What the hell is wrong with people?

what the hell is wrong with people?

literally paying money to sit and watch ads

remember how agressive that "when you see he connects his laptop/usb/torrent and get the ick" meme was? A lot of zoomers got brainwashed by it and it worked.

Zoomers are afraid of pirating because they believe the police will arrest them and they will pay a fine of a million dollars.

Not that Zoomers even know how to pirate since they are tech illiterate.

Zoomers don't pirate because they're bootlickers and pirating is illegal and hurts the progressive and woke megacorporations

I have a 12TB Jellyfin server.

it's probably all women. Most zoomer boys I teach are on those grey-legal streaming sites like fmovies or anime sites

Hollywood wins again

They don’t pirate because any electronic device that doesn’t use a touchscreen interface and at most, a single button is a complete mystery to them. Computers might as well run on magic as far as they’re concerned.

i have no idea how anyone can subscribe to these services

all they have is slop and blockbusters that anyone has seen.

so it's only "worth it" to subscribe for a month when the newest season of a tv show you absolutely have to watch is out and pick up any new movies they added along the way. the 1-2 interesting movies they might add per month are not worth a $10+ subscription.

i enjoy watching ads

12TB

chad has a disk shelf, no need to feel insecure though your 12TB is technically """enough""". the average woman can't even remember the names of more than 8TB worth of bluray remuxes anyway

people with disposable income pay for convenience

it's really not some huge mystery, stop pretending to be retarded.

I have a free HBO max and netflix subscription with my phone plan and i dont use it.
Most of the content is not even 4k, so your 4k tv is useless, there's rarely anything good there. I'd rather download what i want, that way i can also keep it forever.

If you're paying to watch the version with ads you're paying for inconvenience if anything

How is watching ads convenient?

Most content is not 4k anywhere, but your TV is upscaling it to 4k.

so is everyone going to cancel their netflix and they're finished, again?

How long until they repackage cable under a different name?

even if

there's no ads

it's more convenient

it's 4k

it's cheap

the catalog is good

I will still pirate

Why are commercials so soulless nowadays? Commercials used to be kino

Streaming is a replacement for video rental stores. People like to look at the covers.

Not to mention they sometimes only have the censored version.

commercials used to be a vehicle to advertise your product. now the focus is on some goofy message

post kino commercials of the past

find a netflix show I don't like

pirate it, delete the file

pirate it again, delete the file again

repeat thousands of times

this results in netflix losing thousands of subscribers since every piracy is a lost sale

I don't even use all 12. You could say 12 is too much

trump won

Ads have never bothered me. I don't use a lot of streaming but if did I'd get the cheap ad tier. Tubi is my favorite

Mine gives me Netflix but not Max. What service do you use? I have T-Mobile.

They should just make a deal 100 bucks a month for all stream services as a package deal and then all sorts of people would buy this thinking they're gonna be able to see everything

Congratulations. You just invented cable TV

All you need is a vpn+stremio. Works on all devices

Cable TV has almost nothing today. You could get 2 subs and have more content than all the shitty marathon same show watch in their schedule cable channels

Man the 90s were such a blur of commercials. Just everywhere you look, everything you watch. You watch an episode of Highlander or Star Trek or whatever and it's 48 minutes of tv with 12 minutes of ads mixed in.

Movies, literature and vidya were the only things free of that

Anon, Zoomers hate Trump and think he’s a Nazi that will totally genocide the Jews despite being a huge shill for Israel.

Zoomers hate Trump

i not american so i just googled the vote turn out is only 42% of zoomers for the last election, which is similar to millennials, old people have vote turnout of like 75%, whats going on?

They've done after decades in the making the perfect goy generation has been achieved, they can't imagine a life without goyslop and they'll pay top dollar for it

Streamlet cope

I have a free HBO max and netflix subscription with my phone plan

jesus how much are you paying for your phone

disc rots in background

set up NAS
you will still have to replace drives over time, but there is no other reliable long term solution

bothering with all that nonsense

I download stuff onto my local hard drive, where i watch it, and then delete it when i'm done and get something else.

Most of the content is not even 4k

What's worse is they say it is 4k, but they compress the absolute shit out of it in order to save bandwidth.
So the end result is an image that's barely equivalent to 1080p.

Lol wth Netflix has ads?

Which is excellent for us, as there's less incentive for companies to combat piracy.

You've awoken something deep in me.
Now I have to sing Berries & CREAM

Something like 70% of internet users don't have adblock so they're used it.

Doesn't work on iPhones but seems like a cool open source project. I wonder why there's no web-based p2p client by now. Must have something to do with how browsers handle local storage.
