I'm never going to read it.

irish fartsniffing

Finn Mccool by idris elba

unironically i'd be a great Harold Bloom but i have NEVEr been cuckolded by a moustachechad

Ulysses is fucking dogshit, one of the worst books I've ever read. Offensively ugly, in true leftist style. If you want some good reads try

War and Peace

Rousseau's Discourse on The Arts and Sciences

Plutarch's Lives

Charterhouse of Parma

Goethe's Faust (parts 1 and 2)

Count of Monte Cristo (though I hate the ending)

Demons

I had to tap out after like 200 pages of demons.
Go ahead call me a pleb

I gave up after Dantes found the treasure in Monte Cristo

No you aren't, it's a very slow start, the back half is phenomenal, but certainly don't fault you.
You mean when they introduce Albert and Franz? That's fair too, the book really slows down at that point after some really excellent pacing. Also couldn't fault you for it, but it picks back up pretty quickly once the book allows you to get your bearings

Probably the best book I've read in the last decade or so is Tyll by daniel kehlmann.

I haven't read any books within the last century intentionally, but I'll try to check it out. Thanks anon

Thanks for giving me an out on demons.
Also I hate going to bookstores now because like 90% of new books are weird game of thrones ripoffs with names like "the prince and the roses" by female authors .

No.

Do not buy new books, do not go to bookstores. Find a cheap e reader and read classics you can find on sites like Project Gutenberg. All the stuff I recommended is freely available

I prefer physical books. I get them from the library.

That's fair. Lit has a yearly top 100 books that's pretty solid, mostly older stuff, some shit like I think Ulysses worms it's way in there each year, but it's a good place to look for recs. I mostly like lit as a board too

Why is it called Ulysses? I don't remember
I read this 30 years ago

I prefer physical books

same

Oh just to add, if you ever get deep into French history you should go back to Demons and maybe just skip ahead a bit if it's that painful. It's a really interesting question of what if the affected class of revolutionaries who rebelled via writing and argument were confronted with youth who wanted to enact change by force. Specifically it's what if Rousseau's bastard children came back to enforce his will to the detriment of his own comfort. Hilarious stuff, but you have to have an extremely good picture of what was going on in that time period to find humor in it

I actively buy physical books

Yes. About 40% through.

They already did. Like the book, over half the movie's runtime is Circe. It's actually pretty decent, considering they adapted a fully literary experience into an audio-visual experience.

this feels like it should have ciaran hinds in it but it probably doesnt

its a parody. he wanders around Dublin, his wife is analogous to Penelope and is implied to be cheating on him but they fuck at the end, etc.

How much screentime goes to watching a Jewish dude take a shit while being horny? The book gives it like 2% of its time so I'd expect no less than 3 minutes of play on that.

if reddit was around back then this would have been their favourite book

I like how pro Jew it is, maybe it would be more of a MAGA/MIGA book

I'll come back to it eventually but it's the time of year where I have to read gormenghast again.

I meant normal reddit before it was endorsing terrorists and censoring free speech and was just lol so randumb xD humor.

I don't think they endorse israel and america

no u

Yeah ok

What?

Just give it a watch, anon. It's barely 2 hours long. What else are you going to do today?

wha- whaaat? whaaaaat? I'm so confused???? what could anybody possibly mean by that???? whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

Meds

What else are you going to do today?

Same thing I do every workday, beat the absolute fuck out of people in VR boxing

So you don't think America and Israel are terrorist states when they clearly are by definition?

Why do you have negro arms attached to your human arms?

Buck Mulligan

What you're seeing is a severe contrast difference between the brightness on the headset and my comparatively dark living room. I'm white, my character is white, anything less than white is not human but I appreciate your vigilance in trying to catch a negro even though it's in this instance misplaced

When Mom comes home you're gonna get KILLED.

If she lets me have a power rack in the living room she won't fault me for being a bad sport in virtual boxing bro

Better watch out, hassan, times are changing.
