it was like this
you could work at a local business as a cashier or something menial and you didn't have to worry about being able to find a place to live or whatever
there were no background checks even at this point, everything was done by a firm handshake

yes

What kind of nonsense question is that? Just start a Seinfeld thread without some vague bullshit that doesn't make sense.

What are you, an ex con or something? Who's worried about background checks?

Sometimes i wonder

here, save this.

More the income verification than the criminal check.

The 20s are this easy.

Wasn’t Jerry’s rent only $400? He could clear that from doing a couple weekend shows. Now that same apartment would be over $3,000 and shows would still only pay a couple hundred.

And he still had plenty of money to have a gym membership, basically eat out at least once a day and buy decent clothes.

Not to mention having 10 different cereals at any given time

The 90s were awesome for me. I was in middle and high school and taped Seinfeld on VHS the last couple seasons. I was middle class and had just good enough Nike Airs as not to get made fun of. I got 10 tapes (and later CDs) for 1 penny from BMG and Columbia House. I got my permit when I was 15 and license at 16 and a $800 car from mom and dad and the Texaco card. We could buy coffee and cigarettes on the card in some gas station markets and sit in booths and smoke and talk about girls we liked and figure out how we could date them like Jerry and George.
There were BBS and then the beginning of the internet if you had a dial-up modem. Some cool Seinfeld fan pages to be seen. I remember Lycos and Yahoo and Google and Alta Vista all seemed to have equal footing at one time. Google was later than the others even.
There was really awesome weed that smelled like skunk that they don't even have anymore. Bums would buy us beer and we had big parties when the parents left town.
We had some fun and not so fun summer jobs. Got into some trouble but still graduated and left the nest with a bright future ahead.
I loved the 90s. And Seinfeld always reminds me of those great times growing up in suburban America with a great childhood and parents who loved us and set us up for success.
I have always been grateful for the life I've had. I can't stay depressed or upset about anything for too long. So many have had it worse.
Through it all was Seinfeld and then shortly after it ended Curb came along. It's like ever since I discovered comedy I like there's been a steady stream of it nonstop.

Verifying your income before giving you a job? Who does this? In which field, and where?

He would get flown to LA to do the Tonight Show even in the early seasons, always in talks with NBC. He wasn't the level of standup making so little. He was a somewhat recognized comedian in the universe of the show. Someone on the level of a Mark Normand or Dan Soder or a Stavros. Certainly those guys have comparable apartments.

You want to make this lame old argument do it about Friends. Jerry was successful and Elaine and George were too at different times. Kramer was the wildcard and his income was part of his mystery.
Friends had a beginner chef and failed acting students and servers and retail people and one science teacher guy and they lived in a huge loft with a view. Far more unbelievable, but it's still not a valid thing to bring up with these shows. Just a backdrop for the comedy. Not reflective of real lives and struggles. You relate to the personal issues of dating and etiquette, not apartment size and cab fare costs and all that.
Seems like so many people on Anon Babble can't get those kinds of thoughts out of their minds and suspend disbelief and properly enjoy media as intended.
Always these hangups and nitpicks about plot minutiae and things that regular people don't care about or even notice. lol, and always concerning the like most popular shit ever.

Man! What a bunch of buttoned-down worker bees.

Yeah; who needs that suit-and-tie crap? I write software in my underpants, and they still buy it, for $600K a pop.

youtube.com/watch?v=c-1tk0o59Qc&t=12m45s

Wtf Anon Babble, was life really this easy for Gen-X'ers in the late-90's? You just wrote a little bit of software for a company and became an instant millionaire?

weird. why would they still be on set on 9/11? wasn't the show already off the air?

Huh?

Yep, just that easy!

53423424234.jpg - 706x467, 59.1K

Yes, and you could smoke weed without going to another planet.

The US before 9/11 was the peak of modern western civilization

I know Anons will hate this but how exactly is life hard now?

I became a millionaire in my mid twenties due to bitcoin and while it wasn't super obvious or easy it was much more obvious, accessible and easier than anything the boomers got. In the 90s anyone who did this would probably have a genuine Einstein level IQ.

I was balding hard young, did 30 mins research on the internet and now my hair is great. In the 90s you were just fucked.

My home life was fairly awful but I was still able to excel academically and get into medical school. It would have been much harder for someone from a disadvantaged background to do this in the 90s.

Like I really just don't see how they had it better in any way. Maybe it was easier to live if you put in the absolute bare minimum and worked at a supermarket your whole life but there are just so many more opportunities nowadays for anyone vaguely intelligent and motivated.

Image 6.jpg - 799x789, 106.7K

The 90s was actually when I tripped the hardest on weed and got the closest to leaving the planet. I had closed eye visuals and extreme time distortion and intense body highs. It was really a trip. But I was new to it also. Tommy Chong says strong weed has always been available. Acapulco Gold was tested over 20% THC even in the 1960s. People overdo it with gummies and vape carts and shit these days but you could definitely smoke a blunt of mids or BC bud or even decent brick in the 90s and still go into orbit. You always could throughout history even. Terrence McKenna has all sorts of stories about Victorian hash parties where people were tripping their asses off in 'high' society.

we have to have a longer check-in at the airport now, boo-hoo!!!

9/11 didn't really change that much that fast. I was already an adult when it happened. I don't know why people see it as such a major turning point. Except that it kicked off some international conflicts that never really affected me all that much.
I think social media has made the world less peak than 9/11 ever did.

Nah, 9/11 was maybe a catalyst for things getting worse, but things were still pretty freaking good until at least 2012. By 2020 COVID ass raped whatever enjoyment I found from life.

Certain financial positions funny enough.

People who come online to bitch about boomers and nepotism and how Homer shouldn't own that house and Seinfeld was unrealistic are not even "vaguely intelligent or motivated" at all.
But you acknowledged that at the beginning of your post.

Most people here are bitter and lonely and feel left behind. The 90s angers them and shows where friends have fun together angers them. And unfortunately jews anger them, so there's another pointless strike against Sein.

Every generation has opportunity for those who want it. Terminally online incels don't want it bad enough or don't believe it exists because they believe lies they read online.

2570960087.gif - 398x224, 1.4M

No shit? I loved Covid. 2020 was like the Summer of Anon. I got $20,000 free unemployment money after getting laid off and just vegged out for a few years indoors. I got fat and then thin again and stayed pretty wasted. Then I finally went back out into the world again feeling well-rested. A bunch of people turned into schizos and weirdos but not me. I never even caught Covid. And the vaccines didn't kill me either. Those schizos said it would! Covid time gave me a long-needed vacation and renewed my passion for life. Sorry you experienced the opposite with that ass raping.
Tough break.

2861719971.gif - 496x258, 1.44M

You see, I could see them doing the background check. That would make sense. They wouldn't want someone busted for thievery handling money. They shouldn't discriminate based on how much money you've earned though.

The problem is the distribution in black markets. Habitual smokers will buy the strongest stuff. People who don't smoke often would be better off with a nice indica strain, but they don't buy weed much because it's illegal.

I grew up in the south east, where everyone smokes but doesn't want it legal.

There were background checks in the 90s. Some could be done on the World Wide Web.

People in the 1990s were allowed to live in blissful ignorance. The threat of nuclear war with the USSR was over, and we didn't feel like a major target for terrorism until 9/11. There were terrorist attacks like the World Trade Center and Oklahoma City bombings, but they could be chalked up as isolated attacks. People knew who Al Qaeda was, but they didn't feel like a threat to the homeland. Every few years, we'd fight some Arab country in an unlosable battle just to build up patriotism.

Why don't they want it legalized? The tax revenue has done wonders for the roughly half the US states which have adopted it. I sure like knowing where my weed was grown, how strong it is, and that 20% of the price helps fund schools and recovery programs for hard drug addicts locally.
I also love that legalization has driven weed down to the most insane prices I could never have dreamed of. You can treat yourself and spend $100 on an ounce of top shelf weed. Or you can spend $30 and settle for an ounce of 24% Blue Dream. 100 mg gummies for $5. That's an entire tray's worth of weed brownies the size of a Starburst for 5 bucks. You can get high 5 to 10 times for that.
Someone pinch me I must be dreaming.

5323345345.jpg - 768x768, 222.58K

The most you still heard about a war was over evening news. Constant media is bad for the developed world.

Sure, but after 9/11 I was still never worried about terrorist attacks on US soil or nuclear war either. That's just me though. Maybe I still live in blissful ignorance but as someone who clearly remembers pre and post 9/11 I really don't see any major distinction. A lot of things happened around the turn of the century with the internet and all, but nothing really changed for me. I never felt any "threat to the homeland". Bush sure tried selling that. I'm surprised anyone bought it. Old (actual) Boomers watching Fox News were probably frothed up into fear and anger, but life went on as normal for me and my circle.

lurk more

I had a weird COVID experience in that I was at the lowest point in my life depression-wise around January of that year, and somehow COVID made it all better. Most of my depression was centered around loneliness, low self esteem, and self pity. My job was "essential", so COVID made a world where everyone struggled just as much as me or worse, so it was easy for me to practice stoicism and get my life back on track.

Overall less records of stuff, you get paid cash, you don't report it.
Now even buying a burger at McDonalds is on record

And some of my Skoal-dipping, quad-boggin', gun-shooting, truck-driving, light beer drinking weekend warrior reserve buddies got all patriotic and went off to war.
They ended up being the dumbasses portrayed briefly fucking shit up for the main characters of Generation Kill, lol.
What a waste that was. Got a nice case of PTSD for no good reason. I guess every generation needs a cause to get into. Then came Occupy movement and now the Palestine shit. I never pay much attention to any of it. None really affects me. I'm happy because I came of age in the 90s. I have old world knowledge. I remember the world before this virtual one and I can use my brain in both.
So I get in lots of beefs with people in this sewer.

can only be uplifted if everyone else is as miserable as yourself

grim

15 years so far. I guess I haven't put in enough time, junior. Perhaps we just don't share the same knowledge of whatever you think was there to be missed. Or perhaps there was nothing at all.

Life was pretty easy mode until 2008 I would say.
The best part of the 1990s up to mid 00s was that you could pretty much walk right out of high school into a decent career job, tonnes of my friends went right out of highschool into Government work and were on almost 6 figures before my STEM friends even completed university.
Now even basic fucking jobs that pay maybe $2 more than minimum wage require a degree, 5-10 years experience. I've seen this shit for even grounds maintenance and janitorial jobs.

Why don't they want it legalized?

because the boomers in power were inculcated with the belief that weed was heroin-tier bad. if you smoked weed, you were seen as no better than a skag fiend.

Good. Glad it wasn't all bad for everyone. It's awesome to come out of depression and everyone is waiting for you and you realize you're pretty awesome and not ugly or weird and people like you. Everything is all in your head. Depression sucks because your perspective makes everything seem sucky when it's not.
So many people on this site don't seem to have awareness of this and they just think the world is just objectively shit. Like they forgot how to just stay happy anyway like a kid can if you just tap into that mindset. You can't teach it or give it away though.
The bitter pissy people don't get it anymore than I understand their angry existence.

237744641338.jpg - 640x800, 115.15K

Reagan Nuclear War mongering stuff was so insane looking back on it. Imagine thinking pathetic westaboo cuck Gorbachev and his advisors, all literally on the US Payroll (Yakovlev and the like, US even bragged Yakovlev was the best investment the US ever made), were ever going to launch a strike against the US.
Gorbachev literally didn't even quell nationalist and fascist uprisings across the USSR. He literally handed over the entire media to Anti-Communist nationalists because of his "critique, critique, critique everything" agenda.
I wonder how people look back on the 1980s USSR and even pretend to think they were a threat and not entirely sychophantically controlled opposition.
Read the memiors of US and European negotiators dealing with Gorbachev, they literally think he's an actual childlike retard in how much he trusts Reagan/Bush and the US.

he's making a reference to the danc,ing Isr*eli's

That's another fun thing about life since the 90s.
In the 90s I got busted with weed and grounded for a month. 30 years later my elderly parents have their nighttime 5mg THC/CBD gummy to help get to sleep and I smoke a joint on their porch when I visit. Weird how that evolved and the stigma just evaporated. The DARE program was a joke.

may as well dump these again

pretty much the only thing the DARE program accomplished was getting kids to try out drugs

This , and the fact that people ruin things for everyone. Atlanta decriminalized weed, since then I can't walk around Piedmont Park or take MARTA without smelling weed.

Smelling weed is some major inconvenience? There are far more offensive odors in a city. I always like smelling weed in public when I do. Someone's having a good time.

Yeah, some of it stinks, esp the strong stuff.

Financial positions, and "secure" positions

Sounds mid

No, but they WERE easy. If I had been a teenager now rather than the 90s I would be absolutely fucked. At the time I was a miserable cunt, but I had no clue how good I had it economically/culturally. The biggest factor was jobs and cost of living. I could drop out of high school and easily walk in and out of full time jobs, and rent and food and energy cost nothing (compared to now).

Drugs are really expensive

It’s legal in my state and shops cater hard to retires. Medical was legal first so they’re are different taxes and limits. Rec shops love boomers

If I'd had immense wealth or been spoiled I'd have turned out an entitled asshole. My youth was just right I think. No major problems or hindrances, but struggles and obstacles like anybody. I've lost my wallet several times.

13981d07.jpg - 498x278, 28.58K

comfy post

Imagine if you didn't even have the capability of getting jobs or moving and taking care of your life. There are a lot of people here that have never even left the nest. I'm like you, but I can easily survive no matter how hard the times based on just being grown and having done it all already.

Drugs can be. Weed however is dirt cheap.

Just to highlight the culture aspect too. I'm currently watching the rugby and a commercial came on for a mattress company. The commercial features two morbidly obese homosexuals dry humping while making bear sounds. It's depressing just existing in this filth pit now.

My boomer dad was a bum until his mid 20s until he got a camera operator job at a local TV station in the late 70s, all he had to do was walk in one day and talk to the people in charge and they were like ''just show up tomorrow and we'll see if you do good'. Eventually they sold the station and my bad bought it for pennies and then sold it years later and made enough money to retire. No education, no experience whatsoever

I hate how boomers had it easy

I just got my medical card approved. I can print it out or wait for the mail. I want to go see what's different for me going from rec to med besides just missing the tax and having ungodly daily limits. I know there are a few products for med only, but hopefully other cool shit. I know I can get 24 hour delivery now, but I'd feel guilty using that. I don't have cancer or anything, just used the online way because anyone can if they want to spend the money and take the trouble of filling out a few forms and doing a 3 minute teleconference with a cool doctor.
Should be a stoney summer!

I left home at 17. Got a full time job at a supermarket as a high school drop out. 40 hours. Rented a studio apartment in the heart of a major global city. That job now would pay half as much, grant 10 hours a week and be occupied by an Indian engineering graduate. The rental would require 5 years of references and a MINIMUM 150k py salary (that's not remotely an exagerration). It's undeniable that had I been a zoomer with the same attitude I had as a teenager I would 100% be a 20 something NEET at home.

Wow, for all the conservative and backwards shit I hate about America, I'm glad there are still some standards as far as sex stuff on commercials. There's gay stuff and gross stuff but there's not humping stuff here yet. Commercials from abroad have always been more blue than here. I'm a lefty about most stuff but kind of a traditionalist about standards and practices. I like that Seinfeld used clever euphemisms to get around risque talk.

Your story was cool until the end where you say you hate it. Your dad did well, why aren't you happy for him and the advantages it eventually afforded you?

Your attitude sucks, dude. I'm grateful that everyone before me had it easy. I'm glad I have it easy in relation to those who've come after. I appreciate things I have rather than hating what I don't have or what others got.

I am grateful for my father being a provider well until my adulthood and paying for my education, I just wish I could give someone a firm handshake and get a well paying job instead of having to put in 5x the effort my father did

gato.jpg - 640x640, 35.17K

Yeah, but we DID eat breakfast. Don't dwell on how times have changed. Like anon posted earlier, people can now fall ass backwards into crypto fortunes. People can have unheard of silly jobs like social media influencer or public videogame player. Some dumbass with ZERO creativity or charisma can just upload police cam footage and lay AI voiceovers on it and make money on youtube.
For every disadvantage there's some new advantage which didn't exist. But that wealth disparity is growing ever wider and most of the 99% don't care about that as much as they care about social war nonsense and everything else that ISN'T the fact the a tiny few take more and leave the many with less. They're pacified with their games and phones and apps and virtual world. And I'm going to need them to stay there so I can reap the rewards of being experienced and unafraid while I'm still young enough to do so. They have youth on their side but they don't know what to do with it! lol

You're a man's woman. You hate other women and they hate you.

I rewatched it. They aren't """humping""", they are """smuggling" to get comfortable and zookeepers are watching them. I guess the point is "even monstrously obese hairy homosexuals can share our matttess and still be comfortable".

The stuff you listed is akin to winning the lottery as opposed to the norm. People who could make it now could have REALLY made it back then. A whole ton of loser zoomer NEETs now back then would have been "okay" back then by sheer virtue of better jobs and cheaper cost of living. Sad.

I have no idea, I was born in 1991

lol, so for you, yeah, it was the easiest time of your life. And you've been around long enough to not be a total idiot. Any younger than you and there's usually not a lot of respect or work with unless the individual had an exceptional upbringing.

3978204579.gif - 421x438, 1.94M

Yes. Now do you understand why we want to go back?

There's is no going back. It's lame to harp on it and how "unfair" everything is now. That's just a shit attitude that makes your life suck. You can be just as happy as in the 90s if you have the right mindset. If you want to lament all the changes and let it depress you you're just wasting your time. Realize that 'going back' is pointless and impossible and enjoy living in the now.
Here's to feeling good all the time.

I will do the opposite, and I will do SOMETHING.

No bro other anon is right. Just buy bitcoin early and have your parents pay for medical school and fund a college/childhood until your 30’s. What’s the big deal bro? He will have an awakening when a Physicians Assistant takes his job for half the pay. But hey! That million in crypto will be able to buy a nice starter home.

t. Zoomer who handshaked his way to a six fig job and has a home but still realizes this world is beyond fucked for the average zoomer

Nothing is ever bad ever bro! Take the vax, smoke weed, and vote blue!

Thanks for the white pill, Based Kramer.

Heyahoyaheyahoya!

Let's smokum peace pipe!

Stay in, get fat, don't fuck, don't work, play games, shitpost, get schizo, do your own research, vote contrarian and against your economic best interests because why not? You have nothing at stake really anyway and you trust nothing and believe only the rejection of facts.
I remember learning about Bizarro World from Seinfeld and here we are with people living in it.

Fuck you, I have it great but I can’t go out and have a beer like pic rel without everyone, young and old glued to their phones. I understand you don’t have a need for social engagement and get it all through your video games or still in school but living irl sucks now, the people are socially stunted, the women are appalling (your homosexual so you don’t care). Thank god I joined volunteer groups and societies but this shit is beyond fucked. It wasn’t even this bad socially before 2020. The people are broken

I got mine. I don't care about the plight of incel zoomers.

986816547.gif - 640x468, 707.88K

I just said I have a great job and make more than you ever will with your md. But I can’t still recognize it’s fucked for most people. My mom’s renowned in the field, I work at the biggest insurance firm, and my sister is in law with regards to healthcare. You’re fucked. The days of doctors being upper middle class are coming to a swift end. We will replace you with physicians assistants who did less school and will work for less pay. Also doctors are notorious at mishandling their money good luck, manchild. When you’re 32 trying to find a job to supplant your cost of living after being off mommy and daddy’s dime you’ll see what I’m talking about and realize how hard these other anons are having it.

*can still recognize
Also the vax is 100% increasing cancers across the board at an alarming rate. If you worked in oncology or cardiology you would already know this. In insurance our biggest fear is how to pay these life claims good thing younger people (you) don’t have them. Tick tock vaxxie

I'm older and straighter than you and I have no illusions about going back. I don't play on my phone in public and I graduated long ago. You want to whine about the modern world and let it ruin your mental health, fine. I have a bunch of friends I've been collecting since the 90s and they aren't broken or stunted. The women I know are also fine.
If you're old enough to know better why don't you know better? Especially if you claim to live in the real world? I'm out there and I'm not seeing what you're seeing. But as I've been stating, I don't have a doomed depressing worldview. I can change with the times.

I don't have an MD. I don't know who you're arguing with. You seem to be defending peoples' shitty hopeless outlooks. I don't know why you think I'm a spoiled zoomer or manchild or whatever. There are other people posting too.

Pretty much. My fiances boomer mom once bragged about how in the 80s she rented a space above a Mexican restaurant, worked for tips down in the restaurant 30 hours a week, and still had money to put gas in her car and go shopping for fun. Of course, boomer mom thought this story would illustrate her ability to work hard, save money, and make sacrifices lol. This "easy mode" way of life (Being lazy and still not needing government assistance to live a decent life) was available to people well into the 90s

American history according to Anon Babble:

America begins

Civil War (really bad, niggers everywhere)

unknown period

WWI happens I guess

WWII happens and we were on the wrong side, 99% of history takes place here

50s happen, golden age

60s, things are changing...

70s, ok wtf is this...

80s ok kind of a comeback

90s okay this is epic, I am a child and this is the new golden age

00s wtf okay 9/11 is bad and my parents got divorced...

10s erm what's happening

20s okay bye bye America...it's over...

im all for being optimistic and not being despondent but life is objectively shit for most people by most metrics because of declining quality of life, lower wages and increasing prices, no amount of "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" finger wagging is going to change that

We need to give more tax breaks to billionaires and impose fewer regulations on huge corporations which don't want to offer Americans a living wage while also cutting all the government "handouts" necessary to get by without good jobs.
Let's keep electing people who do that. That'll fix the economy. Elon's fixing the economy for us! And what memes! Yep.

I came to a revelation a long time ago. Your situation in life is almost always solely determined by your autistic need to excel in the domain of your choosing.
Sportsball players that are "genetically gifted" are literal anomalies. 99.99% of them are your average dudes that just had an extremely obsessive passion to grind the hell out of doing sports.
It goes for anything really. Academics, socializing, work, etc.
You really do just have to just show up and do the thing.
Problem is, most people don't see results fast enough so they give up and settle for what's comfortable.

LOL, this is perfect.

I predict others here will not appreciate it as much.

I don't think life is "objectively shit" for many Americans. Not one bit. Look at how people live in Africa and South America and worse. That's real poverty. That's real fear and doom. Everyone bitching online from the comfort of their shelter with a full stomach of junk food (or any food) about how dad and gramps before him had 'easymode' and now everything sucks, they'll get no sympathy from me. We all have privilege. We're right now in a forum of absolute free speech and I don't have any worry of bombs falling on my house or where my next meal is coming from. Most of us are on some kind of drugs, recreational or prescribed, and have access to medical care should we need it.
No one here is starving or on the street. No one here does back-breaking manual labor. Most are just chiefly upset (whether they realize it or not) that they've never had sex.
People are only living shit lives because they compare their lives to Kardashians and other wealthy celebrity false idols.
I compare my life to those truly suffering and I see my privilege and advantages and remember that life is pretty good.

You left out the identity politics of tier rankings of whiteness like they were real OGs.

There are people here who excel at shitposting.

I agree with you. I've tapped into some passions before but there was either no money in it or I wasn't good enough. But I kept at them anyway for my own enjoyment. I never cared about acquiring material wealth. I'm an artsy stoner type who takes 'er easy and would rather be happy than rich. I've never found life to be so difficult I became a bitter cunt about it.
I show up and do stuff but I never found the right time and place and activity to become a super success at any one thing. But I have fun and lots of friends and people find me interesting and I never get bored so I feel I've won in life in my own way.
I'll never have 6 figures to my name probably but I'll never starve or freeze to death either.
I credit the the 90s most for shaping my outlook on life.

I can still get a job based on a face-to-face interview and a conversation. The world hasn't changed, people have. People will look past other shortcomings when you have confidence and charm.

Let's not fight. We have more in common than not.

Preach on brother, I've agreed with all your posts silently in my mind throughout the thread. People just gotta take it easy and find their own happiness because it can get so much worse. Gotta be like the K-man, man. Dial it back, settle for more realistic goals, know you can't change the world but you can change yourself.

For me, I know I got some brat out there from my more zen mishaps from back in the day (LOL!) but that little dude is on his own, I can't afford that shit while dumbass kids are bitching about not being youtube streamers. But I got my place, I got my streams and weed, I get neighbor pussy (just like kramer again haha) and that's all I need.

He was a famous comedian who had national TV appearances, he wasn't a struggling comedian in the show

I like when people claimed George always had hot women out of his league.

Go back to your board, Anon Babbletard. The fact that you deflect responsibility for destroying an incredible way of life away from the boomers who ruined it automatically invalidates any opinion you have on where we're at now.

lol, whatever. I'd never post on Anon Babble. They wouldn't like my opinions there.

Not that I give a fuck if anyone likes my opinions here.

Ah, that's why so many adults in their 20s and 30s can't afford a house, they're just not trying hard enough because they eat out on the weekends and buy big TV's. Thanks for visiting Anon Babble, David Ramsey!

People need to like my opinion in order for me to feel comfortable sharing it

I just checked with Anon Babble, and they confirm: you're a low-T beta cuck.

and buy big TV

I heard my "neighbour" who rents the house next to mine complain about it the other day but you wouldn't believe what they have in their living room... A flatscreen tv! The cheek of it!

NTA but I don't believe anyone here bitching has worked at their obsessive passion nonstop and still failed. If you put 10,000 hours into something with all your heart you will become good enough at it that someone will pay you well to do it.
No one's telling you to eat beans and rice here, but if that's what it took to follow your dreams you do it and you'll get where you want to be.
Most people like you project a defeatist attitude and use that as an excuse to do bitch about failure. If owning a house is your main passion though I'm sure you'll get there somehow.

Yeah, zoomers came in at the end.
The best is over.

I almost immediately covered that, but you must be in a hurry to be wrong.

Yes, your parents lived the best modern life possible while taking away your future

There's truly nothing to live for.

I love Jerry

Jerry is tolerant and accepting of others with differences.

damn an actual comfy seinfeld thread in 2025? feels like im back in comfy ass 2012

That's because I'm fueling it and I'm one of the 2012 people who never left and yet never lost my grip on reality. Lots of schizos and doomers and zoomers in here but we're fighting them.

I lived in the 90s so I'm not a fucking retard.

Absolutely buckbroken

A metallic Squink

Do you have a single fact to back that up?

Friendly reminder that Kramer was NOT a bum, but actually an honest union man who was on strike but still didn't just sit on his haunches but tried to find other ways to busy himself, even working for free in an office!

Don't encourage them. They were trying to derail from Seinfeld and they probably left long ago.

They're blind to our tyranny!

Seinfeld thread

muh bootstrap mentality

Boomer scum detected, and fuck you for continuing to spread this lie.

Why is it called Ovaltine?
The jar is round. The mug is round. They should call it RoundTine!

lol, keep spreading hopelessness and bitterness and blaming someone else you fat, lazy layabout. This is a weekday. This is what we're doing. You are not suffering or hungry right now. You have it better than 90% of the world and still you whine.
Fuck you for your oversimplification of what you don't understand, little shaver.

spacious apartment

is just a comedian

was seinfeld as a comedian pre-Seinfeld the show that funny

For $50? I'd put my face in his soup and blow!

Spongeworthy.

A bit of a close-talker.

Jujyfruit.

Shit, I had more GIFs and cool old Seinfeld images from the last 20 years of collecting.

Stay positive and remember the good times of the 90s without forgetting all you have now.

i was gonna reply with a gif of lil b to commemorate the era, but we reached the limit. stay based and true, anons.

The best-selling comedians are never actually that funny. Case in point: carrot top being a multimillionaire selling out shows in Vegas day after day.

Matter of taste. Dane Cook sold tons of albums. Carrot Top IS entertaining even if it's not high art. Anyone can appreciate him from kids to old ladies. I'm a comedy snob and I don't hate his act.
A lot of the Netflix-based comedians with a lot of success don't make me laugh. Seinfeld is a wordsmith with a very distinct style that everyone can relate to. And he works clean. It's relatable humor that comes off as effortless. Jim Gaffigan does that too. Steven Wright as well.
Depends on what you like, but comedians and audiences respected Seinfeld as a standup.

How long did they stay in jail?
Would they be released by today? There should be a sequel. To bury this stupid show if not for anything else, if my childhood franchises were killed, yours should as well

The Curb Your Enthusiasm series finale covered all that. And season 8 served as the reunion. It picked up where Seinfeld left off. The spiritual successor from the main mind behind Seinfeld.

Adebisi killed all of them before they could get out.
