Well, they most likely won’t recast them. This will probably be set post-season 9 and won’t acknowledge seasons 10 and 11 as canon, or they might be dismissed as bad dreams (nothing new).

It will probably feature a Black male lead, with either an Asian or White female partner, and either Scully or Duchovny, most likely the former, as the director of the FBI. Duchovny will probably take on a new role similar to the Deep Throat/Smoking Man character. At least, that’s what was rumored a while ago.

They're both 100% done. Duchovny was done 25 years ago. They had to waive an enormous cheque in front of Duchovny's face just to get him to come back the first time around I can't imagine how much money they had to throw at him for the revival.

Nah, she said she is open to return only if Carter is not involved (he isn't, he only gave his blessing). And she had discussions with Coogler, atleast that's what he said. Duchovny said he won't join a revival if Carter isn't involved, but I guess he can be convinced if he likes the scripts.
