipe your Dark Mirror free of dust
Can you serve and govern without effort
Can you be the female at Heavens Gate
Can you light up the world without knowledge
Beget things and keep them
But beget without possessing
Keep without controlling
This is Dark Virtue

Watch the British cut, there is an additional scene with an encounter with a certain lady that adds a lot of meaning.

When Henry Fonda chases Doc Holliday in My Darling Clementine... the juxtaposition of the moving images, it's peak cinema. Can't find a video of the scene anywhere so I'll just link the full movie.

My idiot friends thought this wasn't CGI and it was real
Zappa read The Talking Asshole from Naked Lunch on stage
Priceless.
I was significantly more invested into Pokemon than Yu-Gi-Oh! throughout my youth. Those "Mystery Dungeon" games were my shit
Very funny you mention Mystery Dungeon as I played Blue Rescue Team when it came out and I liked it a lot. The concept of playing as the actual Pokemon instead of a trainer fascinated me as a kid for whatever reason. Platinum was the last Pokemon game for me but I never grew out of Smash or Mario Kart which I've both played since the N64. I still play those with friends every once in a while and they never get old.
I wasn't into Yu-Gi-Oh beyond a handful of GX episodes that were heavy in rotation on Toonami, nor was I into trading cards in general but a childhood friend of mine was definitely into it. He bought card packs and Marvel/DC comics before capeshit took over everything lol.
Here's a picture I found from like ten years ago when I sold old games I didn't want anymore on eBay (these were excluded).
Also, Charlotte was the best part of the Independence Day sequel. I don't see anyone endorsing that flick and it never sat well with me that the writers retconned Margaret Colin's character from the first one.
i had to turn this off 15 minutes into it.
the proto-Eggersian PS3 cutscene oner battle was too much.
and the very first scene is a Stalker reference. very tasteless.
Nice. Post a review or commentary here after you finish it.
GX was the most kino series
They had the balls to make the MC the main villain for season and be loses to some B tier jobber character at the end
It's less than mid.
Will do!
Ben Russell made a few films in Suriname. only one I've seen was River Rites which was alright. I'm planning on watching Let Each One Go Where He May. hopefully it's kino
