I didn't expect to feel bad for her
PRESS F
HE JUST WANTED TO DO THE RIGHT THING
Chances we see a recast Jyn?
So did dreda felt bad for the massacre or she's just got informed of cereal's death?
Why recast her?
She's fat now.
Rogue One retroactively becoming the series finale to Andor makes it pretty disappointing, aside from the movie being absolutely distinterested in its tone, premise, and characters until it just becomes a Star Wars circlejerk during Scarif, imagine going from Luthen and Mon's speeches to "This is a rebellion isn't it? I rebel".
None
She has the best ass in the entire Star Wars catalog though.
Chances of a final scene with b2emo?
Nah she isn't.
work your entire life to be something
last words you hear are "who are you?" before being instantly shot in the head
Fucking hell
They would AI it for sure if they do want a little 3 second shot of Jyn
I'm glad Wilmon being a horndog didn't get him killed
Lies. Here she is only two months ago.
And there is also CGI Necromancy monstrocities in it. But yeah, that movie is complete and utter slop. IT's pretty, and that's it.
andor will never see bix ever again
:(
I need muh Jyn
The official core canon is now
Ep III
Andor S1
Andor S2, ep 7,8,9, (10,11,12 pending)
Ep IV
Ep V
Ep VI
Ancillary canon
Ep I
Ep II
Rogue One (pending being core upon rewatch)
Everything else is apocryphal. I don’t give a shit about kids cartoons either.
mfw waking up in the morning
Based
>work your entire life to be something
>last words you hear are "who are you?" before being instantly shot in the head
He's literally me
it was either this or a recast, and if i recall at the time there had been a fairly controversial recast a few years prior that had some major blowback which is why they went with this route instead, though for the life of me i cant remember which one
My core canon is
Journal of the Whills drafts
Holiday Special
Star Wars Droids
It's not like he gave a shit. He fell in love with bunny.
Rogue One is the most Star-Wars-like movie since ESB.
I remember people shitting themselves over Solo because of it. I don't remember anything for Rogue One like that though since that was only the 2nd Disney movie.
SW fans have been cherry picking long before the Disney buyout. We used to argue if Legacy was a good sequel or not and now most people forgot about it.
EP 1 and 2 lay the groundwork for all of this, setting up palpatines political machinations, the complacency of the jedi, the clone wars
ep 3 had some good lightsaber fights and personal drama but 1 and 2 are the real meat of the overarching plot of the galaxy. highly underrated because of a couple lines of cringey dialogue
Ep III
Nigga what.
force healer tells bix that cassian needs to be with her
OH OKAY ILL LEAVE THEN LOLOL KBYE
Who wouldn't? Bunny was cuter
The most fucked thing about CGI Tarkin is that the guy they hired to voice and mocap him, Guy Henry, already looks and sounrs like Peter Cushing, they could have just applied some makeup to make him look older and he would have been perfect.
Tarkin didn't look as creepy as the three seconds of Carrie Fisher's ghoula.
Eh, the sound design and music is so off in Rogue One
No, the core canon is
American Graffiti
THX 1138
Sunny Day in the Void (Clone Wars arc)
Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull
highly underrated because of a couple lines of cringey dialogue
Both movies are cringe but even worse, they're boring. What makes Andor great in comparison, is that the politics scenes feel tense. They don't drag like the prequels do.
Saddest arc in a Star Wars show since what, one of the cartoons?
The show takes place up until the opening of Rogue One, which means she's still in prison. There's a nearly zero percent chance she shows up, outside of maybe some repurposed archival footage. It wouldn't make sense to show her though, especially after they ignored Mothma's second speech and stripped all mention of Phoenix Squadron from the show to try and stay self-contained.
I still don't see what's wrong with rogue one other than cocksuckers of rlm parroting them
What's he thinking right now?
my guess is that they knew that hammil, fisher and/were all about to bite the dust, and were trying to advance the technology on a less integral side character first, so that they could have it more perfected for once the big 3 shed their mortal coil so they can keep using them after the fact.
but then it seems like they abandoned that plan after the extreme negative feedback, and have now returned to recasting with partial cgi as opposed to full cgi constructions
I think the story is fine. I just think the Star Wars music, effects and just the overall sound design are really fucking bad and cheap considering how the rest of the movie looks good.
The only reason they do partial cgi is because it's cheaper and looks better. Deepfakes shit on CGI Tarkin and take 1/100th the effort.
People only like Rogue One because of the space battle and Darth Vader hallway scene, literally no one remembered Cassian's name until Andor came out.
I'm glad I became a functional alcoholic instead of dealing with all this bullshit
biggest loser in all of star wars
YOU BITCH
What the fuck was the point of the first 3 episode.
in his defense he wasnt really given much to do in that movie.
One of his final acts being him unknowingly saving his ex's life is delicious irony
At least he got Dedra pussy
Ep III
Nah. It still sucks.
Even as a kid I thought the final lightsaber fight was far too much.
not liking III
You're either a retarded boomer or a braindead zoomer
precuel babies out of the woodwork
Everything retarded about the star wars lore comes from those boring ugly movies
Crazy how you're already getting close to your late 40's, huh?
I was a kid when I watched the prequels and even I didn't like them back then, they felt off and looked ugly
Does anyone even care about her?
can you stop posting about prequel cancer in the andorkino thread
Prequels had lots of good ideas, but terrible execution. Anakin and Padme were awful and the biggest flaw, being the centerpiece of the entire story (fixeable if you just watch Clone Wars instead).
pretty funny how the main character of rogue one is an irrelevant side character in the grand scheme of things
Sure thing, Steve. Happy 38th birthday next month
it's called "be 2 emo"? are you fucking kidding me?
The only thing I liked about the prequels as a kid were the designs. I remember skipping through ep 2 a bunch and pausing on scenes with the gunship and super battle droids so I could draw them.
I appreciate Jyn. She's kind of like your typical off screen Rebel who kind of helps but then just dies.
mfw Colonel Yularen on channel three
only way someone might liked the prequels is if they watch them as a dumb kid
Kek
So is the Mothma speech better than Filoni's version?
Is it just me or does Andor REALLY like hugging people? Not just women, he just hugs everyone
She helps andor with the stealing of the death star
irrelevant
???
It's normal to hug people
You should hug more people desu
They wanna rewrite the story
What did they mean by this? Is it a dig at the Rebels episode?
Yes
Is Gilroy better than filoni slop?
Yes
The rapes, anon. They were beautiful
I LOVE ANDOR!
FREE PALESTINE!
All she really says in the Andor version is that the the truth is important and the Emperor is a big fat liar.
unprovoked
They want to rewrite that the Clone Wars were bad and the Separatist were probably right and the Republic/Empire is wrong
kikes seething
based
I want Karn to choke me like Dedra
are they up yet?
They were up on public trackers like half an hour after it started showing for Disney+
Palestine is rightful Israeli land
luthen became irrelevent offscreen
Man. I knew he would stop being "the guy" once a more traditional military formed but still.
"This is Senator Mon Mothma. I have been called a traitor for speaking out against a corrupt Galactic Senate. A Senate manipulated by the sinister tactics of the Emperor. For too long I have watched the heavy hand of the Empire strangle our liberties, stifling our freedoms in the name of ensuring our safety. No longer! Despite Imperial threats, despite the Emperor himself, I have no fear as I take new action. For I am not alone. Beginning today we stand together as allies. I hereby resign from the Senate to fight for you, not from the distant hall of politics but from the front lines. We will not rest until we bring an end to the Empire, until we restore our Republic! Are you with me?"
it's a different speech. if you watched the end of episode 9, the baldy rebel from rogue one is telling andor that mon is going to make another speech, which will be the one from rebels, the filoni one.
yeah ty
found them
Based and SWpilled.
These timeskips have been fucking this season to death.
Just think of each three eps as a movie unto themselves.
Don't worry Filoni will save us with Tales of the Rebellion. We can finally fill in those gaps for Luthen and retcon Andor.
It doesn't really help. There's too much shit happening offscreen and they're not handling the exposition well.
Skipping over the actual formation of the alliance is such a fucking shame. I wanted to see how all those guys that Saw was schizo ranting about came together.
hot
So Luthen is obviously fucked but who else do you think is gonna get it? Bix seems written out and I wouldn’t be shocked if we don’t see Wilmon or Vel much. I just want to see Dreda die she killed my nigga
Is this series recommended for someone (my cousin) who found the treepio and r2d2 desert scenes long and boring?
They shouldn't bring Kino back if they're only going to have him in the last 3 then die. HIs fate being unknown was better.
It's like enduring the horoscope obsessed girlfriend
It's funny, to me Andor seems to imply that her Rebels speech was something she cobbled together on the trip to Yavin after being told last minute she had to deliver ANOTHER speech after spending hours perfecting the one she wanted to give.
luthen
lonni
dedra
Those are the 3 I think are definitely dead.
I honestly don't know where they're going to go from here. There's nothing really left to cover besides Andor and K2 palling around.
How many women got triggered/aroused by this scene?
potentially not. andor is mainly walking and talking.
I'm worried that in the last couple episodes they're gonna do something retarded and confirm the Jedi Luthen theory and have him start force pushing Dedra around or whatever.
Beat the kid until the ADHD goes away
Calling it now Lonni and Dedra will work on the Death Star, making them obviously dead until a hack writer wants to them live and do nothing else important
I'd be amazed (in the bad way) if we get anymore force stuff. I'm half expecting Luthen to have the shop rigged to blow and sets it off when he gets confronted by Dedra.
They confirmed that Cassian is Force Sensitive already.
Honestly, it feels hard to call it a genocide or massacre when half the people in the plaza were armed and they were literally passing molotovs around in preparation.
killing Syril in the dumbest way possible
What a great way to ruin an entire series.
What's even the point of this show? Build things up for 0 payoff?
Come up with interesting ideas then fail halfway through?
You don't kill a character without a purpose. This served literally no purpose. And it was telegraphed a mile away.
Well, you won't see me defending this shit again.
Yeah those p*lestinians got what they deserved
The purpose is a morality tale of what you get for being a fascist bootlicker. Only by the end he realized what he had done, but it was too late to fix it. The people who got hurt as a result of his actions got to him first - even if he did not intend it. The point of his character is tragic cautionary tale.
20 armed people
kill thousands and send out the terminators to stomp around the streets killing anyone they come across
They were vague and just had the Force sensitive lady babble about how he's going to be important (Get it? It's because he's in Rogue One!). I don't think he's actually Force sensitive. Still, I have to imagine all the people who groan at Jedi stuff must've been rolling their eyes out of their sockets at that shit.
I thought it was more about fence sitting, he had vague moral ideals and if he fell on one side or the other he could have lived longer
Imagine hating force stuff in a fucking star wars show
:(
Six Million Ghormans???, Really Mon
left the building to go stand in a crowd
Bad writing.
randomly fights Andor
Relies on 1 in a million coincidence. Extremely bad writing.
old man shows up to kill him
Perfect timing. Another example of bad writing.
This was pure unfiltered Disney slop at its worst. The only reason you're trying to justify it is because you're so used to shit that this seems good by comparison.
Holy shit anon this stuff just goes right over your head doesn't it
And..?
Half the reason to watch this show was that there weren't any j*di, but then Bix found religion I guess and so we had to endure some Force schizo mumbling about the future.
they wuz armed! killing civilians is fair game!
Is not mumbling if it's true
This series is great and I don't really care about the starwars shit.
Is anything besides this show just as good? Have watched the first 6 flicks but they just aren't for me.
Syril Karn more like Syril Kwab
Even the fucking bellhop at the hotel pulled out a fucking bomb
The monster screaming the loudest, the monster he helped create, the monster that will come for us all soon enough, is ???
Nixon? Bush?
SHEEV PALPATINE
Bro she fucking sensed him immediately before they even called out to her. He is Force sensitive. Get over it.
Felt weird to talk about the Emperor as "the monster that screams the loudest" when Palpatine literally hasn't had a spoken line throughout the whole show and elsewhere is generally portrayed as a fairly composed orator.
There are people mad that this retconned Rebels btw.
Senator called BAIL
Doesn't BAIL at the first sign of trouble
Woah
Please share screens and links
Melshi owns Andors old blaster
Good
*gets vaporised before doing literally anything*
If you didn't like the films, then not really. There is nothing much like Andor in terms of tone and dialogue. Everything else is closer to films than to this. Andor is a good sci-fi show that happens to be Star Wars, but it's not really Star Wars in the classical sense.
What did it retcon? As far as I recall, Rebels picks up right where they left off with getting Mon Mothma to Dantooine to call together the Alliance.
why the fuck do you retards even watch star wars then?
Someone explain to me right fucking now how Bail gains 100 pounds within a year
I hate that this series makes me give a shit about Star Wars because I know there's just nothing left for me after next week.
midichlorians
Force schizos can sense regular people too
Rebels was shit anyway outside of two scenes with Clone Wars characters, lmao. It was retarded TV-Y7 rated garbage that aired on DisneyXD and replaced a better cartoon that Disney cancelled. It should be erased from continuity for introducing fucking time travel alone.
What the fuck was the point of recasting Bail when he's in it for 5 minutes? He didn't even do anything in this arc.
The guy on the left said shit! Said SHIT in a SW show! A DISNEY show!
Is there any reason to watch after Syril's random death? Kind of lost interest in the show. I don't think I'll be able to watch any of it without a sour taste at this point.
i think that just means the old lady is force sensitive, but the force is with andor, and she felt it.
none of the dialog options let you disagree with her
Shit writer self insert
Might be because I'm an old EU fag but force sensitives sensed normal dudes that are "destined" to do important stuff all the time.
lorelets dont know that everyone is force sensitive in star wars
I just see people enjoying how well this leads into s3e18 Secret Cargo
I don't watch Star Wars. I watch Andor.
I guess to make his death seem a little more noble? Like he could have gone to Yavin but decided to do fuck all and get blown up
Andor is perfection. It is classic Star Wars in every sense of that word.
What's he thinking right now?
Well, Andor said that she'll be taken to Yavin, in Rebels she goes to Dantooine; in Andor, Bail stays on Coruscant, in Rebels he's on Yavin. There are also other inconsistencies, like Saw's behavior.
dexter jettster
Nervous eating because of the rebellion and stuff
Vindicated.
The point is that the people serving and contstituting the system are also victims of it. Syril, Dedra, the other ISB supervisors, even big players like Krennic, they're all pawns to be used and discarded once they've served their purpose. An ideology built on mere abstraction inevitably dehumanizes all of its subjects.
He appears on Yavin in Rogue One, right before going back to Alderaan. Unless he has major scenes in the last arc, I genuinely think they could have had Breha in his place without the need to recast.
I hope next week establishes what the fuck he is actually doing.
Don't you want to see Dedra's random death?
he's thinking about cock. i bet he gives excellent head. i want to fill that chin crack with my cum.
I need to get laid
no idea who that is. Probably some YouTube faggot. Stop watching that shit.
filoni retcons previous work
"lol whatever who cares about that nerd shit"
another show retcons something of filoni's
"WTF LUCASFILM DROPPED THE BALL"
People are weird.
bix nood making the selfless sacrifice and leaviing him so he can be the hero we all need made me wanna fucking vomit, but otherwise it was ok with moments of minimal and selective eyerolling here and there
I just want to see Saw blow some shit up with his space gas bomb.
Brasso
Shot and killed by a random stormtrooper offscreen
Pajeeta
Shot off screen by random ghorman kid
Cereal Kwab
Randomly headshotted by the nazi from inglorious basterds
That means Luthen is randomly going to be killed by Cassian.
He should have a scene where he shares a conversation with Luthen over a nice burger, maybe he could ask if anyone has seen Obi Wan in a while? Maybe he could ask where Ashoka is? Better yet let’s have Ashoka show up for the last few episodes
Pretty sure only a bunch of redditors care. Barely anyone watched Rebels. It aired exclusively on DisneyXD - a channel that no one had - and people did not watch it on principle, because Disney cancelled Clone Wars back then. Its fans are just loud as fuck and weird.
no i cant go with you i will stay here and fight the good fight somehow
*gets blown up on alderaan*
Well done Bail.
Well, Andor said that she'll be taken to Yavin, in Rebels she goes to Dantooine
Watch the show. They talk about changing the plan and having her do another speech.
in Andor, Bail stays on Coruscant, in Rebels he's on Yavin.
I think that's just them explaining why Bail didn't go with her. Him and Leia are still members of the Senate as of R1/ANH, while Mon is in exile.
Classic Gilroy Bourne episode to finish the arc
Why is this faggot obsessed with wolves?
spinning flying ligtsabers
fucking time travel
Absolute Filoni slop
Makes sense since he doesn't want too much attention to Leia
Why are you even trying to come up with a message when there clearly wasn't one? His death was completely random. No set up. No logic. He just feels the universe calling him to walk over to Andor so he can get shot unceremoniously by the guy who was advocating for pacifism just 10 minutes ago. Nothing about it made sense.
I do like seeing how Andor just dgafs and blasts pretty much anyone even if it's unnecessary
There's a small possibility Mon Mothma is the one who kills Luthen now that she's seen Cassian fuck shit up and what it takes
His death was completely random.
Nope, his death arrives when his arch nemesis asks "Who are you? ".
why did this character act on his motivation
This show isn’t stupid, you’re stupid!
The lack of Mas Amedda a bit weird in the senate.
Andor is a good sci-fi show that happens to be Star Wars, but it's not really Star Wars in the classical sense.
It's why I like it desu
So "shit" is canon now. Who is going to make a wookiepedia entry on this??
Shooting the driver felt like a bad case of the writers forgetting about the stun function on blasters.
How, he's on Coruscant and she's on Yavin IV.
Anon, I sympathize with the emotional turmoil you might be experiencing at the loss of a character that you liked. But the point was made. It makes sense. Death does happen like that. I'm not sure what you expected, that Syril joins the rebels?
He served the Empire in infiltrating the Ghorman resistance, realized that he got played, but it was too late to do anything. His complicity with being a cog in the system got him shot in the head, even if he wasn't outright evil.
They used "shit" in season 1 too. Within the first 3 episodes, if I remember correctly.
Nah, Andor is an angry killer now like his first scene in Rogue One
Used to
At this point you're not even arguing. You're just contradicting everything I say.
You're forgetting the year time skips. She'll probably have her short hair in the next arc too
now
He killed the 2 corpos and that one guy from the heist that suggested they take the money and run.
be 2007 or 2008?
big star wars fan
that new animated clone wars movie is on theaters
go to theater
ask if they have the movie on its original language (I don't live on America but I don't watch dubs) they said is only dubbed
welp I just go home
some time later I watch a random episode on cartoon network
is a jar jar episode
I change the channel
That's the story of why I never watched the clone wars cartoon
That last episode was the most Gilroy thing I've seen from him since Bourne Identity
That's just a fat ass, not a good ass. Probably full of cellulite.
I still can't believe it took this fucking long for K2 to show up.
Look man im just trying to explain it to you. I can't MAKE you understand. Be mad if you want.
The Clone Wars cartoon has a few genuinely good arcs but I think fitting into the greater canon was always kinda retarded. Like when episode 3 is going on Anakin’s sexy orange apprentice is fighting Darth Maul on the Mandolorian planet
choke your wife kino
Bix is the worst character of the show. Completely useless, but sure takes a lot of screentime. She is the creator's torture fetish, sits at home crying and doing drugs, and then she fucks off. She is not even relevant, since Cassian falls in love with Jyn, and Bix is not even mentioned or implied anywhere in R1.
You didn't miss much
I've really started to hate Dee Bradley Baker's clone voice in the last couple of years, I'm not sure why.
It’s kinda of an obligatory addition but he doesn’t fit in tone wise to the show. He’s a very silly character but you’d think him and Andor were friends for years based on how they act
Bail would never say this. I hate them using IRL swear words. Just say "Give them hell" or something.
You definitely have to watch it with an episode guide. It's episodic (remember when series weren't all just super long movies broken up into chunks?) and there's a fair number of goof-off episodes for the kiddos that can be totally skipped.
When he screams all I can hear is Klaus from American Dad
Was the actress Lunas girlfriend or something?
Episode 3 is shit, and one is better off watching Clone Wars, instead of that whiny retard faggot Hayden Christiansen and witnessing the humiliation ritual of James Earl Jones saying "WHERE IS PADME" and screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Clone Wars is unironically a better prequel to the OT than the prequels themselves, and lines up better in what Ben Kenobi was saying and its portrayal of Darth Vader.
Kek
and one is better off watching Clone Wars,
calls someone else whinny faggot
”This is a rebellion isn't it? I rebel".
They cut that line, didn’t they? It’s not actually in the movie. Which is good since it’s awful.
sploosh
reddit filename
ESL retard
Checks out.
Point still stands.
Fuck off filoni cuck
I swear, Andor's life is just pure suffering and we all knows he's just going to die
Star Wars public trackers are faster than private these days.
Hi, Anon Babble!
he doesn’t fit in tone wise to the show
Neither did Karn with how fucking cartoony he acted in S1, but they made it work eventually. I genuinely think the writers just didn't want to have a droid character.
Disney plus is faster :)
But he sacrifice ends up saving the galaxy!
gets sequel trilogy'd
Disney preys on retards with smart TVs who don't know how to torrent things.
I love this nigga like you wouldn't believe
I'm a leaf in the wind, watch how I AAAAGGHHH
Anakin’s sexy orange apprentice
That's a child...
God don't remind me. We spend all this time with Mon and we know it's for fucking nothing.
Speaking of, I wonder if they'll talk about her family or if Perrin has been enjoying the ISB electroshock torture.
terminators
just throws them instead of killing it's targets
K2s
throws them and kills them
Terminators btfo
Space legal
I love ai
JUST'd
The pottery if Bix ends up on a Rebel mission on the Death Star right when Luke blows it up would be too kino for me
Is it weird that they were basically framing K2 as a replacement for Bix?
I will make it legal
so that's why Anakin joined Palpatine
Was that Alan Tudyk?
Yes
That'd be retarded
A classic trope (and this is why so welcomed in Star Wars).
that one throws the ghorman lady
think "oh here we go she'll be winded but run away"
she's fucking dead
everyone they throw into walls or across the plaza fucking dies
I was really caught off guard by that.
tfw no more Syril theories to talk about anymore
It was the obvious outcome but I’m still sad it didn’t go off the rail with comfy Syril and Andor buddy rebel adventures
The costuming in this show is insane.
Literally a split second away from Syril joining the Rebellion. No wonder the guy who killed him was crying
What he should've said here is "May the force be with you". It's that simple.
It would've been classy, thematic, hint at his connections and show who's side he's on.
Yes it's a bit fanservicy but this is a fucking Star Wars show.
While Filoni goes all hands on deck with pandering, fanservice and memberberries, Gilroy sometimes goes too far the other way and makes these tiny slips that just bring this show down to generic modern steaming TV. We
It could have ended no other way really.
It's better than the Star Wars alternatives that just don't sound right.
karabast, poodoo, ect for shit
malachor for hell
Well he'd die sure, we all know Andor is go in by to die too. I just didn't expect Syril to just be shot in the head instakilled
Force is for the cowards like Today and Obi-Wan, along with the rest of Jedi (except Qui-Gon).
This Bail recast is fine I guess but I just can't see him as the same guy who saw George Lucas's literal son get blasted in front of him
"may the force be with you" seems like a very silly phrase for the rebels to use
they aren't force users, they don't give a shit. for all they know the Jedi were just a bunch of crusty self-appointed incompetent assholes who have essentially nothing in common with the average person in the galaxy
She had a dream
malachor for hell
wut
Your Tauntaun will freeze before you hit the first marker
Then I'll see you in hell! yah
All the rebels being hopeful that one day, all their hard work will pay off and how important it is to never give up fighting
When they finally do win, the New Republic almost immediately becomes corrupt and gets wiped out
This time instead of bits from all over the galaxy coming together to be the Rebellion, the Resistance has barely anyone and people just accept being conquered, maybe because they don't want to bother trying after how the last Rebellion didn't lead to anything lasting.
It's all so depressing that this is meaningless
I always felt like "may the force be with you" being said between non-jedi is kinda weird.
Weird in the way an athiest saying "god be with you" would be weird.
This Bail recast is fine I guess but I just can't see him as the same guy
we need that young latino cop from that 90s cop show
that one with the older white partner who mentored another younger partner before and after the latino cop?
exactly
I know just the guy
Well now that the massacre happened already I'm curious what the 3rd arc will be. Wonder if it will be just another mission to lead to Rogue One or if they have something more lined up
Kinda liked that scene where Bomb Boy was freaked out by Andor being an absolute madman flying around Yavin 4
Bnnuy incoming
The sequel trilogy did not happen
They said it in the original film during the death star attack briefing. Rebels loved the Jedi, believed in them and were inspired by them. It was a rebellion to restore the republic, and the Jedi were it's guardians of peace and justice, who were all unjustly murdered.
Force religions are common in the setting and have existed beyond the Jedi since the beginning. "May the Force be with you" is the equivalent of "God be with you". Also it's pretty clear that within the Rebellion, the Jedi are mythologized.
ISB and Luthen.
We know Dedra finally catches up to the Coruscant antique shop
We know Mothma's sister confronts Cassian for some reason
The only remaining question is whether there's cameos
This is the moment you understood she actually feel something for him
She could have got him arrested but instead she offered him to enjoy what's coming next
the question is why cereal cared about that planet?
Did he feel used? Of course but he knew the idea was defeat the rebellion
He complaint about the planet future. Why, why did he care for that?
All of them
The rebel leader who plans the Death Star attack said it all the way back in 77, and Ackbar says it in Jedi.
The show in general has some high quality production value. It feels lived in.
I'm aware. I just don't agree with the choice
Doesn't really make sense to me. Dude was huffing gas with Saw Gerrera not long ago. I'm surprised the dude would have a shred of self-preservation left in him after riding with Saw.
How can the Separatists be right when the entire war was Palpatine's master keikaku to kill the jedi and form the empire
He complaint about the planet future. Why, why did he care for that?
He wasn't a deranged psychotic lunatic, he believed in order to a fault, justice, all that kind of thing.
So will the Emperor show up in the final episodes?
Possibly
And Leia (de facto leader in the original film) knows Ben Kenobi, a Jedi, and her father Bail Organa served with him during the war. Kinda weird that Andor never even mentioned the Jedi. Or the fuck that they were fucking massacred to a child.
If more people realized that "genocide" and "ethnic cleansing" can be as tame as forcing people out of an area or making all their children learn a different language I think far fewer people would care.
the idea was defeat the rebellion
Lol no. Idea was to cultivate cases belli for further devastation of the planet. And at the last episode Syrill realised it.
While I don't disagree that those things can qualify as genocide, that's not what most people mean when they use the word.
:(
Seems like an arbitrary thing to get snagged on
I doubt it. It's really ominous when the officers talk about him but we never see him.
In 2010 LA was 1/3rd Mexican.
Now it is 2/3rds Mexican.
Just sayin.'
One can easily lead to physical extermination, like native Americans who also were told "guys just move to a different place".
Andor never even sees a Jedi, the closest he gets is the Guardians of the Whills and that Force Healer.
Seems like they are taking it back.
Natives were mostly killed by disease brought by the Spanish. By the time the British even arrived the "genocide" had already happened. Civilizations like the Mississipians had completely collapsed. Colonial America was basically a post-apocalyptic world.
No. Confirmed not to appear since Gilroy didn't want to.
The cameo will be X-Wings finally going into fucking attack position
Remind me when did Spaniards ever came closer to Alabama or Kentucky, or great Lakes?
They didn't need to. Smallpox spread on its own.
We fought a 400 year war against the tribes of this continent often with significant losses on both sides until the late 19th century, go fuck yourself homo, they lost fair and square.
Then why you needed to built reservation if nine survived? Or ignore your own court decisions if all Cherokee were dead?
Bix leaving really was the ultimate woman moment
I know you’ve been on the frontline for years
everyone you’ve made a connection expect for me is dead now
buuuut an old woman said we have destinies
I’m kinda spiritual
so I’m gonna go find myself now bye :)
lowkey gilroy show us how
you need to forget pussy to achieve greatness otherwise you'll take dumb decision
And yet you are crying that competition with anime is not fair and call it national security issue.
I'm not denying the reservations or anything else. Read what I said. That the actual "genocide" happened due to disease and everything that we think of when we think of the Native Americans was basically a bunch of Mad Max tier tribals living in the ruins of their once Maya-tier civilization.
What the fuck are you talking about I'm not Donald Trump
Seems pointless to bother with the actual massacre when they had so much information control. Just blow up an empty transport with a fake passenger list and claim the rebels did it. That's as much pretext as the Empire has ever needed to do what it wants.
did a chink coof on you personally or do you still not understand how viruses travel crazy fast
Don't make another thread. Sick of star wars
They were numerous enough to force US establish professional army and use it to clear way for MidWest expansion.
They weren't numerous in the slightest, the US was in no position to lose at any time and it was simply the realities of dealing with hostile groups across a massive territory. You're probably European and don't realize how fucking big the US is.
It's pointed out in the first episode
1) Ghorman is influential planet with strong allies in the Core Worlds (backbone of Palpatine support)
2) if everything is staged information might find way to the Senate, which will stall imperial efforts of seizing planet as quick as possible
Apparantly episode 10 is Luthen's backstory so hang in there
I really deeply dislike the idea of the force
It feels disappointing that the fate of the galaxy is so often entwined with the force conflict of Jedi vs. Sith, especially when in the OT the Jedi are shown to be just really stupid, emotionless and lazy (and abducting children from their homes to train into their weird-ass order and a dozen other things)
The Jedi and the Sith have both used the force as a tool to exercise power. The rebellion shouldn't owe allegiance to some wonderful fairy dust shit, even if it's real in the universe. Then again, none of the writers know what the fuck the force even is, so whatever. Thanks for the midichlorians, George.
see guys, our genocide is actually justified by Manifesting our destiny
I thought they were armed too at first but those were noisemakers they were waving in the air. The only armed protesters were the 12 or so main rebels we have been acquainted with.
I don't think the Jedi, the force or lightsabers or anything like that was even referenced in this show until the "force healer" bit.
Pretty sure "hell" is far more lorebreaking than "shit"
Concept of Hades already exists in the Star Wars universe.
The Force is one of the main things that distinguishes Star Wars from other sci-fi settings. It's been integral to the story from the beginning. If you don't like it, why are you watching Star Wars? Just for the aesthetics?
It's like reading Dune and complaining about all the stuff about prescience.
I sorta agree. It's partly why I like kotor 2 so much (although it goes up it's own ass many times) with Kriea and others talking about how many times a conflict just between force users ends up with millions dead.
Mon mothball is still following the orders from Luthen
A true leader of the pre-rebellion network apparently. The top.
would feel super out of place and wouldn't be "fan service" to the people watching Andor, just retarded faggots like that 70iq star wars mutt.
Cyril and Andor met in Season 1 briefly but Andor completely forgot about Cyril all these years whereas Cyril has been unable to get over it. Cyril is actually the one who believes in a cause and yearns to be important in the grand scheme of things. He wants to leave a mark. That's why Andor's "who are you?" is a giant diss at his entire existence.
Based
One thing I find amusing about the sequel films is that they still reference the midichlorians via blood or life, aka force. It's all repurposing for the sake of the story
The Force is one of the main things that distinguishes Star Wars from other sci-fi settings
>Punished Cassa
They also mention "M count" in regards to something in blood too in some of the other shows.
did nothing again
Absolute fraud
mon mothma has an m-count of 3
I don't know, I see it being used more and more frequently referring to Palestine, where Israel is obviously going for more of the slow and steady Uyghur type genocide and they aren't going to be firing up the ovens any time soon.
Ok, quick rephrase
I don't dislike the concept of the force, I dislike how its often misappropriated as this big theatrical power for good that must win in the end, and even in the sequel trilogy we can rest assured that under the tutelage of Rey, the Jedi order will survive!
The force in my interpretation should be about smaller, gentler things and everyday actions, not this fucking robe dressup game and lightsabers. It's kind of like the difference between faith and religion. The force healer here was an acceptable addition, but I cannot muster to give even a single shit about the fucking Jedi order again.
LIES!
DECEPTION!
He's obviously talking about the Force
Man he deserved better.
See, I like the way KOTOR 2 reflects on it, but it deeply indulges in it too and they're well aware of the hypocrisy of that. That's what makes KOTOR 2 work where other things fail. It makes the ultimate concession that all the criticisms it has for the setting are moot because "fixing" the setting would just kill it.
There's a reason I said "one of".
It's old school star wars in the classic expanded universe sense, which is even better
I will use this random andor post to explain the force. it is objectively two things. first being both a literal and figurative interpretation of what Joseph Campbell defined as a “force of storytelling” ie the random coincide of events in fiction which propel the plot. the second is a direct homage of dune’s interpretation of the sisterhood and mentats, ie elevated human evolution. the force was intimately and consciously interwoven between these two concepts when lucas began the first drafts of the star war
One of the episodes will be Saw finding the imperial pilot. Final episode will probably be Luthen getting killed and then Andor going off to free Jyn. I'm wondering what happens with Dedra though. Does Andor kill her? Do her and Luthen kill each other? Does Krennic kill her for whatever reason? Or does she just survive but one of the last scenes is Krennic giving her a job on the Empire's brand new battle station?
A lot of people seem to forget that the original force in Episode IV really was just a mystical concept, it had zero bearing on the physical world. Only mind tricks, audio lures, and voices from beyond the grave
luke, you turned off your targeting computer, what’s wrong?
He never got to point the finger at Luthen.
Just put it more simply: you don't like the Jedi. Fair enough, even I would actually agree that the setting is a bit too quick to default to the Jedi as the end-all-be-all of the light side of the Force. That said, complaining excessively about the Jedi and lightsabers is a bit stupid. To return to Dune, it's like grumbling about too much focus on sand worms. You can definitely have stories in the setting that don't revolve around the worms, but at the end of the day people just like the worms.
That was the force suggesting when to shoot
None of this telekinesis stuff
I will never apologize to George
He fucked it
storm the capitol!
stop the count!
I JUST WITNESSED KINO BEYOND COMPREHENSION
holy shit
Gilroy i fucking kneel
What, are we gonna act like ESB took things too far?
3 episodes left, all of them next week. Will they even give us Palpatine? He still has to abolish the senate.
Never ever
as is 1977 not withstanding retcons empire forward
leia’s cruiser just HAPPENED to be over tatooine when vader caught them
and the droids just HAPPENED to be found by luke
who just HAPPENED to be looking for ben
and when luke and ben meet, he just HAPPENED to know his father, who was killed by vader
this is all The Force (TM). for fun, the plot forward is less reliant on coincidence. han had no connection to ben or luke or leia, mild normal coincidence he had a smuggling ship to get to alderaan
Doesn't the senate get dissolved after ANH?
During. Just before the destruction of Alderaan.
bail gets fired and vaporized the same day
F. We better get a Syril figure.
Fantasybros, we need to show the scifitards their place.
The Force is a conscious being, even if people aren't Force sensitive, they can still let themselves be guided by the will of the Force by meditating on the balance of light and dark side like Chirrut.
Do you even watch Star wars or read any novels?
Jedi is just one of the Force religions. There are others like the Dagoyan Order. The Force is connected to all living beings, and the Force is what gives life to the galaxy. May the Force be with you is wishing others good lives.
stays in the senate to do nothing
senate gets dissolved
gets blown up on alderaan before he can do anything
Bravo Palpatine. Making sure Bail stays "the guy who is really important to the rebellion but never does anything".
3,720 to 1
The chud is dead.
Damn I feel the same way
I'm on mobile so I didn't read half the posts.
Anyone mention the glowing false flag start to the battle of Ghor?
Imp sniper headshotting a random imp guard to start the chaos
That's when she fell harder than ever for him. Which makes his dead even harder on her
In Rebels, They before knowing who they're about to transport, they watch a snippet of her senate speech on the (state owned) holonet news. She is very calm while giving it and calls Palpatine a lying executioner. Zeb comments that he's suprised she's still breathing.
IT'S HECKIN' GOOD TO SEE THE CHUDERINO GET WHAT WAS COMING TO HIM
So we don't get to see Ghorman population being evicted? We don't get to see the drilling process? We don't get to see the planet collapse? What kind of anticlimactic shit is this? I want to see total relocation of Gaza... i mean Ghormans OFF their planet! I want to see them scream, as they are loaded on transports and dropped in the middle of Tatooine desert with no water!
There's some shit from the trailers that hasn't happened yet like Dedra drawingba blaster in Luthen's shop, and a different scene of Kleya all frazzled /saying "they've built a weapon!"
Jedi Luthen seems like a stretch, but in 9 he seemed to imply that The Force has been making Cassian's decisions for him. He listed off all the shit Cassian's been doing and included Narkina V which was just him being in the wrong place at the wrong time, not a mission he went on.
Why are you saying it like it wasn't a huge plot point of the episode? This wasn't some small detail that everyone is going to miss
The Force flows through us all.
I'm a poltard so I think Yidsney exposing the public to the CIA's MKULTRA tactics is kinda fucking insane
That shit's crazier than the attempted rape or whatever (who cares)
He was one of the rebels, they showed him in their underground base earlier.
The only difference I saw was she has her Rogue One hair, and Bail Organa was beside Dodonna on Yavin watching her speech given from The Ghost. But in this he says he'll meet here there next year, he still has shit to do.
What did Vel read on it? I do remember he gave one to him on Niamos.
His hatred of bricks and love of maple syrup.
I would sacrifice the entire planet to bring cyrill back. Thats how much I dont care about those french faggots. k2 bots are also terrifying in this.
She recognized it was Cassian's but knew he wasn't on Yavin.
Filoni retconned Ahsoka wearing white robes at the epilogue scene of Rebels when he made her not do that in Ahsoka series. Because of the way Sabine narrates the epilogue, it seems as if she's the one who has been telling the story. Just look at it as her getting minor details wrong, and the live action stuff is what really happened. Or if you don't have autism, don't do that.
It was a Pre-More blaster from the security forces on Ferrix. He had it with him on Aldhani and she recognized it from back then.
It's blaster from Aldhani heist (either Nemik, or the cop who was killed by Cassian in season 1).
I dont get what happened the writing is fine the production is good all the pieces are there it just doesnt click for me. Andor is such an unlikerble protagonist. And the wrest are kinda meh outside of luthen or saw.
Andor is such an unlikerble protagonist.
Lol
Lmao
sexoooooo
WOULD
she's trash for fucking that black dude
gently dabbing on Filing cartoons
Bravo Gilroy
