It craps out once in a while but they're pretty quick to update. I swear it seems like it's just tug of war between ad blockers and YouTube at this point.

They really aren't. I've gotten ads for ad blockers on youtube. A bit ironic really. I also have history and tracking turned off so when ads do slip though it's for dumb shit like auto insurance and shitty phone services.

I use a firefox extension called Youtube redux. It takes about 30 seconds longer for videos to load, but I never get any ads. Ever.

You'd be surprised how many normies fell for the myth that:
A) It's supporting their favorite creators, actors, etc
B) It's stealing from their favorite creators, actors, sites, etc

I've had to use the internet without adblockers a few times, and it's fine on regular sites since you just get some shampoo ad on the side that doesn't really disrupt anything. But then you go on youtube and it's the absolute fucking worst.

First you have to sit through ads just to be allowed to watch the video and then the video gets interrupted by more ads along the way. And once those ads are over, the video doesn't resume where it left off, but actually skips a second or two.

ads are the #1 vector for malware and 0day exploits, blocking them is common sense. any suggestion otherwise is someone looking to steal from you or a liar.

The TV youtube app wont let me skip ads using the "!" trick anymore, so I just block every last ad that comes on, and have been getting obly 5 second ads recently. 3, 5 seconds ad in a 10 minute video seems reasonable to me, but anything beyond that is a no go, so Ill back out, click history tab and start from there with no ads
