I genuinely enjoyed the game when it came out during the summer of love 2020. The story was so retarded it looped around to being kino. The gameplay was what impressed me most though. It had the nastiest and most visceral killing people mechanics since Manhunt 2. The contrast between the evil murder sim gameplay and the "woke" story was hilarious.

Gameplay made me love it even though I thought the first was overrated (still good, but nowhere near one of the best games ever). Hated having the story reset from the beginning when I got to the Abby half as much as everyone else, but I got over it once I realized the Abby half was even more fun than the Ellie half.

Yeah, the detail and nuance in the killing of people (and dogs) is very disturbing and reminds me of Manhunt 1 and 2. I didn't mind the story because it was so ridiculous and made me laugh a lot.
