the deleted scenes perfectly folded back into the movie with color correction and added badalamenti music to make them match

all the added stuff is so much better this way instead of watching it disjointed in "the missing pieces"

Why would I watch some retarded "miniseries" edit instead of the Blue Rose fan edit that just inserts the deleted scenes where the script says they belong

yeah, there are a few edits out there
the blue rose one that you mentioned doesn't include all the deleted stuff, there's a "Q2" edit which is probably the most well-known since it was made over a decade ago, but that doesn't include everything either, and both of them seem pretty "fan" quality too in terms of edit ability

this one does that too, but this one seems to have been made by a professional editor and it's fucking flawless, plus it's sourced from the german 4K disc so the picture quality is way better than the other two
and the miniseries thing works a lot better than having to sit through an awkwardly paced 4 hour movie in my opinion, all the episodes have a natural end point too, really can't recommend it enough

Better than the Q2 edit with all the bits edited back in? I liked Q2, but really the only part that is necessary is the Philip Jeffries/convenience store separation.

oh man, the cut fwwm content was the holy grail for twin peaks fan
everyone knew about them since the early 90s (90 minutes of cut scenes with a ton of the actors from the show that didn't appear in the theatrical cut) but the rights were in some weird legal loophole with the french distributors
they were never made available to public until 2014 when they finally got cleared for the first blu ray release of the series
really felt like we'd never get to see them
and then, not long after that, season 3 got announced
was a pretty exciting time to be a twin peaks fan

I just watched the first two episodes and it's kino. Really nicely put together. Pennsylvania 6 5000 playing over the happy dinner table scene and fading into Laura whoring herself to that truck driver had me recreating picrel. I'll download the next two now and watch them tomorrow. Thanks, anon and OP.
