ITT: TV shows that managed to never have a single weak episode
ITT: TV shows that managed to never have a single weak episode
It has like 12 episodes in total.
Yes? Do you think a show needs 300 episodes to be good?
I generally agree but it got weaker in the second and third seasons without Graham Linehan.
Holy shit I can't believe this show is 25 years old
Based.
Gunsmoke has 635 episodes, the majority of them hour long episodes, and there's not a single bad one
Plonked.
18
3 series
no but not having a laugh track is a big prereq
Hardcore autists always say this. It's weird how something as commonplace as a studio audience makes your 'tism flare up.
ah-ha
I think it's just that autists don't like hearing people laugh because they assume those people must be laughing at them.
I need to fuck Fran
It has 18 episodes
Imagine her telling you to wank off as she acts sickened and disgusted and pretends to be your mum.
Maybe. Either way I think we need to start culling autists.
Can't believe everyone involved in the show is dead now
True Detective (season 1 only) did not have any really weak episodes
Are you forgetting the Hen Party?
Dylan Moran has great old man energy. He was only 28 as Bernard Black
The after-school special episode was great
Dylan Moran stopped drinking and got divorced so he may as well be dead. Hope Fran isnt too walled she was hot
Alot of the british classics are this way because they have less than 15 episodes and dont do filler like american shows
Only 12 episodes but practically flawless.
I generally love British comedies but Black Books was more of a miss to me than a hit. I didn't even have sky-high expectations to begin with!
He should start drinking again. His latest sitcom is about him being in a relationship with a woman who previously dated another woman. How fucking topical and dull
She's managed to avoid a head-on with the wall.
It's an illusion because all season 1 episodes are mediocre.
holy S EX
I need her to shit all over my face
I saw his stand up and he was ranting about Trump kek
Peep Show had over 50 episodes and didn't have any bad ones
The silver lining of this only getting 8 episodes is that we never saw it go to shit. Some of the storylines they had worked up for subsequent seasons sounded kinda dumb
series
just call them seasons you fucking dicks
No
why do british TV seasons have so few episodes? the IT crowd is like that too, each season only has six episodes
muttoid english a butchered version of the real thing and is barely a couple centuries old
Lower production costs
Peak Portia.
If it had another season or two it'd be a classic for sure
Ooooooh its a good paper!
Great show, short and sweet
Total Ellen death
I've watched Frisky Dingo at least 3 times yearly for the past decade and every episode is still fucking funny every single time.
I like to know when it’s appropriate to laugh, nowadays I am not sure if a show is drama, comedy, horror, sci fi or gay porn.
French kino.
This show didn't deserve to die.
Well makes it easier to have no bad episodes don't it, the show I chose has each episode only about 2 minutes long so there's little chance to make something bad.
The US has a hundred TV channels versus like 6 in the UK.
There just isn't enough prime time space on the air for every successful show to have 20+ episodes a year. At least not if you want to keep your heavily government subsidised film and television industry alive. You need to keep all the writers, actors, show runners and producers employed. UK media is basically a soft form of socialism for an already wealthy and privileged minority funded by the working stiff. It's not about profit maximisation but rather making sure to share the wealth around to all your mates evenly.
Embarrassing
I'm reading Bloch's Psycho and this guy fits the Norman Bates book description. Of course we all think of Perkins iconic movie Norman Bates
The election episode still makes me laugh myself to tears.
